Brand new location in Olympic Village replacing the old Blendz location. The store looks just like the ones in Hawaii and my Soy Latte was excellent! I'd love to try their other coffee and treats next time!

Guava croissant, matcha breakfast cookie, and regular drip coffee

One of my favorite coffeeshops in the area! Very clean and refreshing vibes. Great coffee, tasty baked goods, and great service--what more can you ask for?? We got the guava croissant which was pretty big. It has a creamy fresh guava filling inside. I also got the matcha breakfast cookie which was hearty with a good balance of matcha and sweetness. I love this location because there's a lot of natural light streaming in!

Taro Bread & White Blossom (spring 2023 seasonal drink)

I love the other two Honolulu Coffees in Vancouver and just visited this one for the first time. This location is smaller than the other two but has the same beachy aesthetic and relaxed atmosphere, and basically the same menu. I got the Taro Bread and the White Blossom (spring 2023 seasonal drink) here. I loved the natural flavour and texture from the real taro in the bread, and because it wasn't super sweetened, it was a great breakfast pastry. The White Blossom, which is a elderflower-flavoured oat milk tea latte with guihua flower garnish was also very good! The elderflower flavour was subtle but I liked how it gave the drink a floral undertone without overshadowing the tea. Based on all the food and drink I've tried at the other locations, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but I'm always a fan of the seasonal drinks and the Guava Bread.

A new location of Honolulu Coffee that has opened in the Olympic Village area. A cute cafe with a small to medium amount of seating. I decided to get the Hawaiian Latte and thought it was unique although by the end of it, I thought it was a bit too sweet. Would want to come back to try some of their classics.

    Guava cream puff

Stumbled across this hidden jam as I was waiting for another restaurant to open. I only tried their cream puff and it was really good. Usually, I would avoid pastries like these because they're either too sweet or filling but this one has a perfect balance and cool presentation.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this Honolulu coffee brand cafe in W Van. A Nice selection of merchandise too.

    Review Highlights - Honolulu Coffee

We got the Rainbow bowl, guava cream puff, banana bread, and I asked for a Hawaiian Latte (but slightly less sweet).

We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.

Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.

I was in need of a snack and this was a short walk from our hotel. 49th Parallel is well known for their thoughtfully sourced, house-roasted coffees and their cult-favorite donuts, but they also offer a small menu of sandwiches if you're looking for something more filling. It wasn't too busy when we got there, though most of the tables were taken. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory: the chestnut brûlée donut, a salted caramel old fashioned, and a couple of breakfast sandwiches--the Doug and the Cascadia--both served on soft, buttery brioche buns. My other half also grabbed an Americano to go with it all. The chestnut brûlée donut was my fav of the bunch. The chestnut flavor was perfectly balanced--nice and light. The sandwiches were also good, especially thanks to that pillowy soft brioche. Overall, 49th Parallel was the perfect stop for a small, simple snack! Would recommend.
