I have was getting this pain on the arch of my left foot so I searched on YELP for the nearest podiatrist and made an appointment to check things out. They are located inside the Cerritos Medical Center, on the corner of Clarkdale Ave and Artesia Blvd. The major cross streets are Artesia Blvd and Pioneer Blvd, South of the 91 Freeway. Dr. Gina Wilvang was the one that treated me and she gave me a good overview of what I was going through. I had Plantar Fascitis which is an inflammation of the tissue that extends from the heel to the toes. Nothing that can't be treated as long as I wear the proper shoes, complete streching exercises, and massage the foot while also using ice to reduce the inflammation. My visit didn't last long at all and the wait time to see the doctor was minimal. Dr. Wilvang was courteous, friendly, and informative. I rated 3 stars because the visit was nothing out of the ordinary. If I continue to receive good treatment options and great service in the following visits, I'll adjust the rating accordingly. There are 2 other podiatrists that reside there. Dr. Shawn Todd Van Enoo and another female Korean podiatrist that I didn't catch the name of. Also, when completing the preliminary paperwork, I noticed that there's a $25 appt cancellation fee, if you don't make the visit or let them know within a certain period of time. Usually, people think this is ridiculous but I've seen this fee go as high as $75 or $100 at other medical practices so it's good to read before you sign. read more

Dr. Van Enoo is such a great podiatrist! I've had 2 surgeries done by him so far (plantar fasciitis & bunion ectomy, both on the same foot) and I am feeling so much better. He cares a lot for his patients, and it really shows. I drive over 40 miles (one way) just to get treatment from him. He is very personable and easy to talk to. He won't pressure you to do anything you're not ready to do. Which makes me feel good because he's not in the business to just make money off his patients, he wants to help heal the patients while making them feel comfortable. read more

I don't really write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience this time. First of all, I believe that Dr. Van Enoo is very skilled as a podiatrist, and he seems to provide great care for his patients. My issue has to do with the managerial practice of the office. I went to see Dr. Van Enoo around April 2019 for severe feet pain (plantar fasciitis). Dr. Van Enoo informed me that that shoe inserts/orthodics would likely help alleviate the pain...it would take a week to receive authorization from my PPO plan. The office personnel told me that they will call me if/when the request was approved, which would be about a week. I did not hear back from the office for about three weeks, so I decided to call them. They informed me that they still haven't received authorization...and I did not hear from them for over two months, so I called the office the first week of August (over two months after my initial visit) to see what the status was. I was told that my insurance carrier DID approve the request. However, I had called my insurance carrier right before to see if they authorized the doctor's request, but they reported that they never received any request from the doctor. Either there's an oversight with my insurance carrier or the doctor's office. Unfortunately, by this time, I was going to go back to work (as a teacher), so I would no longer have time to come in for an office visit anytime soon (the beginning of the school year is the busiest and most hectic time of the year). Now, I'm back at work suffering from my foot pain again since I'm on my feet most of the day. read more

Dr Van Enoo is awesome! I've seen him for over 10 years and recently had my bunion ectomy done by him. Perfection. He is a great doctor, knows what's he's doing, on top of it he's just a great person. He's funny, kind, and cares about his patients. Can't say enough good things about him! read more

I called a few minutes before they opened today and I was able to be seen by an awesome doctor 30 minutes later! I've been in pain for several months due to a callus that formed on my big toe. I finally couldn't take the pain any longer and was able to meet with Dr Gina Wilvang. Dr Wilvang was very sweet and professional explaining causes and solutions to all of my foot concerns. She did an excellent job at removing my callus with little to no discomfort at all during the procedure, in less than 5 minutes! I am able to walk much more comfortably now. I have been seeing Dr. VanEnoo for a little over 3 years now and he is the best. He used to have an office in Irvine which is 5 minutes from my home and moved to Cerritos which is 40 minutes from my house! But I will never go to another podiatrist ever again. Dr. VanEnoo is the absolute best. I had a neuroma on my foot and had to have surgery and have arthritis in my toes and he helps with with everything. He is so knowledgable and knows how to talk to you so I can understand what is wrong. I have never had to wait to see him for an appointment more than 5 minutes. Overall he is so worth the drive!! I'm sort of happy my foot pain got so bad today that it forced me to seek help on Yelp. I was thankful that I was able to get a same-day appointment within minutes of calling Cerritos Foot and Ankle. Dr. Gina Wilvang was absolutely lovely and personable. Her recommendations for my foot pain were practical and cost effective.
