I go there and I get a special coffee with lavender in it. I ordered the grilled cheese and the aloo burger . The diameter of the burger is half the size of a fork so you can imagine how small it is, but theyre still charging $8. Also the spicy grilled cheese was very small. It's like a small snack u have while you're driving, just to satiate you until you get home to actually have a meal. Better off having a pack of nuts in your car... I honestly thought I had reviewed this place when they first opened up but apparently not! This is a great spot in Scarborough to get your chai on! It's Indian street food with some jazz. It's so pretty inside, plenty of seating to catch up with your friends or just have a quiet moment to yourself as you grab a bite to eat. I always get the Juhu Blaster Lemonade as it's so refreshing and light. Their nasal chai is also quiet nice. Loved this charming place! A nondescript cafe tucked away in a plaza, but the interior is wonderful - warm, bright, and cozy, perfect for an afternoon hanging out or working. The tables consisted of a large rectangular one in the middle and several smaller tables at the sides, spaciously situated with an appropriate distance between them. Even when the cafe got busy with customers, the ambience still remained relatively quiet - you could have decent conversations without having to raise your voice at all times. The menu contains both food and drinks. I had the masala chai, and it was great! The regular size is on the smaller side, but the flavours were excellent. I already have my eye on their specialty drinks as well as the beautiful array of pastries in the display for my next visit. Service was welcoming and friendly. Washrooms were clean - although, we did have to wipe down our tables ourselves as the staff did not. I went to India 10 years ago and fell in love with their masala chai. Since then, I have never really found anything here that tasted like that. Today that changed. I randomly found this place while waiting for a dinner reservation. I tried their Chachi's Karak Chai and Masala Chai and they were very similar. I was having an evening out with my parents, and we stumbled upon this pocket of Scarborough that I didn't know existed. So many good options! After looking around for a few mins, we decided to have some chai + snacks. Chachi's seemed to be quite spacious inside, and popular, so we made our pick. I'll be honest, it was a little chaotic. It was busier than any other indoor space I had been in at the time, given COVID restrictions. Although everyone was masked, there was little to no social distancing. No vaccine passport checks, and no one was wiping down the tables in between. And no one was at the door managing capacity. It was a cold night, so everyone was walking inside and cramming to form a line. In my opinion, poor COVID protocols. We waited about 15 mins to order, and couldn't actually read the menu until we got very close to the counter. And there were no paper copies we could grab. The overhead menu was a little hard to read with the smaller print, and numerous options. Just focusing on the chai... I honestly had trouble understanding some of the differences. We ordered 3 different chais, and two of them tasted identical. The only differing one was the Kashmiri. They were fine. We also shared a chaat, which was pretty good. There's definitely potential, but it was a bit overwhelming. I would recommend only dining in when they are not too busy. It really isn't a relaxing experience where there's so much movement around you. I'd love to come back at a quieter time and check out a few more items, but for now... a 3 star seems fair to me. read more

The Chachi's Chai: I normally don't take sugar but this chai tastes so good with 1 sugar. The specialty is the addition of mint in the tea. I have never had mint in my chai, but I must say it tastes very well. Samosa chaat: this was a decent portion for a meal. It had a full samosa with chickpeas, yogurt and chutneys. I've had fruity drinks (bombay juhu, mango shake), chai (Chachi's/Karak), desserts (pistachio cheesecake/chocolate cake) and streetfood (dahi pur/gol gappa). Overall I felt like the street food was good but the portion was really small and desserts were average. My chocolate cake was a bit dry, fruit drinks were refreshing. Note: they don't have decaf coffee. Overall this place is so clean, staff are really friendly and willing to explain the menu, my absolute favorite thing is the CHACHI's CHAI. So authentic and flavorful with mint and cardamom, after I pay it's ready within 1-2 minutes. Samosa Chaat was delicious and sev. The samosa itself was fresh and the sauces were flavourful. It felt like street food you could find in India! Big words, I know but trust me on this! Next, we had the Chicken Masala Sub which came with fries and a dip. The portion size was massive and if you're not super hungry, you can totally share this while getting a side like the Samosa Chaat. This sub was saucy and the chicken was great in taste. There were no fatty bites as it sometimes happens. Fries were good too but not super crisp. I don't mind as I had ordered this through Uber Eats and I'm sure during the travel, they lost some crispness. We finished off the meal with Falooda. It was delicious! Had all of the components and it was a perfect end to a good meal. Yay! I finally have something nearby that I can get snacks/smaller meals from. Their menu is on the smaller size but I prefer that! I always do my reviews based on three things. Food or drinks, service and price bonus points for healthy and safety. Ordered two items chai and milk shake. Chai was amazing 10 out of 10. Shake was very disappointed was hopping for better in 7 bucks. It was all flavour not real mango. Price is reasonable for some items. Size are good as well. First time here and we ordered for pickup because they had a wing special on UberEats. When the order said it was ready for pickup, I entered the restaurant but they were not ready yet. However the lady behind the counter was nice and we chatted a bit and she offered me their chai to sample. I do not like chai so it was a miss for me. In hindsight, I was really taken off guard because the sample came in a small cup that I had to drink on the spot and remove my face mask to do so, which felt really weird, plus I burned my tongue because it was extremely hot. I also noticed a table of about 3-4 people who were chatting and dining in when dining in was prohibited...unsure if they were the owners or family, but they were definitely not wearing their masks inside, which left me feeling unsafe. Walked in clearly states the place is opening at 11am, so the employee tells me we open at 2 and I said ok I'll walk out but while I walking out he had to say we still have 15minutes rudely .... like wth he could've been nice and to check out the menu and just walk back in at 2 like idk why when I'm trying to support a local business y'all have to be rude.
