Before then, I had never injured myself physically and was experiencing - what I soon came to recognize - a high level of anxiety previously unknown to me. As someone who always felt extremely strong, both physically and mentally, I felt like a stranger in my own body. Dr. Niv (Zack) was my primary therapist and (while I wish I had never injured myself or had to learn what anxiety was) I consider it a major blessing that of all the PT's in the world, I somehow happened to find him. He is an expert, serious professional, and all around fantastic human being. I have never felt more safe, taken care, understood, or truly heard by a health care professional ever in my life. The care I received was always personalized and thoughtful. I always felt like he wanted to hear what was on my mind/concerns/etc. His understanding of the body and mind is incredible. My treatment always felt like an extremely educated and human approach. Something I (and everyone else) desperately needed. I could go on! While I am essentially recovered, I wish I could visit this practice every week. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. I went to podiatrist Dr. Christine Ellie and she diagnosed me with a heel bone fracture using only an ultrasound; no x-ray was ever taken. She told me, "I don't need to do an x-ray because we can see the fracture clearly in the ultrasound." Based on that + my lack of serious pain at the time of the appointment, I was put in a boot for 3 weeks and started physical therapy. The day before my follow-up appt 3 weeks later, the office called to say Dr. Ellie was no longer available and I'd need to reschedule. After trying to reschedule for a few minutes on the call, I expressed frustration about delaying the appointment because I was hoping to get my boot off. Hearing this, the attendant immediately reversed course: "Oh, it's to get your boot off? In that case, we can keep the same appointment." Draw your own conclusions, but that exchange made it clear the "unavailability" wasn't the real reason for the reschedule. At the follow-up, Dr. Ellie again used only an ultrasound. This time she told me there were "minor fractures" and that I needed 8 additional weeks in the boot, with physical therapy discontinued. That's a significant jump from the original prognosis, and it moved in the wrong direction after I'd done everything asked of me. Between the lack of an x-ray, the misleading reschedule, and the ballooning recovery timeline, I sought a second opinion. That podiatrist was surprised an x-ray had never been done, since it's standard for diagnosing fractures. To my surprise, after doing the x-ray with that second podiatrist, the screening showed no fracture at all, just a severe ankle sprain. Dr. Christine Ellie performed no x-ray. I received a dishonest explanation for a rescheduled appointmen, and a fracture diagnosis that turned out to be wrong. If you're looking for a podiatrist with your best interest in mind, I'd strongly encourage anyone considering this office to seek care elsewhere.

I spent two months waiting to see this Rokito, only for the doctor himself to grant me a paltry 10 minutes--and not even provide a diagnosis, essentially stating just one thing: "I cannot, and will not, help you." Recently, I had a lot of pain behind my knee. I hadn't fallen nor did I bump my knee. After three days, I could not walk without a crutch. I was in pain so bad, I was crying. Dr. Rokito said I had water on my knee, a by-product of the arthritis I had in my knees, which I never felt and never knew about. He did an aspiration of almost a tube full of water, gave me a cortisone shot, and I was able to walk without help that evening. Also, why would he allow me to be in a separate room with them alone and not at one of the tables in the common area that would allow him or other staff members to directly supervise if this was the case? She was aggressive and harsh in tone and language. -Suggesting a personal trainer would better meet my needs was scoffed at by my doctor and was never considered by him at any point in my recovery even prior to starting at Integrative. -I never stated I was considering legal action against my prior clinics. I had stated I had looked into taking legal action against a former one years ago unrelated to my current injury due to the treatment received causing my injury to worsen requiring surgery. I left my prior provider because the price nearly tripled at the start of the new year. This was all communicated to Frank. -It is a lie we had a back and forth after my last session. He responded to my initial email asking for a call and refused to respond to my initial follow up email asking to explain what was making Mackenzie uncomfortable treating me. There was no offer made over email to have a face to face conversation nor a call with him to discuss the matter, nor did I refuse a call between him and my doctor. -Not sure what is harassing about sending one follow up email on what exactly is making the physical therapist uncomfortable to treat me when that is such a bold statement. -Having one foot out the door came straight from one of his physical therapists who stated he is looking to get out of the business now that his family lives in South Carolina. Someone who commutes that far to work part time doesn't sound like someone who is there to stay long term. -Not sure why it would matter if Oliver was my real name or not. It has no impact on the situation. Just the owner grasping for straws to try and reclaim any credibility.
