Welcome to the neighborhood for our newest coffee shop! Last weekend was Ceremony's soft opening and this was their first week. In short: great pastries, great drinks, good vibes! FOOD: Ceremony had a good supply of bagels and pastries to choose from. Their homemade bagels were tall and fluffy and the chipotle schmear was spicy and fresh. No skimping out here! My bagel was chock full of chipotle deliciousness. For pastries, we tried their beautiful Chocolate Babka which was FILLED with chocolate. The cinnamon roll was with a cream cheese frosting (my personal favorite choice for cinnamon rolls) with orange zest to finish. DRINKS: Along with your standard coffee drinks here (coffee, latte, cappuccino etc) they also had several specialties such as a Rose mocha, fennel maple latte, and Carmel cream nitro cold brew. I tried the cappuccino and the Carmel cream nitro. When it comes to espresso based drinks. I tend to be pretty picky but both the quality of coffee was excellent and the "pull" of espresso was great as well. The owners of Ceremony also own Cerberus coffee so it's roasted locally. SERVICE: Normally when there's a new business, I try to be generous in my reviews knowing they may need to work out kinks but the team functioned like a well-oiled machine. Even with consistent flow of customers coming through the door, they were efficient and quick with the drinks and there was hardly a wait. All the employees were friendly and warm and the owners were also present and take clear pride in their business. SEATING: the building is pretty generous in size so it's quite roomy. Right now there is primarily smaller tables and chairs which works perfectly- but the owners told us they're going to add a bench seating all along one of the walls which I think will help pull the area together well and I look forward to that addition read more

Ceremony is hands-down the best coffee shop I've ever been to. So mellow and decorated so cute! The whole team is so kind, always laughing and working together--it feels like home when you walk in. I usually don't drink coffee, but their Piloncillo latte is the best I've ever had (thanks to Red, who makes it literally perfect every time). Milo at the register always greets me with such kindness! It's my favorite place to stop at when I get done with church and just starts the day perfectly! Even their everything bagel with homemade spread blew me away--I never expanded out of Philadelphia cream cheese so I was shook trying something homemade and absolutely delicious. Ceremony isn't just a coffee shop, it's an experience that makes you feel good inside and out. Truly Deserving of 5 stars! If I could give it 6 I would! read more

Had some amazing fresh bagels with cream cheese this morning. I would like to try the focaccia next time. Ceremony will probably become one of our regular weekend breakfast spots. We stopped here for coffee on a Monday and had a good experience. The latte was expertly made and perfect. I had a chocolate boba that was just the right ratio of chocolate to pastry - not too sweet and very aromatic. My husband had the Caprese sandwich and raved about the focaccia. The service was friendly and prompt. We hope this team does well, and urge people to support the business. read more

They used to have the perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie. What happened? They're hard and seem slightly stale everytime I buy one now. Seems like quantity is more important then quality here, which is a defilement to the Cerberus legacy. Also maybe you should keep you're cookies in a sealed container, then they wouldn't be so frickin' stale! read more

Bagels are the best! Always Fresh and lots of options. the taste transports me back to my hometown of NY.

It is a friendly neighborhood place with enough windows to allow you to feel apart of the surroundings. The bagels could easily be the best I've had since leaving New York City. The food in general is quite excellent and seems lovingly prepared. The holiday pies were nothing sort of phenomenal. I will be back. read more

If you're a matcha drinker I think the photos speak for themselves. Bagels were good though. Friendly and they offered to remake one of the drinks. Shop itself is spacious and cute. read more

I've driven past Ceremony many times and that name did not conjure up the best bagels I've had in years. I thought that maybe it was a clothing store, or a nick nack store, but NOT bagels. So it was with great surprise that I found out that it was a bakery which specialized in a few things done very well, including bagels. The bagels on offer are also on point, with the perfect texture, a mix of tender center and chewy crust. They are the equal of any bagel I've enjoyed, and I've enjoyed a lot of them over the years, in many places. The price was a bit of a shock, but they're worth it. While we were at Ceremony we tried out some of their other offerings. The Ubi cakes were equally fine. The bacon scone was a disappointment because the ingredients were not evenly distributed and I didn't get any bacon until the last bite. The chocolate chip cookie was good, but not great. It was a little lacking in flavor and tasted too much of flour. That said, I'll be coming back for those wonderful bagels! I should also add that the counter service was excellent, friendly and professional. The owners have put a lot of thought into their store as well as their goods. Great bagels with shmear, great place to study, amazing chai and Oregon fog and Ube matcha!! Such kind employees too!

This place bakes the most authentic bagel I've had out here. The dough is firm and proofed just right, then boiled and baked, so it has a nice chewy outer shell. It's covered with an abundance of seeds, or you can get a plain bagel. And it's fresh from the oven! That's something I haven't had since living in NY, where bagels are baked all day long - not just first thing in the morning. A friend pointed out the Yiddish misnomer on the menu. It offers a 'bagel with a shmear.' However a shmear is Yiddish for a light smear of cream cheese. If you order that here you get a bagel with a thick quarter pound block of cream cheese on it. Wha? So I bring my unadorned bagel home and prepare it the old-fashioned Lower East Side way, and I'm very satisfied. read more

coffee was ass with a really bitter grainy taste guy who made coffee got mad because we walked past his blue toyota worth probably 800$ was really cocky and coffee was shit once again there was a girl who looked pretty nice and was nicer then the guy but the guy was just an ass overall horrible customer service rushed with the coffee. Dont recommend Starbucks hot chocolate taste better even if it was 40000 degrees I would rather die them drink anything related to this excuse of a coffee place read more

Ceremony brings fresh house-made bagels to Talent, Oregon and they are amazing. So happy they have opened up here. Right now they are in their soft opening stage, so their menu is limited, but they plan to offer many more things in the future. I'm delighted with the bagels even without other items. They also have a great coffee and tea menu. read more
