I recently hosted a wedding celebration for 65 guests for my son. I have used other event rental places in the past, and this was my first experience with Chairs for Affairs - and it was a great one! The first positive thing was the immediate response I got from Ash to my inquiry. While she answered many of my questions via email, she welcomed a telephone call which was very helpful. I made an appointment with her at the showroom and she and her co-worker were incredibly helpful both in what I needed and color selections. As my needs and guest numbers changed several times, my invoice was quickly updated. The chairs, linens, plates and flatware that I ordered were lovely. And the forced heating for the enclosed tent where dinner was held, was very effective! And despite my noise concerns, the heating could not be heard. The delivery folks were also great. This review is extremely delayed, but I am so grateful for how Chairs For Affairs came through during a tough time! My baby shower was unfortunately canceled back in 2021 when I was unexpectedly hospitalized, and the CFA team graciously issued a credit for the rentals we'd booked for the shower. Fast forward three years, and they honored the credit for my son's third birthday far after the credit had expired! It allowed us to have a lovely gathering with all our friends and family at much lower cost; the pop-ups, tables, and chairs were perfect, delivery and pickup process was seamless, and the team was kind. I so appreciate Ash and the team accommodating my needs and timing while planning a surprise party that required very specific pick up and drop off timing. We had such a positive experience working with Chairs for Affairs for our Berkeley wedding linens, and we would highly recommend using them for your rentals. Affordable and easy to work with. I made so many revisions to to my original quote and Kendra was very responsive in making those edits. You have the choice to either have pick up/delivery and even have them set up for you if needed. Michelle was the one that helped me with payment and got back to me quickly after confirming a drop off date. I originally started the quote 1-2 weeks before needed. I confirmed/paid 2-3 days prior to the event and was lucky enough that they were able to still deliver. I rented: 3 - 6' rounds tables 2 - 8' long rectangle tables 30 plastic chairs 2 - large trash jobs The tables were made of wood and were pretty heavy duty. They were not in the best condition as they were pretty scratched up, but I wasn't surprised. Make sure you have some kind cover for the tables. They were all very easy to set up. The chairs came on a dolly and the trash bins came with bags. They do not take the trash with them upon pick up up. The people delivering communicated to me that they'd be coming by for drop off about 30 minutes out and ensured they'd be back the next business day for pick up. Jesus and another gentlemen did the pick up. Jesus called early pick-up morning to confirm they'd be by to pick up between 12-1. I really appreciate how well they communicated the drop off/pick up time and they worked well together that they were able to get everything off the truck/packed up pretty quick. If you need rental items for your party/event, I'd highly recommend going with them. I have zero complaints. read more

We went to their showroom in September to order our needed supplies for Thanksgiving. We were having 20 people over and I wanted everything that I needed to be delivered to our home in El Cerrito. I believe Jessica helped us. She showed us a variety of chairs, plates, silverware, napkins, and glassware. She was very efficient and we were able to see the cost right then. Later I decided to add to 9 ft. tables; this was no problem. Everything was delivered the day before and picked up 2 days later.
