The leather in my car on my center console lid had been cracking for quite some time and I was stressed about it. My husband located this business and sent me here to get it fixed. I had my daughter with me who I believe was about 1.5 years old at the time, so she was obsessed with walking around and getting in to things. This made it a little challenging for me to discuss everything i needed, but everyone who helped me was super patient with me and very sweet to my daughter as well. I was worried I would have to leave my car here which is my main mom mobile, but they were able to send someone out to pop off the lid safely without damaging anything and keep that to reupholster rather than needing my car for an extended period. It took about a week total. When I went back out, I was so impressed with the quality of work and it looked even better than the original leather did! Their attempt at making good took twice as long as it should have. The long story: JVS botched an alternator replacement, which resulted in my car burning out and stranding me on the 99 freeway. The radiator hose clip had not been replaced after putting the new alternator in, causing fluid to spew throughout the engine, overheating and ultimately burning out the engine. It took two weeks for them to replace a head gasket, and the entire engine replacement took nearly a month. A respectable shop would have offered to cover the cost of a rental car, but these guys just settled for agreeing to cover the bill when we asked (and we went for three weeks without that car before getting the rental!). 4 times out of 5 they gave us a date that the car would be ready and failed to uphold it. I can commend them for taking ownership of their mistake and for fixing it at their cost. It's what's expected, but for a job that failed in so many other ways, this was a silver lining that i could be happy with. The engine is driving fine now, about 4 months later. But now my only hope is in my lucky stars, because their warranty on the engine extended 90 days, which doesn't seem like a lot of confidence for such critical work.

One other accident that happened was my husband had gotten T-bone with the minivan. I wasn't his fault and my insurance company didn't know who to return to. I recommended this place because they had fixed my daughter's car before. Minor fender bender. So I asked them if my insurance could possibly use them and get everything going and everything was perfect. So again if you're looking for a place to take your auto for a quick fast and value repairs this is the place to go to if I could I'd give them 10 stars.

After looking I found nut missing on the passenger side top control arm & bolt almost out to the point to it falling out, loose nut on the other driver side top control arm. Took it back to get fixed. I still had some weird small rattle when going over bumps & alinement was not right. This time they were upset & just kept saying that my truck was custom & I had to deal with this. After going back & forth they put it on the rack to do alinement again. I went under my truck to look at things up close & noticed where the small rattle was coming from, now 2 missing bolts on the rear break line retainer clips. After they finished with the alinement they said this is to icon specs & when I drove off the car drove like shit, pulls to the right bad.

We brought our vehicle to German Dreams Automotive in May 2025 for a turbo replacement. The car was…read morerunning and drivable when my spouse dropped it off. After they completed the initial repair, they told us the car was ready. However, during their own test drive, significant engine damage occurred, and the vehicle became completely inoperable. Instead of taking responsibility for what happened while the car was in their care, the shop downplayed their role and focused on how much time and money they claimed to have invested in the vehicle. We paid them $1,500 to begin service, but the result of their work left us without a working car and facing an even larger repair bill. At no point before the test drive did they warn us of the possibility of engine damage, and their diagnostics prior to beginning the repair failed to flag the very issues they later used to excuse themselves from any responsibility. I do not know if these people are cosplaying as mechanics or what, but their entire operation is a joke. A functioning car became inoperable in the hands of so-called professionals. The salvage car business might suit them better. At least there, destroying cars is part of the process. I strongly advised others to believe the one-star reviews before trusting this place with their car. What happened to us was not just careless, it was unacceptable. This shop has no business working on anyone's vehicle. German Dreams??? More like GERMAN NIGHTMARES!
