Not only did Shannon and Michele give excellent customer service, the guys in the warehouse loaded my vehicle so carefully and made sure every linen and all the glassware was secure. When I returned the items the next day, again, great customer service and the guys stepped up and unloaded everything with such care. Our city even left our city glassware in the crates by mistake and Chairs for Affairs washed them and let us know when they were ready at NO CHARGE! We didn't opt for delivery service, but they do provide this option. I encourage anyone to use Chairs for Affairs for your event. Their new showroom is beautiful and set up with many table options. We threw a large family gathering last weekend in our backyard. Had the tables but needed chairs. Now my mom n law always rents chairs from here for our big holidays, so without a thought I called and reserved the chairs. Amazing service. I enlisted Chairs for Affairs about a week before my wedding in May, as I was becoming increasingly distrustful of my wedding coordinator and her team of friends and family. I decided to fire them from as much of the wedding as I could, once they suggested asking my guests to get up mid-ceremony so they could start picking up the chairs early to be able to comply with the timeline they had already agreed to months before. Unacceptable. Luckily, I found Chairs for Affairs on yelp. Not only were they cheaper, but they came, did their work, set up 320 chairs and a stage, and got them the heck out of there on time even though my ceremony ran half an hour too long! (Thanks again to my useless coordinator.) Well, we didn't have 320 chairs, but that's because my useless coordinator told them not to set up all the chairs I paid for. Chairs for Affairs gave me a wonderful surprise for my wedding! They were on my venue's list of recommended rental companies. I, of course, researched every company on the list and felt that Chairs of Affairs were the most affordable, in addition to having a lot of good reviews. Lesa Smith was my point of contact, and she was very quick and responsive via phone and email. I originally ordered 100 natural wood chairs (I come from a superstitious Taiwanese family, so I tried to avoid white and black as much as possible), an arch, and a couple tents. As the big day grew closer, I realized I needed more chairs, so I ordered 50 more, which was initially approved without a hitch. Lesa called me about a day or two later and said that they actually weren't going to have 50 more natural wood chairs. She then offered me 150 CHIAVARI chairs at NO ADDITIONAL COST! I picked the gold ones, and they added a wonderful touch of grace and class at our wedding! Awesome. I rented chairs, umbrellas and a canopy for them for my wedding last weekend. I had originally been looking for rental places that were closer to Berkeley, but none of them came close to the price and service that I got at Chairs for Affairs. Most places charge you for setting up and take down, but they INCLUDE it in the price! I had so much trouble believing it I asked three separate times to confirm. The prices and deal they offered seemed so good to be true that I went to their showroom on my day off to place my order in person and confirm. They were $300 to $500 cheaper than the quotes I got from other rental companies. Ronnie who handled my order and subsequent changes was extremely nice and made it all a breeze. The coordinator I hired for my wedding could not have been more impressed at their timeliness and professionalism. They reminded me a lot of the infomercial where you "set it and forget it." You set your order, then you don't have to worry about it because they'll take care of the rest! Chairs for Affairs seems too good be true, but it is true! This was my first time dealing with a party rental place and it was a great one! I was planning my Brother's wedding and this place was the least inexpensive. Not only just the chairs but delievery out to Brentwood. Terry and Stephanie did a great job at updating the invoice every time I needed to add or change anything. They also were so kind to give us 2 days of rental and only charged us 1 day. The delivery guys showed up earlier than the time given and were super nice! They set up everything and made sure to go over everything we rented was there. Set up and break down definitely saved us a lot of time. I, too, planned my own wedding reception and found Chairs for Affairs to be the best rental service around. Their prices are very competitive and the help they offer is outstanding. They also have most of the stuff you would want and have good photos of items. Also want to mention their service is excellent! The true test of service is not when everything goes well -- the test happens when there is a challenge or problem. In my case, my sister realized part of the delivery had not arrived. She called, got immediate help and the person who made sure the rest of the stuff arrived did so personally. (Even missing a daughter's last game to do that.) I looked at a few different options for rentals for my wedding, but ultimately settled on CFA. My brother-in-law and his wife had used them for their wedding the summer before and were very happy with there service. The only reason I didn't just go for them in the first place was because I wanted a basic, inexpensive archway that wasn't white. Ultimately I settled for the white archway, but the overall experience made up for it. I had to make adjustments to my order several times and they were always responsive to my questions and requests. I can't personally speak to the delivery, setup, and pickup service, but my on-site coordinator had no problems with them and deemed them worthy of the tip money I'd provided, so that's good enough for. I hope I never have to plan an event that requires this type of equipment again, but if I do I will use Chairs For Affairs! read more

Chairs for Affairs was our one-stop shop for our backyard wedding in Brentwood (yes, they deliver to Brentwood) We ordered: wedding arch folding wood chairs tables chiavari chairs linens chargers plates wine and water glasses silverware dessert trays beverage dispensers beverage tubs patio heaters pitchers coffee maker I must have changed the order 10 times in the last week. Each change was immediately handled by Nikki who was quick to respond to all my emails. Everything was delivered at noon on Friday, the guys set up the ceremony chairs for our outside ceremony, getting all the spacing correct for us. The reception tables and chairs were also set up, dishes were wrapped in plastic in crates so fine to stay out overnight, linens were on hangers with dry cleaning plastic so were easily stored hanging on a rack. During the reception we only had to scrape the plates and stack - no washing to worry about. Pick up was right on time at 11am on Sunday - the guys were very friendly and quick and did the take down for all tables and chairs. We splurged with the double set of chairs - highly recommend getting double chairs for a backyard wedding, it is worth the cost to add folding chairs for the ceremony and not have empty tables and then chairs to move. It was a relief to be able to rent things like beverage tubs and coffee maker! Will definitely use Chairs for Affairs for all of our special occasions! read more

I changed our order several times (indecisive bride) and they always responded with an updated quote and got back to me right away. Initially, I was very excited about using Bill's Chairs for Affairs, as they were recommended by my venue, Hacienda de las Flores. They seemed to offer the best selection at an affordable price and they were in proximity to the venue. In addition, my first encounter with Terri, the owner, was positive, as she gave me a bag as a gift and threw in two Chivari chairs for the sweet heart table. For my wedding on September 3, 2011, I rented pitchers, a cake stand, serving utensils, plates, flatware, tables, linens, chairs, high chairs, and booster seats. We reviewed the order several times to ensure that everything was correct. However, there were a few things that disappointed me. On the day of my wedding, there was no sweetheart table, so my husband and I sat at a large round table. In addition, the plates were silver instead of gold. Finally, there were several glasses missing from the order. I was most disappointed with the color of the plates as they did not match and I'd spent so much time reviewing each detail with them. In terms of customer service, I found Terri and Nikki to be very nice at first. However, as the date grew closer and I discovered errors with my order, I felt that Terri did not want to be bothered and passed me off to Nikki. Both Nikki and Terri were not as responsive as I would have liked, especially when issues arose. The biggest frustration was dealing with their inventory/pricing system. It was troubling when I was quoted one price and then several days later told that it was significantly more on account of an error that Nikki made in inputting the information. When asked to honor the previously quoted price, they refused. When renting equipment for an event as important as one's wedding, you want to go with a company that will demonstrate professionalism, efficiency, and organization throughout. Moreover, you want them to get it right every time or be accountable for their mistakes. I'm not sure that Bill's Chairs for Affairs would be my first choice. read more
