I just spent three days in the hospital because the nurse practitioner there did not diagnose me correctly. So I called today to try to have a follow up appointment like I was told to and the secretary that answered the phone told me that even though the hospital tells me to follow up in two weeks it doesn't really matter that my doctor did not have an appointment till July. I tried to explain to her that I was told that I had to have a procedure done before that and she literally did not care. This is the problem with these corporations now they have young girls answering the phone with absolutely no medical training whatsoever and they really do not care about you. You're just a number calling the phone. Do not use them. I'm trying to find somebody else. Worst customer service ever had and I never ever ever have to go to the doctor. I'm very healthy. But this goes to show that they do not care about you and I have two insurances that pay in full and they do not care. She was totally happy when I said I will go somewhere else and literally hung up the phone on me. We are in the process of calling the patient care advocate now with the exact time and date of the phone call.

i went for a procedure with a referral from World Trade Center Health that would cover any and all…read moreof the bills. it was sent beforehand. i went for pre procedure consult and they billed MY OWN INSURACE without telling me. it left a balance and i started getting emails saying i needed to pay or it would go to collection. i had the referral re-sent to them 2 more times. on the day of the procedure they asked for my insurance. i explained again. they searched my file in the computer and they found the referral. i assumed all was well. it was not. 2 months later i am still looking at bills threatening collection. when i called they said i had not supplied the billing address so it was my fault. it was on all 3 copies of the referral. they finally cleared part of the bill and then i got a lab bill. when i called again- they said i had not provided the address. strange because they used it to clear the first part of the bill. i actually had to look it up and give it to the woman because she said i had to supply it- not them. my doctors and nurses were wonderful. i could not ask for better. the rest of the organization is a disaster. i would rather stick pins in my eyes than go back.

Originally just went for birth control but they suggested a pap smear which I've always had bad experiences with, explained that to my intake nurse and she convinced me I should.. agreed and was told to do the usual and come back to my room, undress and wait behind a curtain.. being already uncomfortable with this I'm like uh okay...then wait 15 minutes for a doctor to come in and awkwardly say "you don't have to get undressed for birth control" explain to her why I'm undressed and feel even more uncomfortable .... had a feeling this was going to happen because I could hear the doctor and nurse trying to whisper about what I was being seen for before her entering the room... overall make they know what the visit is for if you're an awkward person like me because it was not a fun experience.
