They have lots of kids books easily accessible and categorized. They have an adorable puppet area with hand puppets. There is a table with bins filled with things to do like magnatiles and train tracks. Great place to bring the kids on a rainy day or if you are looking for a fun place indoors.

What really sets this library apart though is that if you are parent with small children who have…read moreany interest in the performing arts, you will look this library's program of Tunes and Tales and Story Time at the John Denver Outdoor Theater. In my opinion, Allison is a world-class children's librarian in that she knows how to really engage her audience on a first name basis--I suspect she could have majored in child development or the dramatic arts by the way she performs stories aloud. I recommend bringing your toddler to this program even if I had to put a mask on my child and fly across the country to see it. It was a such blessing to listen to Heather et al accompany Allison's oration with a violin and viola pair--what a dream team. What I personally like most about this library are the periodical selections on the subtopics of investing and aviation. I enjoy watching AARP members researching investments on nearby tables as if their lives depended on the effort. I also like the DVD and CD selection in the basement. If I had believed my brother or knew the town was this amazing, I think I would have visited sooner!

We took the afternoon off grabbed a picnic lunch from Clark's market in Snowmass and drove towards Aspen. Ashcroft is about 10 miles south but it takes a little longer because it's a windy road. The concierge at our hotel said there wasn't much up there, but we were so impressed with the buildings that have remained and been restored. It was so tranquil and quiet. There's a big parking lot and nicely marked trails and signs it makes a perfect afternoon outing for a family. Here's a link to the video we made. She quickly pulled up with her lights flashing and helped block and divert traffic until our van was safely towed away. She even kindly gave me a ride back to my place of work (because my work van broke down) and had fun, professional conversation while en route, which was about 4 miles away. I prefer to pay it, but I will not drive around this town anymore. I would assume that businesses are in favor of having visitors as they help to increase revenue. Received a phone call from someone who said they were at the "local office". Thick accent. I had…read moretrouble understanding him. He would not listen to me and allow me to explain that I had uploaded everything they needed. He talked over me. RUDE and he actually hung up on me!!!! Would not let me explain that I had uploaded ALL of the necessary documents online via their SSA Site. He should be fired. You suck it up and NEVER hang up on someone when you called them in the first place! Horrific customer service. Our taxes pay his salary. Perhaps he should be remided of that. Don't allow someone who does not speak English well work in Customer service. Especially a Man that is rude to women. Might be OK in whatever country he came from, but NOT in our country!!!

To many issues to list them all but the latest is that my change of address obviously isn't working and i am not receiving my mail at my new address. It is impossible to reach anyone in this office. I've tried e mail and phone calls. I have 2 packages that were delivered there and I don't know how to retrieve them.

I've lived here for over a year now, and I don't even bother with packages for the usps, only ups…read moreor fedex. They can't even deliver regular mail without screwing it up. I'll get checks 2 weeks late. For example, I have one check and bank statement that should have been delivered Monday of last week, but they still haven't arrived. This is a pretty great place - it is in between Denver and Colorado Springs. It keeps building up…read moresome but a lot of the office places that are rented cannot stay. I wish those office spaces would be rented out before other buildings are built. The community is pretty, about 35 sub-HOAs and they are working on a new website for the community - http://www.cpnhoa.com. There is no soliciting - you have to apply for a permit. The parking structure is a it chaotic. You sometimes have to go down farther so you can turn back into the community. All in all, it is a small community with friendly people and you don't get that "nosy neighborhood" feeling you sometimes get with smaller communities.
