I tried the jerk chicken, rice, doubles, and polari, and everything was SO good! The food is flavorful, comforting, and you can genuinely taste the love in it. Suzie is the cook, and both she and her husband were so personable and welcoming. We even found out we have some places in common, like Miami Gardens and New York, so we had some shared experiences that made the visit feel even more personal. I really love this place and wish I could go more often, and honestly, I wish they gave a little more food because I be ready to eat! But seriously, I'm very satisfied and will absolutely be back. If you're looking for authentic West Indian flavors on this side of town, give Suzie's Fusion a try! You can tell there's real soul in the food.

You can eat it by itself or soak it piece by piece in a curry gravy. Make sure to add some of your curry chicken or goat in it to complete a delicious bite. We met one of the owners, Gus, who is the architect behind the look, style, and feel of the restaurant. And Suzie is the chef, the mastermind behind the table, who was inspired by her grandmother. You can tell they take pride in their creation after being a food truck service they're now at this store location. They are unique to the area and serving up some delicious dishes. If Caribbean is your flavor, stop by and give them a try.

The food is delicious - I've been 6 times for sure, maybe more. This is one of the places I bring…read morepeople who are visiting Houston or have never had Jamaican food. On this particular visit, I got the jerk shrimp, very spicy but delicious. My dad got the goat curry and he really liked it. The cabbage/vegetables are always seasoned so well. The entire plate is good. The atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in Jamaica. I've met the owner on a few of my visits, seems like a great person who values customer service.

The patties just don't taste the same anymore it was very dry and not freshly made. The filling now tastes more like regular ground beef instead of the flavorful, well-seasoned Caribbean-style beef patty I remember and enjoyed. The price has also increased to $5.50, while the amount of meat inside the patty has noticeably decreased. As you can see from the photos, there is a lot of crust with very little filling. I understand that prices go up, but when the price increases, I expect the quality and portion to at least remain the same or increase. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Although I have loved these patties for years, based on the change in flavor, smaller amount of filling, and higher price, I will not be returning.

Gotta admit the spiciness had my tongue tingling & my nose running but it wasn't overpoweringly spicy. Btw. I didn't request spicy, that's just how it came. Cabbage and rice & peas were tasty, standard accompaniments. My hubby got the curry goat and it too was very tasty but what got my attention was how tender the goat was! To me, the goat seemed just a little less spicy so the chicken spice level may be just how they cooked the batch that day. Upon entering, I thought it was just a takeout place because I didn't see any tables or seating. While waiting on my food, I discovered a whole other large room with seating, full bar & stage! So takeout or dine-in is definitely an option. It's a little bit of a drive for me but I would definitely return.

They have a large space on the other side where you can eat they do not take orders appear like. My order, the chicken was definitely more spicier than another place that I typically eat at. They do give you a side of gravy. The plantains were slightly dry and I wished I had more cabbage. I heard that they have a rum punch that is really good. I would Give them another try maybe trying something else.
