Always polite always clean air conditioner works awesome half a block from the beach and everything else now they have a functioning kitchen, which is extra and worth it. We highly recommend the place. We have always gotten parking very very close to the front door never a problem.

What a gem of a place! The bed was super comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Charming hotel and we loved our stay. Can't wait to comeback!

Part of lobby/lounge area at Majestic Hotel

Stayed here for a couple of nights with my husband and I had not been here since all the renovations so I was pleasantly surprised. They have really updated and made such great use of the lobby/lounge area. The complimentary continental breakfast was perfect for a light breakfast with fresh cut and whole fruit, hard boiled eggs, granolas, yogurts, bagels, coffees, etc. Each staff member I came across was professional and so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. We stayed in one of the contemporary rooms and the bed was so comfortable, had a small balcony area and a mini fridge as well even though cold/hot water was readily available in the lobby 24/7. We had plans for dinners both nights but we were lucky enough to be able to try out their dining room located behind the lobby/lounge area. Jill, our server, was so nice and everything was made to order. My husband had the crab cake eggs Benedict and he cleaned off his plate which is a huge compliment because it is one of his favorite breakfast dishes but only when done right. I had the eggs and beet hash which had nice large chunks of roasted veggies and 2 eggs which I requested sunny side up. Next time, I do hope to try their lunch and dinner menu because their menu looked delicious. They do take reservations. We were up early Saturday and were able to walk-in without a reservations thankfully. So glad we didn't go down the street for breakfast because Dining at Majestic exceeded our expectations. Our whole time at Majestic hotel was fabulous and, although, I have been a patron since 2021, I cannot say enough good things about all the classy vintage updates they have made so far while still keeping the antique, beachside vibes. We will definitely be back sooner than later and thank you for a terrific stay.

I booked the Majestic to host my wedding party the weekend of my wedding. We ended up renting every room and the staff (especially Cathy), were absolutely amazing. They let us use the common spaces when needed, which was huge! The rooms are all unique and beautiful. There are so many different areas within the hotel for stunning photo ops. My favorite was the balcony directly outside the room my now-husband and I booked. It connected to another room and spanned almost the entire front of the hotel with a view of the ocean only 2 blocks away. We took a lot of our wedding photos here because of how beautiful and perfect it was. As I mentioned, Cathy was an absolute angel. She went above and beyond every single second. She was constantly on her feet helping us in some way - acting like another member of the bridal party, making sure we weren't hungry, thirsty, or needed anything else, without being overbearing at all. Even right before checkout, she offered to make me gluten free avocado toast because I told her that was my favorite breakfast. She was on top of it. She was also so attentive and communicative leading up to the day, including before we even booked the rooms! She let us tour before we committed, then followed up quickly with any questions before and after booking. She really blew my mind and she was just the cherry on top because everything else about the Majestic is so worth it.

Spent a long weekend at the Majestic. Our room on the 2nd floor was great, and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was scaled down due to Covid, but everything was fresh and we were happy to have a small meal to start the day. Coffee was very good too. Ocean Grove is a beautiful little town and well worth a visit.

My boyfriend planned an extended Birthday weekend for me at the Majestic from Thursday to Sunday. Upon check-in, we were very warmly greeted by Dawn.  She immediately made us feel welcome and at home.  She is so knowledgeable of the area, full of information & tips,  a true foodie like us.  We learned that every morning a complimentary breakfast was included which was a lovely touch, as nothing comes free these days.  The porch is magnificent with rocking chairs, country music and a killer view of the ocean.  Additionally there are balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floor which also provide incredible views of the Sunset (another tip from Dawn & Patti) The hotel is conveniently a 2 minute walk from the beach and an 8 minute walk from Asbury Park Boardwalk. It's clean and its quiet.  Beach towels are offered in addition to discounted beach passes. Also, kudos to the rest of the staff ;  Josh. Patti and Emily, I've never encountered a more hospitable staff. Can't wait to book our next trip !!

We were booked into The Majestic through Travel Rewards. We simply asked for something close to Asbury Park. We'd spent a few days in Manhattan, and were looking for somewhere quiet to decompress after the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. The Majestic was a great choice, but there are a few improvements that can be made. Reserved parking for guests would be nice. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday, and the nearest parking spot we found was nearly a mile away. We opted to do a little shopping to allow time for the beach-going crowd to dissipate. By the time we returned, there was ample parking. The room was, for the most part, clean. The bathroom wasn't "dirty" but it could have used a cleaning. Perhaps a new shower liner, and a more thorough cleaning of the tile in the bathtub. The Majestic is very close to the beach, literally a stone's throw. In the morning, my fiancé and I enjoyed an evening stroll along the boardwalk, then ventured up to Asbury Park after a good night's rest. The difference between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning was like night and day, and it offered a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the sights along the boardwalk. Continental breakfast was as good as expected, although the apples were a little mushy, with the least mushy of them being somewhat badly bruised. As for the staff, we only dealt with Bob, who answered when we asked about parking when we first arrived, then greeted us at the front desk. He was quite helpful, even offering to assist with the heavier of our bags, which was appreciated. Bob was quite friendly, and knowledgeable of the area, helping advise us about the beach and surrounding area.

But my god, it is splinter hell. Us, along with 3 other families that we knew of, were realizing at the pool that us and our kid's feet were completely full of splinters. We spent a total of about 3 hours at the pool over 2 days and my four year old had over 50 splinters in each foot! I had about 10 and spouse a few less. My four year old will not even let me look at his foot, nevertheless remove the splinters - yeah right. I think we are going to need to get sedated. This has ruined the stay to be honest. The hotel also didn't have tweezers. At least two families complained and nothing seemed to be done about it. The deck is extremely dry. This wouldn't be a hard problem to solve. ICE. I requested ice about 20 different ways, because there is no ice machine so they say just request it: - through the app on their tablet (3x, nothing) - through calling the front desk (2x, nothing) - in person at the front desk (2x, nothing) - through text to the front desk (4x, nothing) - in person to the person that came to the room one night (2x, 1x worked!) I got ice once, woohoooooo! The tablet is a joke. I needed an extra bedsheet and requested it through the tablet and it never came. In person at the front desk it did, however. Beautiful hotel, but the splinters ruined it. You could not pay ME to stay somewhere that my autistic kid gets 100 splinters in his feet. The hotel is feeling a bit neglected in some ways. Our "terrace" had algae on the deck area, one couch cushion had a big brown spot and there was half of a DEAD BIRD on our terrace. It was there the whole time. Of course my 4 year old was enthralled.Yay.

But you cannot call down to request your car. You must come down and physically wait for it. Which not sure if this hotel understands what "Valet" is but thats not it. On Sunday during check out hours there were minimum 10 people and families waiting for their cars while 1 person was on staff. the valet guys were beyond nice and apologetic, not their fault. When I asked the man at the front desk if I could just go get my car myself from the parking lot he yelled at me and told me I needed to "Wait my turn and quit being rude". Our room was damp and moist. In fact the corner of the rooms carpet near the AC was soaking wet. We called down to ask about it and the response was "yes we are aware but cannot do anything about it". Last but not least the power at the hotel went out for hours. How does a hotel on the beach of this size not have generators. No other hotels in Asbury lost power. We spent almost $1100 per night on this hotel. NOT WORTH IT! It is billed as a B&B, so we sampled the options one of the mornings during our stay. Coffee and water, mandarins, and store bought coffee cakes were out, and the proprietor, who was super kind during the stay, made some scrambled eggs, which were really delicious. He had some bread and cinnamon raisin bread out, too, which we toasted. The room was decently sized and fairly clean, though there were some ants. One oddity is the bathroom situation. Our room had a private bathroom, which was a deal breaker for us. You can request that when you book. Most rooms share bathrooms - there are a few in the halls. The walls are pretty thin, and there was a definite clomper present during our visit, so we heard them a-clompin' from time to time. Overall, though, it didn't detract for us. The third floor has a nice little lounge and TV room if you need to stay indoors awhile, plus there are porches out front and on the second floor. Extra bonus points for the single best selling point about this place - the location. They are a five minute walk from Ocean Grove's Main Street with its nice coffeeshops, bakeries, delis, shops, etc; less than five minutes walking gets you to the beach; and about 5-10 minutes across the bridge gets you to Asbury's main dining/night life area.
