I'm glad to say my search is over. Celeste is an incredible stylist and has helped me play with my style across the gender spectrum, both with long hair and short. We've also had some fun with color, which is a specialty of hers. She's super fun to talk to (without being pushy) and is very conscious of pronouns, which I appreciate. She has a private suite (one client at a time) which is great for those sensitive to noise in louder salons. I'm kind of hesitant to write this review because I don't want want the rest of Riverside to discover Celeste and CG Hair Design but that wouldn't be very nice, would it? Quick bit of background. The kiddo's previous stylist hung up the scissors and went into the baking business. Yes, really. So the hunt was on for someone new. Now, I'm super picky when it comes to who cuts the kiddo's hair so I researched for a couple of days before deciding on CG Hair Design. After one session I can say with confidence, it was the right choice. Located in the Sola Salon in between Roadhouse Grill and Burlington Coat Factory, CG Hair Design is in its own suite. Celeste was super welcoming and you get the good vibes from the minute you meet her. I vaguely gave her the basics of what I wanted but I let the kiddo have her own input. Celeste listened to how the kiddo wanted her hair and in the end she was really happy with her hair. Celeste also gave me advice on products to use on her hair to make it more manageable. I didn't get a sales pitch or attempted to get upsold, just good solid advice. So yeah, I've found the kiddo a place that will give her what she wants with a stylist she really likes. I went to a really expensive salon that totally destroyed my hair and I was honestly feeling really hopeless but Celeste is literally my hero! She made my hair the absolute best it's ever looked, it was totally painless and very she was very time effective AND the price was truly unbeatable. This salon is absolutely incredible. For context, my hair is very long and super fine. The only thing I'd ever had done to it was box dye it red a few times. Then in June I decided to go all out and get my hair dyed Crazy rainbow colors are the different salon. This other salon butchered my hair, chemically damaged it and didn't do what I had asked at all. Celeste managed to not only help make my hair feel a lot softer despite all the chemical damage, but also was able to give me gorgeous vibrant rainbow colors like I had originally wanted. Cg is awesome. This girl is not only a blast to hang out with but a true professional. My hair has never been this healthy without doing expensive Brazilian blowouts. I like that she trys really hard not to overlap.
