I really enjoy coming to this smoke shop every time. The two girls that are always working there are kind and helpful. I usually go in with my mom to pick up hookah goodies but one day I decided to check out the big cigar room. Knowing nothing as I'm walking around, the cashier came in and started asking me questions and helped me pick out a few cigars she thought would fit my taste. You may be paying a few bucks extra for their good location but seriously this is the best smoke shop I've been to that didn't have shady workers or a poorly maintained stock. do not buy a vape from here. i wanted to start vaping and didn't know anything there is to know about vaping and i asked cierra if there was any attachments i could add to my current vape. i brought a simple rick and morty vape from the 420 smoke shop off palomar st, due to the fact that i don't vape that much. cierra informed me that all their other batteries were out of stock because i was open to buying a vape for under $45. she informed me that all that was available was a disposable nunu cartridge. skeptical i told her i wasn't sure it would fit my rick and morty pen. so she convinced me to go back to my car and get it. i showed her the pen we tried to see if it fits. it attached but uninformed about vaping, i clicked the button and it kept blinking. assuming my vape pen was dying because it was a monday and i had used it all weekend on another cartridge i brought. i brought that and some vaping juice and left the store. as, i entered my car i added the vaping juice to the cartridge and tried the pen again, it was still blinking. so i decided to charge it for 30mins and again the vape pen kept blinking. i called the shop and explained my dilemma and cierra answered "what do you want me to do" almost like she refused to take responsibility for her mishap. upset i told her "i should be refunded for your mistake, i trusted you to sell me a product that works it doesn't and now i have a product i cannot use". cierra offered no solutions. so i called around to another smoke shop i typically go to and when i sent a picture of the product on the vape pen he sold me, he immediately stated why did she sell you that? even i know, that cartridge doesn't go on that kind of battery and he informed me that she should know more about her products before suggesting them to others and he informed me that i'm entitled to a refund because of her error. so I went back on wednesday oct 28th, two days later and spoke with her coworker. I let him know how upset i was and he just told me I couldn't get a refund and if i were to get a refund. She would have to personally speak with and reason with the owner to do so. He told me she'd be in on friday. again, i called on friday and cierra just refused to take responsibility for her mistake and i was informed that her owner wouldn't refund me for the mistake either ! if you do not know your products please do your research or you will get basically scammed here!!!! its insane that basic customer satisfaction does not exist at this business, they have no lemon laws for cars so same should apply at small businesses. if you suggest/sell a product that does not work with someone's device, you take responsibility for that mistake and refund that customer. I shouldn't be dealing with this back and forth mess when cierra made this mistake in the first place! I feel absolutely betrayed by this company and thats not a good feeling to have as a customer, due to the fact that cierra lacks integrity and cannot take responsibility for her mistake in suggesting an item! update: cierra was very aware of my upset and she handled the situation very professionally and informed her boss of the situation and the boss called me and decided to issue me a refund. my only advice would be: next time this happens as an employee and the face of this business. do your best to practice creating effective solutions for the customer. we all make mistakes yes, but its how you handle those mistakes that lands you in the hot seat. luckily, I was very firm in my stance that i should get a refund but, what if someone wasn't as firm as me and had to keep a product they couldn't use. That just makes the company look bad and in the end, this company needs the consumers business so our opinion and feelings should matter always. read more

As a cigar afficinado this store caters to all my immediate cigar needs. The multitude of different selections are a welcome to someone like me who likes to try different flavors and types of cigars. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to trying different flavors that I haven't had before. The price is very reasonable when compared to other cigar stores around ie Cuban Cigar Factory. Yes, you can go online but why wait for cigars you would like to smoke now? Also they have a ton of accessories to accommodate the afficinado such as lighters, punches, humidors and much more. After trying other stores this place fits nicely into my description as a complete cigar store. I highly recommend it. read more

I purchased $160 worth of Vape product about a month ago: new device, e-juice, and spare coils. When I went to replace the coil for the first time, I discovered they mistakenly sold me the wrong coils. I went back to exchange them and the clerk gave me nothing but grief because I no longer had the receipt. I had to look up my credit card receipt before she finally agreed to exchange the coils, but not after she gave me further grief pointing to their "no refunds" sign. I will never give them another dime of my businesses and advise anyone reading this to take their business elsewhere. read more

If you live anywhere east of the 805 and are looking for a tobacco shop, CH Cigars & more is the place to go! This place has everything you need including: a room of cigars, loose-leaf tobacco, cigs, hookahs, hookah coals, shisha, a ton of e-juice and vape cigs for all of you vapors, and pretty much all tobacco brands. If you are into vaping, they have a lot of brands and flavors of the e-juice and they have the eGo-C vape cig and a lot of other ones. The only downside is this place is a bit pricy, but because of their close location I can't complain. I think this is a great place for a tobacco shop because this is the only shop east of the 805. If you're in the area or are just looking a good place for your tobacco/hookah/vape needs come check it out. read more

For my husband's birthday I decided to check this place out as my hubby likes a good cigar every now and then. I know absolutely nothing about cigars. They were very helpful, they asked me lots ofquestions like what time of day does he smoke, how long does it take to smoke a cigar, if I knew the sizes of his cigar, what he enjoyed with his cigar,(ex: fresh air, in the house, with coffee with a adult beverage,etc) once they collected they info they were able to narrow down the types of cigars my husband might enjoy. Just purchased a new piece from here a few days ago. It was a BEAUTIFUL piece. But, as I filled this with water paint started to drip off, and that was followed by a TON of peeling. I stopped by CH Cigars and more and I ran into a great friend of mine who I had no idea was a cigar smoker. He introduced me to Erin who is a very knowledgeable lady when it comes to cigars, lighters and cutters. Erin was very nice and answered all my dumb questions with a smile. She spent time in their very nice humidor and broke down all the types of cigars they had on stock. Erin helped me pick out a few cigars and even gave me some cedar planks to put in my humidor. I'm actually in between 2 and 3 stars, but leaning more toward the 2 because Yelp classifies 2-stars as "I've experienced better" and 3 as A-OK...truth is that I have, in fact, experienced better. For me, the best part about this place is that it's one of the only, if not the only, cigar shop in the area (well, 3N1 Sports Bar in Shops at San Miguel is closer and better, IMO). The cigar selection at CH is decent but the prices are ridiculous. I was seeing anywhere from $2 to $20 difference between CH and others on some cigars...$20?!?! you ask?...Yup, I saw Opus X for $49 (one box, stuck up on the highest shelf in a corner) when I've seen them at other shops in San Diego for around $30 (yes, same size cigar). I understand that California rapes tobacconists with taxes and whatnot, but this place seems happy to pass that on to the customer. I did see a couple of sticks that I'd been curious about but not wanting to blind-buy a box online, I was glad to be able to try a single...but the prices were easily $2-$4 more here per stick than other places I've been to in Kearny Mesa or Old Town (Excalibur, Liberty, Churchill). About a year ago, I came in and got an Oliva Serie V Melanio...I had tried it before at another shop and loved it. I came into CH and found it for $14...I was o.k. with that because I liked it that much and it was a recent Cigar of the Year in Cigar Aficionado...I returned a month or two later for the exact same cigar and it was now $18! Again, I understand the whole CA tax thing, but come on. read more

If you are looking for cigarettes this shop has a good selection and prices. If you are looking for anything else (cigars, hookah, e-cigarette) there is much left to be desired. Staff lacks general knowledge of these products are unhelpful with their suggestions. Prices are terribly marked up even compared to other cigar shops. Along with the prices, there is no seating area and smoking is not allowed on-site. Tip: if you do decide to purchase a cigar here, allow at least a week of rest in your humidor as this shop keeps their humidity extremely high. read more
