What I got was a brutal lesson in corporate eavesdropping and a premature disconnection! I was in the middle of a crucial, high-stakes negotiation... with my friend. I hit the mute button for a brief, highly strategic two seconds to whisper-consult about whether to ask for the 'Premium Package' or the 'Deluxe Super-Sonic Bundle.' You know, the kind of moment that makes or breaks a deal. And what did your "Certified Sounds" representative do? They clearly couldn't handle the pressure of the pregnant pause. They heard the deafening roar of my silence, assumed the call had ceased to be entertaining, and SLAM! I was summarily executed from the conversation. It was the most aggressive, decisive hang-up I have ever experienced. It wasn't a disconnect; it was a digital assassination! Do your call handlers think the internet is powered by thought and if they don't hear a voice, the whole matrix collapses? If your customer service is so paranoid about two seconds of self-reflection that they jettison the call, how can I trust you with something as complex as a car stereo installation? Will my subwoofer quit on me if I pause the music for a snack? Will my home theater system power down if I briefly mute the movie for a bathroom break? Recommendation: Buy a tin can and a string. It offers superior customer service, better sound fidelity, and a much lower chance of being judicially terminated for daring to think about what you want to purchase. I had an issue with my Jeep's Alpine unit powering off and wouldn't power back on. I call Certified Sounds and asked if they would be able to take a look at it. At the shop about 30 minutes later and immediately started working on it to try and figure out the issue. They removed and installed a new modulator (think that's the name) and the unit powered up fine. He replaced it with the original modulator and now the whole system was working as it should. He said for some reason the system had a malfunction but after changing out and then reinstalling the original part the system worked fine. He recommended I keep the original modulator in it and did not try and sell me a new one. He said it was probably just a malfunction and a new one was not necessary. Mahalo to Certified Sounds. I have never been to a business that wouldn't do an install if I was paying for it. Too bad. I just picked up my truck from Derek. I did a sub box and rear view camera install from them about 2 years ago. Fast forward to now, rear view camera became faulty, but my 1 year warranty was up. The stereo in my Nissan Sentra hasn't worked since I started driving it so after two years of no sound or radio I finally caved in and started to look for places that could install a new stereo.
