I've been shopping for a new alarm company for some time. I have an alarm system at my home but its not being monitored by anyone. There have been a lot of homes broken into around my house so I knew that I had to get one soon. My husband works through the night and I'm always home with our young girls. It really sucks knowing that people are getting broken into and I'm home alone with little ones. I wanted to the get the alarm up and working, but I didn't know who to call. A lot of people in my neighborhood are with ADT or Ackerman, but no body had any real good things to say about them. I decided to call a few companies thinking I could do an interview type process and get a few quotes, but that was a nightmare. One company sent out a really scuzzy sales guy that made me confused and uncomfortable. Another one quoted be over a thousand dollars for changing out our old and out dated DSC equipment to a newer Honeywell one and even though our monthly price would stay low at $15/ month we really don't have a thousand dollars to pay for equipment. The other company I talked to wanted us to sign a 5 year agreement which is just way to long. I actually came across Crime Fighters of Atlanta from an AD they had placed on Craigslist. I use Craigslist for everything and thought why not and they had a really great promotion going on for December offering not only the equipment for free, but two months of monitoring. Their AD talks about their BBB rating as being A+ so I verified that and they don't have any complaints. Then I did a Google search on them and a lot of information pops up about the company and their yelp page was right on top so I checked them out on Yelp and they seemed really legit. It also said they are a supplier for Monitorinics monitoring who checks out to be a great company. When I called them around Christmas they were very polite and even willing to come out the same day which was on December 26th. I really didn't expect to get fast service like that over the holiday. They sent out Mark to my house who was pretty easy to work with. We talked about my old system and we decided to use the promotion for the free system and get a new Honeywell installed. We have a phone line at our house for faxes so we were able to save money on our monitoring and pay $24.99 per month to be monitored through the telephone line. Mark let us know that in the future if we ever wanted to get rid of the phone line they would be happy to come out and add a cell device at no extra labor charges, but we would pay for the equipment and our rate would go up slightly. He said that once we got rid of the line we would actually be paying less monthly than what it cost to have a phone line and an alarm system and it's supposed to be a little safer, but for us the $24.99 a month rate is perfect. I'm glad I found Crime Fighters of Atlanta on craigslist and did my research. They're a great local company. read more

My equipment with ADT has not been working for a while. When I called them up to get assistance to fix the faulty battery and window contact I would told it would be over $100 for them to send a technician out to my home to fix the problem and then probably more the equipment. I've been paying them $45 a month to monitor my home through a cell device for 3 years now which is way too much so I started shopping around. I got Crime Fighters number from my neighborhood who had a system of theirs installed a few months ago. She said they were very professional and honest and really knew what they were talking about. When I called I first spoke to Nate. He was very easy to talk to on the phone and helped walk me through the problems my alarm was having and helped me take it off line so that the system would stop beeping at me until a technician could come out and help. I set up an appointment for one of his guys to come out and help me for the next day. The tech arrived on time, was very professional and after reviewing my equipment told me he would fix it at no cost if I signed a new contract with them and he would lower my monthly rate to $32.99 and still monitor me with the no landline option. I didn't want to sign a new contract after being in one with ADT. I spoke with Nate on the phone and he said they could do a no contract deal, but I would have to pay for my equipment fixes and the tech time and my rate would be slightly higher. I liked having the extra option but decided to go the cheap route and go with the contract. Its been a week now and so far so good. Crime fighters installed a new contact, gave me a new key chain remote thing and replaced my battery for me. They were running a special too so I didn't have to pay for installation just my first month of monitoring. I think we are going to me very happy with them. They even gave my wife an extra yard sign when she called them the next day saying one just wasn't enough. they sent the same tech out to drop it off,. I would definitely recommend them. My only complaint would be that the rates still a little high. I don't know why alarm companies charge so much for cellular monitoring, but as lone as they are doing there job and the alarm is working good then it's ok. Better than ADT prices. read more

I'm really happy with the alarm system I just had installed yesterday by Crime Fighters of Atlanta. I rent a condo in the Buckhead area and my landlord refused to help me get a security alarm installed. There has been some break ins this month and two cars got vandalized so it was really important to me to get a system installed. I called around to several companies, but everyone wants you to be a homeowne which just isn't fair. I found Crime Fighters websiste online and they said they could help even though I rented. I ened up buying my alarm equipment from them for $400 because I can't sign a cotnract and receve a free system but I'm so happy they were willing to work with me. Chris was may sales guy. He said that I own the system outright and that I don't have to sign a contract because I purchased it. He said when I do buy a home which I plan on doing in the next couple of months they will move the system for me at no cost. My monitoring is $34.99 through the cellular thing and I can see it and arm it from my cell phone. I'm glad I found Crime Fighters online and that they are so easy to work with. Chris was a great sales rep too. He really know his product and was able to explain to me how the 2-GIG sysetm and cell phone application work. I know that Im not just a number with them and I've already referred them to my sister and best friend. It's really not fair that renters get left out of security. Buying the equipment is pricey, but they take credit cards so that made it easy. read more

We had just bought a new home and needed wiring and a system. We have 6 outside doors to the house and a walkout basement so we were concerned with safety. Also a concern is aging parents and kids coming and going at all hours. Shana took the call and answered all of my MANY questions very professionally. We then wrote back and forth on email with additional questions, yes, if asked lots of questions. I feel everyone should when it comes to the safety of their family and home. That said, I did my homework questioning 3 other companies as well. Crime Fighters may not have the big name, you know who I am talking about! but they know their business. Nate came for the initial walk though to determine our needs and give his recommendations. After that he was also the one to do the install. I have to say, with owning several homes and having many a worker in the home, I was most impressed. Nate was on time, professional, handled all my questions happily and did the install without tearing up my walls. I would go with this company again in a heartbeat. I felt very safe alone in the house with my kids while Nate did the install- not an easy thing these days, also, when he completed the install, Nate walked me through all the features of my system and set it up flawlessly. We have had the system now for a couple of months and I have to say I am also very happy with the monitoring service. We have had one false alarm and they called ASAP. I called CFA Security & Low Voltage to run CAT6 (total 4 locations with 4 CAT6 ports) and speaker wire for our Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More of Dunwoody store. Owners Nate & Shana were very quick to turn around a reasonable quote, and get us on their schedule for installation within a week. I was pleased with how fast they were able to turn the order around. The morning of installation, Nate arrived with the cable technician and we walked through where the drops would be and the termination point. After Nate worked with the tech to confirm everything, the tech just dove in with a singular focus. I really appreciate a person that just works steady and gets a job done. The tech was unobtrusive, polite, and worked diligently and quietly the entire day. Also, he didn't leave a mess. The tech verified with me that all of the ports were up and running as well as clearly labeled at both ends. Nate returned the next day to check on everything and make sure I was a happy customer. When we connected all of the devices, the wiring worked correctly the first time. Great work! read more

I needed a trust worthy company to install security systems at my vacation home in Smyrna. I called several companies to come out and give us a quote. I decided to go with crime fighters because I really liked the sales guy. Chris seemed honest and intelligent. He made me feel very comfortable. I really liked the added features that I could have too with crime fighters. I was able to add security cameras to my alarm system and now I can see what is going on at my house in Smyrna even when I'm in Orlando. I wish that crime fighters had a company out in Orlando. I would use them for my house here too. My only complaint is that the cameras they installed sometimes don't focus great when the weather is bad, but he installer informed me that was the quality of wireless cameras and did offer to upgrade to a more commercial brand systems, but that would cost more. For the price I paid for the installation and the monthly service I'm really happy. read more

They helped me out in a pinch. It's hard to find companies that will do the low voltage and/or ethernet work for you when the big guys (AT&T, Comcast) "don't do that anymore." My house, 20 years ago, was wired for telephones. I needed to switch out to Cat5/6 and for one room only. Talk about specialized! I love the new security cameras we had installed at our warehouse. Its great to be able to watch my staff from my I-Pad from home and know that the place is safe. Do not do any business with this company Nate installed my camera system and the equipment was used my DVR went in a year and the cameras keep going cost me 900 I had an alarm system as well I cancelled last 2 weeks and today they still charge my credit card do Not do any business with this company I will report them to the proper authorities!!! read more
