Not sure if I got a bad batch but it was simply okay.... Nothing to jump around and get again. I got the jerk chicken, Mac & cheese, and rice. No seasoning or flavor on any of it other than the sauce. Disappointing...

This food was so good, after eating it I was in a Thanksgiving dinner after trans... I am glad I sat towards the back, babe I ate that chicken with my fingers. The curry chicken reminded me of good chicken dumplings without dumplings and the jerk chicken flavor had a subtle bbq taste. It was uhm uhm uhm satisfying good. The vegetables blended perfectly in the rice. The cabbage was served with thin slices of carrots, all I needed was cornbread to mix in it. My stomach was satisfied and my mouth enjoyed each and every bite. FYI it is pricey, but it is worth it. I had two glasses of Jamaican punch. If you do not know about it, shame on you. You will not be disappointed. Customer service was excellent! Plenty of booths and tables, plus patio dining. A great spot for a date, no matter what day of the week it is. Everything was great!

Let's start with the service! The woman working at the counter did not greet me nor thank me for patronizing her establishment. I told her I was there to pick up my order and she just pointed at the bag. She proceeded to sit down and talk on the phone.CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING ' and for this reason don't think I'll return. However ,The oxtails were good only 3 seed to my plate . The cabbage and brown stew chicken lacked flavor.

I enjoyed the taste of everything. I wish that there was just a little more ox tail. I also enjoyed the way they cooked their cabbage.

Decided to visit Island Tingz because I had a craving for Jamaican food. This was my first visit. I'm so glad this place is relatively close. It's located in a small plaza right on FM 1960. Cute place with plenty of parking. I was torn between my two favorites jerk or brown stew chicken. Thank goodness for the 2 meat combo. The meal did not disappoint! The amount of food I was given is enough to feed me for a few days. I will definitely return!

I have driven by Island Tingz so many times and have told myself to stop by...Last night, I finally did and was not disappointed! While walking up I saw people dancing and heard the music jamming! It was a whole vibe on a Friday night. I ordered at the counter for takeout. It did not take me long to decide what I wanted and order my meal. My food came out quick and was hot! They have great portions for a great price! My food was so delicious. I will be back soon!!

I have not been to this spot since it was a Cajun restaurant. It's now changed hands 2 times since then. I hope this business stays a while though. The interior is all decked out with Jamaican colors and they have a full bar. I didn't see a menu of drinks, but I visited during lunch and there was no customers dining in, except for me. They seem to be mostly takeout, at least during weekday lunch hours. They have a small lunch menu of mostly chicken items, so I took advantage and ordered the jerk chicken. My 2 sides were rice and peas and plantains. The flavor of the jerk chicken was really good and was just a little spicy, but not so much I couldn't eat it or feel uncomfortable. I really enjoyed the chicken since it was very tender. You receive 2 pieces, a leg and a thigh; the thigh was chopped into 3 pieces. The rice and peas are good and pretty standard as a side. The plantains were very delicious, but this is also one of my favorite sides when eating Jamaican or Columbian food. I also added a drink. They don't have a soda fountain, only a cooler near the register with bottled beverages. They were out of my first two choices during my visit, so I went with a pineapple guava drink which was delicious. All of their bottled drinks in the cooler are imported from Jamaica, so you are getting the real deal. Service is friendly. Even while dining in, you will receive your meal in a to-go container. No points for presentation, they are all about the flavor of the food here. Not my average lunch, but I really enjoyed it. Luckily I visited for lunch, I was able to dine for less than $15. Northeast Houston certainly has a void in Jamaican restaurants, so it's a welcome spot for the Humble area.

In town for work and decided to give this place a try based on the positive reviews. I got the 2 meat combo- ox tails and jerk chicken. They actually forgot the jerk chicken but happily gave me a generous portion of it when I pointed it out. I was surprised by how much oxtail I got! Picture doesn't do it justice. Friendly and attentive service and good vibes. Loved the music. Seems like this place is also a hookah bar, if that's your thing.

Authentic Dominican/Caribbean food in Willowbrook. Who knew?…read more I remember this place from a birthday party decades ago. The space was a bit bigger (they've since redesigned it smaller), but the crowds were smaller. Success hasn't tarnished their food. It was a very rainy and soggy afternoons and the place was packed. We managed a table and ordered. Can't go wrong with the delicious shrimp mofongo. I honestly think the sauce is the icing on that cake, made all the more delicious with a squeeze of lemon. Whew! Service was fast and dinner came out at a reasonable pace. The owner is so friendly and stopped by our table to make sure things were good. Better than good! If you're in the Willowbrook area do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner. Prices are a little steep, but what's isn't these days?

I ordered the pollo guisado and moro, both were good and we have a little left over. My partner ordered the pica pollo and the fried chicken was decent. The food does take some time, and servers did not check in too often so I would recommend ordering ahead of time (unless you have a long lunch break), There are plenty of tables, but it is a little dark inside, 2 bathrooms inside. The juice was on the sweet side so just watered it down (wish they have smoothies), but they get 5 stars overall for the flavor and the price point. Plenty of parking as it's in located along other stores.

This was my first time coming to the food truck park and I especially came because of this truck. The staff was so nice I really contemplated about this rating for this review, but when I think about the amount of money paid for my main entree and how I couldn't eat half of it and the spice levels didn't match my expectation, I came to this. A 3.5 would have been more accurate quite honestly but alas, yelp has its system. I ordered the bake and fried fish and the doubles. I asked for spicy on the doubles but they didn't taste too spicy - instead I used the sauce included on my bake n fish (possibly had some scotch bonnet peppers) and it was excellent. The bake and fish came as tacos - I don't think I realized that. It was good, but only two small tacos. The french fries were unfortunately burnt and therefore dry and inedible. I gave up on eating them. We were in a hurry, otherwise, I would have chatted with the staff about possibly getting some new fries. I would give this another try --I'd likely try a few other trucks first or at least have something to accompany my meal in addition to what I order from Krave.
