Sundays in Texas are nearly impossible for finding anywhere open, let alone a good stylist with appointments available! I found Monica on Yelp and saw that she was open. I was hesitant because she didn't have many reviews, but the reviews she did have were all five stars so I decided to give her a try. When I arrived, hiding my hair under a hat, I was desperate for a complete overhaul. She worked her magic with a blonde foil and pixie cut, and I couldn't have been happier with the result. I have continued to use her since and I intend on keeping her as long as I am living in San Antonio. I was so impressed by her that I sent my boyfriend to her to get his hair done. He has really thick, curly hair, and has not had an easy time finding anyone who can cut and style his hair the way that he likes. When the haircut started, I asked for shoulder-length hair. Instead, my hair was cut well above my shoulders, much shorter than I wanted. When it came time to pay, she asked me what the agreed price was. I reminded her that she had promised to honor the Groupon price. She then said the $22 booking fee I had already paid through Booksy would be included in the total. It wasn't. That $22 charge is still on my credit card, on top of what I paid her for the haircut. Overall, I left with a haircut that was not what I asked for and extra charges I wasn't expecting. The whole situation felt misleading and unprofessional.

With Chibbi, there's always a light atmosphere and a feeling I'm in good hands. He's very light-handed -- he takes skin care very seriously, so you don't have to worry about him dragging his brushes along and causing you pain. He's also a great teacher. If you have any questions about technique or products he's using on you, he can answer confidently in detail. He's a very open person -- just tell him what you want (or bring reference pictures!) and he'll hook you up. I highly recommend his services, especially for theatrical makeup!
