This is another one of those things that happened to pop up from somebody who I follow on Yelp. It looked like a great little place to go and I'm so glad we went. This is actually a small park that is walled in and beautifully landscaped. There are several sculptures as you walk around the path that forms kind of a circle. It's right at the Civic center with City Hall and a large library, which also have some sculptures. One is a really cute fountain with four feng shui animals. The sculptures range from modern art to more realistic statues. There is a memorial sculpture in honor of the victims of the Aero Mexico crash of 1986 In which a DC-9 crashed into neighborhood just before noon on a Sunday, destroying 5 homes and damaging 7 more, killing all 64 people on board of the DC-10, all 3 people in the small plane that hit the DC-10, and 15 people were killed in their homes. It was so sad to see the sculpture with two separate placques--one with those who died on the ground and those passengers in the two planes. Ten where children. It was so sad to see the names of family members who were killed just hanging out at home in a Sunday morning. Very, very touching. This is garden is small, but it is really a hidden gem!

Cute little garden located by the library! Loved the sculptures. The garden is very serene.

Nice little spot to have a stroll and take pictures! Like others have said, the space is pretty small (takes about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace), but it's perfect for killing a bit of time. There are some pretty cool sculptures, and the paths/grass is well maintained. If you're coming by using Apple Maps like I did, you can park way farther inside the lot if you want to be closer to the actual garden. Otherwise, you walk past the sheriff station and city hall (also decorated by some sculptures, actually).

Beautiful hidden gem for those who enjoy sculpture art and statues. Plenty of parking for cars. Worth a look.

Small unassuming place where you can enter into a peaceful space in the middle of the busy library, Cerritos high school and civic center/ sheriff's station. Lots of people park here to wait for the high school dismissal so it's quite busy in the afternoon. No entrance fees, just a collection of seemingly random items, in the midst of well maintained walkways and greenery. I noticed confetti and a champagne cork - the remains of what imagine was a proposal. It's quite picturesque here, am sure prom night photos would look great as well. Trees are well trimmed and still shady, lots of benches for sitting and hanging out, hedges are well planted to provide sound buffers. Steps away from the library and civic center.

Such a cute little spot! It wasn't crowded at all when we visited, which made it feel even more special. We only had a short amount of time between other plans, but it was definitely worth the quick stop. The garden is charming and peaceful -- a nice break from the usual busy places. I'd love to come back and spend a little more time exploring when I'm not in a rush!

    Come on in!

Relatively small and hidden, it's a nice relaxing place to walk around in to enjoy the artwork. Free parking behind it and free entry to the garden. There's less than a dozen sculptures so you'll be done fairly quickly unless you like to sit and ponder the artist's masterpieces. We enjoyed ourselves and would wonder through again if in the area. Enjoy!

A nice little park with a garden setting. It's tucked behind tall greeneries and located across a parking lot opposite of the Cerritos Library. There are 2 entrances, one from the parking lot and a smaller one off the street. It's a decent sized garden. If you're not really into sculptures or art, you can easily blow right through in 5 minutes. But if you like art, a nice peaceful setting to take pictures or just sit and chill, then this may be a nice spot to spend some time. Unfortunately I didn't spot any plaques describing each sculpture except for the one that's to memorialize the victims of the Cerritos air disaster, where 2 planes collided and fell onto homes. My family and I spent about a 1/2 hour here taking photos and strolled at a leisurely pace. Not a bad way to walk off a big lunch we had nearby.

    After sundown.

Quiet. It's a bit tucked away, which probably keeps traffic light. What is not to love about this outdoor sculpture garden? It's free; it's beautiful; it's something different. If you're in the neighborhood and need some peace, perhaps a moment to collect your thoughts, this is just the place.

Road Trip: While heading to Cerritos last week, I looked up things to do & stumbled upon the Cerritos Sculpture Garden. Since my friend & I were already in the area, why not explore! Sightseeing: What a cute sculpture garden! Both tall & small sculptures, a fountain & a nearly hidden hedge covered pathway were pretty cool to see. It's a nice walk-through & has fun photo moments throughout! Things To Consider: There are several places to sit if you choose, as well as free parking. I can even imagine having a nice little lunch there if you happen to be in the area. Nearby, just a few steps away is also the Cerritos Library which caught my eye! Overall: I'm glad we stopped by! Art is usually a great idea, which can stimulate imagination in all forms!

This garden is mind-blowing in a good way! There are so many remarkable sculptures that have meaning and are interesting to look at. Some even appear to defy gravity, others bring you back to your childhood whimsically and for a moment, think like a child. The meta sculpture actually captured my mind momentarily and made me have some intellectual thoughts, which is so rare for me. Many people take family photos or pose on the sculptures, which provides a moment of freedom from the usual spots you find within a city. If you have young children or have a few moments during lunch, find this Garden to soak in some of the art and nature!

What a quaint garden to enjoy some beautiful sculptures! There's parking behind the garden next to the city hall and library. Blink ev chargers are also available. My family enjoyed a snack and spent about 20 min here, luckily temperatures were mild since there isn't much shade. It was nice seeing children run around the grassy areas. There's relatively a lot of space, just need to watch the entrance which leads out onto the Main Street.

    Hi

Best outing ever! My grandchildren (ages 6, 8, and 11) loves everything about this sculpture garden. I loved the easy access, free parking, no fee admission, clean environment, well maintained (secure atmosphere with Sheriff's station next door. The 11 year old, was so excited about the sculptures, she pulled out her sketch pad and drew everything! Even the bamboo was fascinating to the children (who knew?!) Beautifully arranged, super interesting and even mini-child-sizes sculptures. My grandchildren begged to come back here as if it was Disneyland! And it was all free! I'm so delighted we found this on Yelp! I was searching for a "hedge maze" and it turns out there was a very similar hedge-type structure here, but the best part of this garden experience was the open-air LOVELY atmosphere. Wow!

We were greeted by the giant saltwater aquarium, which my boys went bananas over. Inside of the children's area, there's a plaque that provides the tank information. Also in there are so many fun areas to read. There's a lighthouse, huge tree, dinosaur skeleton, space ship, and much more! There are also plenty of places to sit and read, both quiet and more in the thick of things. Lots of tablets as well. And friendly staff. The library also has a really nice selection of books in certain languages. I wish they had Thai, but it was nice to see representation! I also really appreciate the audio tour. I didn't listen to it this round, but the fact that it's there and that there's so much on display really makes this library special. There's a dedicated YA area that requires a school ID to get into. They also have newspapers and a really snazzy reading room! Next time, I'll use it. While they have swag and books at the book shop, there was no one volunteering there when we went, so we didn't get a chance to go inside. Oh well, that just means we'll have to come back.

The interior is modern, bright, and aesthetically pleasing, making it such a relaxing place to spend time. It's peaceful, well-maintained, and simply a great space to read, learn, and unwind. My favorite part is the children's area. The aquarium is always a hit, and I love the prehistoric theme with the dinosaur fossils and the fun ceiling design. It makes the space feel so imaginative and inviting for kids. The library is also thoughtfully laid out with dedicated areas for children, teens, magazines and publications, plus an extensive collection of books on the second floor. There are even study rooms you can reserve ahead of time, which is a great feature if you need a quiet place to work or study. Parking is convenient since it's next to the sheriff's station and shares a large parking lot, including basement parking.

I walked into a space that is smaller than some larger Japanese gardens, but the layout feels carefully planned with winding paths, traditional landscaping, a koi pond, waterfalls, bridges, and quiet corners throughout. It is the type of place where taking your time matters more than trying to see everything quickly, and the smaller size actually makes the experience feel more intimate. The garden feels like a world apart from the campus surrounding it, and the transition from the university grounds to the garden is immediate and effective. The koi pond is easily the centerpiece of the garden and one of the most enjoyable parts to spend time around. I found myself lingering by the water, watching the fish move through the pond as the sunlight filtered through the trees. The fish are large and active, and the surrounding greenery, stone features, and water elements create a very relaxing atmosphere. The garden does a good job balancing natural scenery with traditional Japanese design, with each section offering a slightly different view and feeling as I walked through. The bridges and stone lanterns add to the sense of place, and the sound of the waterfalls creates a calming background that stays with you as you move through the space. What I liked most about this garden is how calm it feels despite being located on a college campus. It feels separated from the surrounding area once you enter, making it a nice place for a quiet walk, photography, or just taking a break. The landscaping is well maintained, and the entire space has a slower pace that encourages you to actually stop and appreciate the details rather than rushing through. The garden's design rewards a slow approach, with each turn in the path offering a slightly different perspective on the pond, the plants, and the stonework. The visit is fairly quick since the garden is compact, but it works well as a relaxing stop rather than a destination that takes up an entire afternoon. Reservations are required, so it is worth checking availability before going. Admission is free, although parking is an extra cost and can be the main inconvenience, especially during busy campus hours. The garden's location on campus makes it accessible, but the parking situation can require a bit of patience. Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden is a beautiful spot if you are looking for a peaceful escape rather than a large attraction. The koi pond, thoughtful design, and quiet atmosphere make it a place worth visiting, especially on a nice day when you can take your time walking through the garden. It offers a brief but meaningful pause from the surrounding city and campus life, and the care that has gone into maintaining the space is evident in every corner.

Otherwise you will be waiting in a huge line and may be fighting for a good spot, so you can be far away from the we*d smokers or smokers of any kind, if you are a nonsmoker like we are . Prices are still cheap. Only $14 for general admission (12 and older). Way better than walk in theater general admission prices. Pretty sure ticket prices are cash. So make sure you have cash for tickets. We came to see Mortal Kombat II. Which was amazing. I never saw the first movie. But you don't have to have seen the first to follow this movie. One reason I wanted to see this movie is Mortal Kombat II is my favorite video game (SNES) version of the MK video games. The best place to see an action movie is on the massive drive-in theater movie screen. Not Imax, etc. So we went here. Another great thing about drive in theaters is you can bring your own food and you can have privacy with your date inside your vehicle, if you know what I mean . Just have privacy glass. Because a family of kids can be parked next to your vehicle. If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle and watch. Which is also a great choice. Especially if you have kids. They will love sitting outside. If you do sit outside, bring a coat, blanket, etc. It gets cold at night. The concession is cheap af and not like walk in movie theater prices. For example, their large popcorn is huge. Yet its only $10 with taxes. We got ours with extra butter. They offer a lot of other good stuff too at great prices. But we only wanted warm popcorn with extra butter. I saw some raggedy ATM machines in there. Not sure if concession got them there so you can use cash to buy food. But I didn't ask as I already had some cash on me to buy popcorn. So make sure you bring cash for concession as well. Make sure you vehicle radio can tune to 90.1 FM and you can leave it on without it draining your battery and without parking/headlights being activated. It drives us movie goers crazy when some foolish person will turn on their headlights while everyone else is trying to enjoy the film. Also, if you need a radio for showing, you can buy one from them for $20 at concession. Great experience here. I love this place. Like I said, I havent been here in like 6 years. Last time I was here, one ticket paid for double feature. Which was a steal. Because after Mortal Kombat II, I was looking forward to seeing Michael again. Which we already saw at a walk in theater. But we were ready to see it again on the biggest screen ever. They dont do double features anymore. So if the website shows two movies, dont misread like I did. It clearly says: "TICKETS ARE FOR A SINGLE SHOW TIME ONLY." I was wondering why everyone was leaving after Mortal Kombat II was over . We stayed in vehicle until security drove by and told us they only do single features. We weren't the only ones he had to tell. Great experience here. Cant wait to see another larger than life movie here.

Somehow there was always one ingredient missing... the truck, the timing, or the friends willing to do it.Last night it finally happened.I convinced two of my guy friends to go with me -- one visiting from Missouri and one from Temecula -- and we were all ridiculously excited. We honestly didn't think we were going to make it because our movie didn't start until 11 PM, but we pushed through. We had a bonfire first, and right as it turned 11 and we were getting ready to leave, I tripped, fell, and sprained my ankle. Worst timing ever. But if there's one thing about me, I do not like bailing on plans. I said nope, we're still going. We were just going to be sitting anyway, all cuddled up in the back of the truck with blankets and pillows, so I powered through. I tried really hard to get comfortable, and even with the ankle situation, it was still such a fun experience. This one is definitely going down in the memory books. There's just something so nostalgic and special about a drive-in movie. It feels like one of those classic '80s activities that hardly exists anymore, which honestly makes me sad. I'm so glad we finally did it, and I would absolutely do it again. If you've been thinking about doing a drive-in movie night, take this as your sign. Do it.

He asked me questions, which my recall of the incident already answered, prior. Sheriff Spencer suggested I misplaced my stolen item, which was virtually impossible, evidenced by many reasons I described to him. He asked for my ID, and told me to wait at the gym. I'm assuming looking me up in the database, making me feel as if I was the perpetrator. After several minutes, Sheriff Spencer gave me back my ID, spoke with the club manager, and reiterated I most likely misplaced the item, and with a good thorough cleaning, my lost item would be found. He filled out a report, which I signed and given a copy. What a complete waste of time & effort. I shouldn't even have had the club manager call the Cerritos Sheriff Station, as it was pointless and resolved nothing. I've been told by the 24 Hour Fitness club manager there are recurring thefts in the locker room, which the post meeting with the club manager was about, and I don't feel as if nothing will be done to minimize future incidents. Unless an absolute emergency, I don't think I'd call the Cerritos Sheriff Station, again.
