Jeannie made a financial error when she made the arrangements with our insurance company. She claims that the insurance company paid us for mitigation (of which there was none) and that that money was included in the check I received. Unfortunately, there was none paid to us for mitigation. What she did do was inflate the final invoice, thinking I'd pay it. I went back through all checks received, money paid, invoices, and finally the breakdown of the project, no mitigation money. I spoke with the insurance company, it was confirmed that there was no mitigation money paid to us. In two separate correspondences from Jeannie, there are two different net claim figures, there is a difference of $2,716.68, which one did I use? I used the higher of the two for the final payment. It is not my responsibility to make Victory Restoration whole or fix Jeannie's error. I filed a dispute with American Express and they found in our favor. I supported our position with documents provided not only by myself but with paperwork from Victory Restoration.
