The flight simulators, hypoxia, decompression training is amazing. Obtaining my G550 Evacuation Crew status is a priceless training to have. The emergency simulations of water landings, ditching, inflight fires, and all the other trainings are absolutely the best in the industry. The Morristown facility is absolutely beautiful. Aircraft not available for scheduled lessons, my checkride of all things was almost cancelled because they "forgot" to schedule me for it. 3 lessons in one week were never scheduled and no one had any idea why. I will use them to finish the PPL I started but that's it, Super expensive. I am done after the check ride.

So I visited a few flight schools today and by far this one was the most open and easily…read moreapproachable. What impressed me was that did not itemize or "nickle and dime" as much as the others. In am by no means saying that they are any less expensive when they quote you an average cost but they do have a few things that make the training more affordable. The highlight of my visit was a preview of their 2 simulators in which students may use gratis when they are enrolled. This is a huge deal since many schools will charge an hourly rate for the privilege. The only time they charge for sim training here is if it's instructor guided. That's a very fair deal in my opinion. Their aircraft use was more expensive BUT they have planes with analog instruments AND glass cockpit and ALL their planes go for the same price. Also, all of their planes are fuel injected which means no fussing with carb heat. Many other schools seem to charge more for upgraded technology. Ground school was not as pricey and the school does not push a package or kit for you to buy. No high pressure sales there. Kudos goes out to John there for alleviating some of my initial anxiety by letting me walk out to a plane and hop in for initial feel and showing me around. The other places I visited today all seemed either a bit harried or sticklers on a scheduled appointment for a more controlled visit. I'm happy that they are busy but I really needed something a bit more personal here and John did a great job. Though I still have a bit of anxiety I think I can now go forward and actually schedule a discovery flight. Oh and speaking of which, THIS school actually includes a simulator experience in addition to the flight. No one else I've previewed offers that either. Great way to ease someone into this.

Upon arrival my fiancée and I were greeted by our pilot, Mark, as well as the owner and his wife. Very friendly and made us feel welcome! We didn't waste much time, and I had the privilege of watching pilot Mark do his pre-flight. He was very thorough and I could tell the bird was immaculately maintained. Shortly thereafter we were strapped in and on our way! Having only been my 2nd helicopter flight, I was geeking out the whole time, and Mark was on top of his game. Soon we were circling around the statue of liberty and on our way up the Hudson. Great views of the Freedom Tower and we went north, uptown and over the GWB before starting our return to Pittstown. Landing was flawless, came in with plenty of ground speed before smoothly exiting the active and calling it in. Pro. Pictures and words don't do it justice, this was one of the greatest experiences of my life!! Highly recommend stopping in for a quick flight (or lessons, or a license)!

Because of the reviews about the instructors...I went with the further location. Wade Krepps was our pilot and he was absolutely amazing. Off the bat, you can see his passion for flying and was easily sociable. My bf was nervous at first but with Wade's positive feedback and encouragement made the flight an excellent experience. Thank you Wade, you've made this experience a very memorable one. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family! OH! And the owner, Maria...was easily reachable. She gave me her personal number because I was a little worried about the weather last week. Also, we were running 10 minutes late. She was very accommodating about it as well.

Very knowledgeable man, would highly recommend SPECIFICALLY him to all of my friends. On the other hand, the company itself can do a better job finding a match for new students. First instructor that I got couldn't even speak English.... Which I think is very rude, to live in America without having a basic knowledge of the language. Gladly, I was transferred to another instructor named Brian, with whom the communication was very easy and the result - I passed my Road Test without any difficulties. I really hope, the company will have more instructors like Brian, who is a professional and speaks the language of the country he is living in
