Located on Cornwall and Yew is the best Chai Tea I've had! Shivam was super friend as well, and greets you with a big smile and positive energy. It's right across from Kits beach so you can grab one to go and enjoy the incredible view while sipping it Definitely recommend.

Stopped by for a cuppa on a crisp fall day. Lovely, spicy, perfectly sweet but not too sweet chai. Your "chai latte" could never.

    Review Highlights - Chai Wagon

I'm a chai fanatic and I've tried quite a few in Vancouver - Chai Wagon's ginger chai is the best chai I've ever tasted anywhere.

The Rotato is fun to eat and l recommend getting the sour cream and onion flavor. It's served hot and fresh and it has the perfect crispy texture. The mango sticky rice is really good and the mangoes they use are fresh and sweet. The ramen donut is heavy because the outer part is thick and crunchy like it was double fried and the filling is ramen and cheese. I wanted to try it bc I never had a ramen donut before. It's worth trying it once and getting that photo op in, but probably won't get it again. The market also has games and entertainment along with some shopping that you can do (jewelry, clothing, artwork, etc).

Richmond Night Market has been around for 26 years now. It is a good concept to bring the night…read moremarket atmosphere commonly found in Asia to Vancouver. It is more than just food stalls and vendors selling jewelry, stickers, socks, cell phone accessories etc. There are bouncy castle, inflatable balls to run around in, zip line, fair games like the PNE etc. What I find ridiculous but common here in North America is having to pay an admission fee just so you can go spend more money on food and shopping. In other parts of the world where night market or Christmas market is a common thing, you just go stroll through the streets where vendors and shops are for free. Buy food and things when they catch your eye. So it's $7 general admission now, $5 after 10 pm for late night. Seniors (60+) and children (under 7) are free. There are some stalls offering happy hours items for the entire night ($10 under food and $7 under drinks). Otherwise food is around $15 on average. The food stalls are still mostly Asian fare. Many bbq skewers and I saw many getting the squids. I tried a frozen banana dessert which was cut up frozen banana dipped in chocolate and drizzled with pistachio sauce and that's the Dubai inspired dessert. Not that great. The cheese coin was decent with plenty of cheese. The inari bomb was pretty tasty. Many stalls are cash only. So bring cash, lots of cash. There is a 3% charge for admission ticket if paying by card. I'll say budget for minimum $100 each if you want to fully enjoy the experience of buying food from a few stalls, play a couple of games and buy things. Parking is free and well organized. There is also a lot of soccer related theme this year because of the World Cup where a few games will be held in Vancouver. I can see this place being popular for young kids, teenagers and young adults as something to do with friends. As I still travel to Asia at least once a year, I can totally skip this. If you're expecting it to be like the night markets like in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia etc, this is not it.

First things first, this doesn't have the oomph and character coolness of Japadog that locals and visitors have grown to love. No long line ups here, no uniformed Japanese speaking staff, no photos of hotdogs with different toppings, and yes, no photo of Ice Cube too. There was only a friendly smile from the owner and one unique item offering which was the tandoori dog, choice of either kosher beef or kosher chicken. For $5.50, it was just plain and ordinary with only a hint of tandoori flavour basted on the hotdog. Despite the onions being nicely cooked in butter, bread rightly toasted, it was just boilerplate okay. It lacked creativity, texture and presentation, the wow factor. I was expecting toppings as chutney, yogurt, maybe paneer, or some curry infused side condiments, but there was only mustard, ketchup, and bbq sauce, typical for the dirty water dog varieties, not a stand named as Tandoori Tikka Dog. Sigh. Didn't mean to be the bearer of bad news here, but I'm giving it 2.5 stars and hoping they could improve as there's still lots of room left for more ethnic fusion street foods here in Vancouver. Meanwhile, I don't think it deserves a visit from Anthony Bourdain as of yet.

The uncle who runs the cart was the absolute sweetest. He spent an extra long time fixing up my husband's tandoori tikka veggie dog, especially because tofudogs are especially tasteless. The result was a flavorful and creative hot dog, which we all loved! Highly recommend!
