My wife bought us a Paint and Sip session for my birthday. The studio is spacious with plentiful natural light. David was a superb and patient instructor. He let us select our images beforehand and had them roughly pencil sketched on the canvases and ready to go when we arrived. This was no simple "paint by numbers" type class. He taught us how to mix our colors and the brush techniques we needed to get the best results for the pictures we had chosen. He even coached us on some alternative/more advanced techniques to create interesting effects to match our source images, such as adding texture/physical depth, and drips/spatters. At no point did we feel rushed and he let us stay until we finished. A really fantastic experience and we hope to do it again! David was the best teacher. Everyone loved their pet paintings. I have several paintings displayed that I have done since high-school. My painting of my lab is my favorite. The quality of the materials and the teaching are incomparable. All painting parties are fun. David takes his passion and skills and keeps creating fun. Specialties

Amazing natural light provides a perfect space for creating art. Artist David Steinman well versed in many mediums provides more than just painting classes. Private lessons are for you to take your vision into a reality. A Studio where you paint your image on canvas. I can sketch your image on the canvas for you. The goal is to assist people with learning about materials and design in a fun laid back atmosphere. Smaller classes provide better attention to you the artist. I take the time to get you to reach your creative goal. Let's make some art together and have fun doing it. Afterwards, you'll be chalking about Stein to all your friends.

History

Established in 1989.

In college my major was "independent painting" I guess I spent a lot of money to learn how to paint by myself! Not anymore, I found a job as a painting instructor at a major chain of paint and sip. I loved it, watching and helping people be creative is so gratifying for me. The pandemic ended that and I was so upset that I had found the job I love and it was over. Missing the people and the job I had to get that back in my life, l was determined. Things fell into place and I am back doing what a love. That major gave me freedom to work in more mediums than just paint, drawing, faux finishing, sculpture, print making, ceramics, photography, logos and graphic design. Throughout the years my murals and paintings have been displayed throughout Syracuse. I don't want to sound like I have a big ego so let's just say I make art I teach art and I love doing it. Paint & Sip with David! You will not regret it! Our team visited David for a corporate team building event & had a fantastic time! David put everyone at ease, and made it so much fun to try a new activity together (we're not artists, but our work looks great!). David was absolutely amazing! I went in there with no clue of what I wanted to do or make and ended up having so much fun! We played with a lot of different things and created a very fun and cool piece! I'm not done with it yet. There's so much texture to it and the pictures dont do it any justice!
