But you cannot call down to request your car. You must come down and physically wait for it. Which not sure if this hotel understands what "Valet" is but thats not it. On Sunday during check out hours there were minimum 10 people and families waiting for their cars while 1 person was on staff. the valet guys were beyond nice and apologetic, not their fault. When I asked the man at the front desk if I could just go get my car myself from the parking lot he yelled at me and told me I needed to "Wait my turn and quit being rude". Our room was damp and moist. In fact the corner of the rooms carpet near the AC was soaking wet. We called down to ask about it and the response was "yes we are aware but cannot do anything about it". Last but not least the power at the hotel went out for hours. How does a hotel on the beach of this size not have generators. No other hotels in Asbury lost power. We spent almost $1100 per night on this hotel. NOT WORTH IT! There are much better options in Asbury Park. Never again.

We were initially placed in a beautiful beachfront room on the 8th floor with stunning ocean views. On the second day, I was approached rudely by hotel staff, who accused me of failing to disclose that I had my dog with me. They pressured me to leave my family behind and immediately move to a lower-floor room with no beachfront view, claiming it was the hotel's mistake because the fourth floor was supposedly the only floor where dogs are permitted. I insisted on getting my family, who were at the pool, before moving. While doing so, we spoke with three other guests traveling with pets who told us they were staying on the 5th, 6th, and 8th floors. This directly contradicted the explanation we were given, as we were the ones being removed from the 8th floor. The entire experience felt deceptive, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Instead of taking responsibility for their error, the hotel attempted to downgrade our accommodations based on an explanation that appeared to be untrue. I would have given zero stars if that were an option because of these shady and misleading practices.

I was excited about the trendy aesthetic, but this place is filthy. I am not a dog owner, but *am* a dog lover and my "fresh" pillowcases and bedding had animal hair embedded in them. The rug was badly stained- entire room felt so dirty, like a public restroom. Thanks for the slippers- but this is a shoes ON kinda place. I had such a bad reaction to our room I slept the last 3 nights wearing a mask. Being in the room made my eyes red and burn, shortness of breath/wheezing- symptoms would lessen as soon as I got fresh air. Eww. Just allergic to all the dander and filth. Developed & left with the worst sinus infection I've ever had. And with all my cleanliness concerns, we were googling legionnaires symptoms. Not being dramatic- it was really bothersome and worrying to feel so awful IN a hotel room. We were out of our room daily by 10:30 am (do not disturb sign NOT up) and we didn't get our room remade 2 of the days. I had to call down for clean towels once we returned from the beach. BUT! We did arrange (& agree to additional charge) for late checkout and KNOCK KNOCK (do not disturb UP!!) housekeeping at our door on checkout day as we are packing- ready to flip our room! Annoying. Additionally, the pool was disgusting. The adults never went in but it's hard to keep kids out. You couldn't see the bottom it was so cloudy- We were worried about them dunking their faces under. Especially after watching a late night adults only pool party following a sweaty group tournament in the park. Gross. The pool was cleaned once during our stay, with a robot vacuum. BEFORE that party. That water needed TREATMENT. Stick to the ocean. Valet is only parking option and you wait an insane amount of time for the attendant- when you can see your car parked right out front. Please give us our keys! At that point you're not providing a service. We are going to be late for our reservations and you're wasting our vacation time. At $50/night for that, you're just taking advantage in a seemingly not very busy part of town. There is no access to ice, so to fill your water bottles etc, you need to ask the cafe in lobby. During busy coffee mornings, the barista was not thrilled to be dealing with this and we were not thrilled to wait over a half hour for a cup of ice. Understaffed- needs more than one overwhelmed person. We had SO SO much fun enjoying the beach & boardwalk. Really wish this hotel was a dream and we "found our new place" but absolutely wouldn't stay here again. We would have left after 1st night, if we didn't need to be here for the family thing. We were shocked how well reviewed it is. There are so many options along the shore. **wait! I just remembered- one morning there was a siren/alarm going off for nearly 15 minutes and the manager came over the loudspeaker in our room (yup, that's right- intercom loudspeaker) and said repeatedly that there was no emergency. Extremely loud, for a really long time. Mmmmkay.
