People either don't like pain doctors because they don't get immediate relief or they can't get the drugs they think they want or need. I was on large doses of Methadone and Norco for almost 20 years. Dr. Suderman has me down to 3 Norco and injections. Using x-rays to set the needles makes a huge difference, it's repeatable and lessened injection site pain. I currently have deep lumbar injections a couple times a year and 16 trigger point thoracic and lumbar injections 4 times a year (without sedation). They have made a big difference. Educate yourself before you go in, show him exactly where you hurt and work until you find a solution. All the office staff, nurses, OR staff and Heather my PA have been great. I've never had to call to make sure my script is signed. Hang in there and be positive, it's a long, hard road!

This review is mostly for my new doctor Courtney Millward, DO. I saw her for the first time…read morerecently at this location and I was really impressed with her compassion and care. So often it can feel like you're rushed at a doctor's office, but Dr. Millward answered all my questions and never made me feel like I had to hurry. She was easy to talk to and I felt totally comfortable asking questions and learning from her. The whole visit was great as well; I was able to complete all the intake paperwork online ahead of my visit which was really convenient for me. The staff checking me in and out were very kind and pleasant. Masks are required and they provide medical grade masks for everyone as well as taking your temperature as you enter the building. I think it's so important to have a doctor that you trust and can relate to, so I'm so happy to have found that at this location with Dr. Millward.

I have had over 50 years of experience with Drs. and in more recent years with specialists. When I…read morewas a kid my Dr. was a DO. I have been to many Drs. since then but my older brother stayed with him driving a couple hours each way to see that Dr. until he retired well into his 80s. He was a kind, gentle, caring man that listened to his patience. Dr. Byington has a similar manner. He isn't Dr. House or some other know-it-all Dr. but he listens and cares and has referred me to a number of specialists who focus on the specific issues. When I wasn't satisfied with the care of a specialist, he found me another who was more proactive. This has happened on a couple occasions. I once had a Dr. who also did clinical research. After going to him for a few years he came in to see me for an appointment and said, "So, are you a new patient?" telling me he didn't have a clue about me and he hadn't looked at the chart to see that he had seen me for a few years. That was my last appointment with that Dr. I have been with Dr. Byington for a decade or two (I really don't know how long) and I appreciate him for listening, kindness, and putting up with me for all these years. As with anything, you are the expert on your own body and need to do your best to take care of it but having a Dr. who will actually take the time to listen, refer you to the experts/specialists when necessary, and advocate on your behalf is also a part of good care. I have seen too many medical care professionals that really didn't seem to care for the person. Dr. Byington cares and I like that,

She took my info and said she would have scheduling reach out to me to make an appointment. Normally doctor offices will give you a time frame on how long it will take for someone to get back with you but she would give me no time frame at all. I asked her if it would be a day or a week and she said another office recently closed their doors without notice and they were currently trying to reschedule "thousands" of patients. I asked her if I should be looking for another eye doctor and she repeated that someone would reach out to me and then abruptly hung up in my ear. The rudeness and unprofessionalism of this office is OFF THE CHARTS!

I wish I had been able to continue addressing my health problems with Dr. Hegstrand, but we relocated across the country. I haven't been able to find ANYONE like her out here in the West. The only thing they seem to know how to do out here with thyroids is drug 'em up, rip 'em out, then drug you up for the rest of your life. This woman supported me - from across the country - with the thyroid hormone that I needed to maintain a pregnancy. To her I give all credit for the beautiful, loving, sunshine of a child who just lights up our lives.
