They are located inside the Cerritos Medical Center, on the corner of Clarkdale Ave and Artesia Blvd. The major cross streets are Artesia Blvd and Pioneer Blvd, South of the 91 Freeway. Dr. Gina Wilvang was the one that treated me and she gave me a good overview of what I was going through. I had Plantar Fascitis which is an inflammation of the tissue that extends from the heel to the toes. Nothing that can't be treated as long as I wear the proper shoes, complete streching exercises, and massage the foot while also using ice to reduce the inflammation. My visit didn't last long at all and the wait time to see the doctor was minimal. Dr. Wilvang was courteous, friendly, and informative. I rated 3 stars because the visit was nothing out of the ordinary. If I continue to receive good treatment options and great service in the following visits, I'll adjust the rating accordingly. There are 2 other podiatrists that reside there. Dr. Shawn Todd Van Enoo and another female Korean podiatrist that I didn't catch the name of. Also, when completing the preliminary paperwork, I noticed that there's a $25 appt cancellation fee, if you don't make the visit or let them know within a certain period of time. Usually, people think this is ridiculous but I've seen this fee go as high as $75 or $100 at other medical practices so it's good to read before you sign.

Which makes me feel good because he's not in the business to just make money off his patients, he wants to help heal the patients while making them feel comfortable.

He was kind and super efficient both times, gave me tips for how to prevent it, and even gave me supplies for aftercare. However, I'm giving his business two stars because of the receptionists in the front. Even though I had a referral from my doctor, and showed them my insurance card, they refused to take it, making me pay over $500 out of pocket. They never asked me over the phone for my insurance, nor when I arrived 15 minutes ahead of time for my appointment, even though this is standard procedure at literally every medical office I've ever been to. I'm not sure if they assumed that because I paid out of pocket the first time, I would do it again (didn't have insurance at that time), but I hadn't been to the center in over *2 years*. It's just so weird that they didn't think to double-check, and then they proceeded to blame me for not bringing it up, giving me an attitude and everything. So much more than a pedicure at a nail salon. I am not a fan of pedicures but Ari changed that with her patience and gentle touch. She took her time and talked me through the process so that those little tugs or pulls would not take me by surprise. Vicky was very patient and gentle as well. She took care of my 80- yr young mom with the same patience and gentle touch as Ari. Thank you Ari and Vicky for your outstanding care! Dr. Ornelas is AMAZING. I have been suffering with the pain of ingrown nails on my big toes for…read moreapprox. 20 years. Sometimes my pedicurist would be able to dig the ingrown out, but most times not. I learned of a procedure that could permanently alleviate the ingrown nails and thus the pain. I went online and was debating between two practices, but based on the Yelp reviews and people ecstatic with the relief of my similar problem, the choice was easy. I went in at 11:30am on Monday. I'm thinking this is probably going to be a place where they suggest various alternatives and would take months to resolve the actual problem. I was so wrong. Dr. Ornelas confirmed my ingrowns. She then said, "We can take care of the problem right now, if you wish". I'm thinking did I hear right. No unnecessary alternatives, no wasting months down the road. I was in shock. I replied, "You mean right now?" Obviously thinking I didn't hear her right the first time. "Yes. Right now, if you wish". She thoroughly explained the procedure. I then said "Heck yes". I wish the my dentist would have filled my cavity right away instead of making me come back 3 weeks later. Anyway, the numbing shots on the toes were tolerable. My ingrown nails were removed. I was out of the office in less than an hour. The follow up is just soaking the feet a couple of times a day, apply Neosporin and bandaids, and return in two weeks. The was post surgical pain was minor. You could take Tylenol or Ibuprofen if needed. I am over the moon so far with the results. I felt stupid not doing this sooner. I had it done Monday. It is now Thursday. Sandals are still more comfortable. However aside from that, there has not been any disruption in my life. Dr. Ornelas was kind, professional and confident. She didn't seem to mind that I babbled through the entire procedure. I am grateful for this practice and looking forward to pain free pedicures and pain free big toes in the near future. Swift & Positive; went to see constance orlenas, podiatrist; can't say enough good things about the…read morelevel of care; parking was easy; directions to the upstairs suite- easy to follow - elevator is right there. it's like they took in mind patients have difficulty walking or moving. thank you superior foot and ankle care center. positive comments all the way; our necessary boot was in stock (emergency room did not have), you had tape we needed to wrap broken bones, clean office, fast service - took xrays; if you need foot or ankle care, go to superior foot and ankle care center!
