This particular Home2 Suites has quickly become our fav place to stay when in the area. They are dog friendly, the suites are typically extremely clean and well kept, and the staff on any day, no matter the time, have always been friendly and helpful. There is a small indoor pool which we have used a few times. It is heated but not overly. The pool area is always extremely clean. They also have outdoor seating, a fire pit, and a grill for guests use. The beds tend to be comfortable- not marshmallow soft and not concrete hard. Just right! They supply a large selection of pillows, the bedding and towels are always clean and in good order. The free breakfast always includes something each of us can/want to eat. During this particular stay someone took the complementary disposable laundry bag, put trash in it, and popped it into a kitchen drawer with the suite's mugs. They also left behind a used plastic razor. Ugh. I'm not sure how the cleaning crew missed this. I called the front desk. The staff member was extremely apologetic and kind. She offered us free snacks as a service recovery. We never did collect our free snack but the gesture was appreciated. In the future I prefer points be applied to my Hilton Honors account. Snacks aren't always the answer to service recovery.

After a long day of driving, we decided we wanted to see Saratoga Springs and Lake George. That said, I pulled out my Hilton app and booked two nights. Upon arrival, you can tell the property is very well maintained. Grounds were clean and orderly, no trash strewn about. Luggage carts readily available at the entrance. We checked in fairly late in the evening. As mentioned in other reviews, the night staff ladies need some work on customer service, attitude, and ability. As a Diamond, I frequently request upgrades if available. I asked on check-in and it was a bad idea. That led to a good 20-minutes of the young night staff ladies trying to decipher their system and their inventory. Additionally, despite my status and experience with the brand they argued with me about upgrades. They could tell I was not happy as my welcome bag had two glass bottles of Saratoga water, which was appreciated. Those are normally $4 a pop in the market downstairs. A bit of work on attitude, hospitality, and retraining with the system would go a long way. We finally received our keys after the 25-minute ordeal. Unfortunately, the high floor requested on the initial reservation+on my Diamond profile was not honored. Despite that, we proceeded and got settled. The room was fresh, clean, and absolutely spotless. The TV had my name and status displayed upon entry to the guest room, which was a nice gesture. The TV was also one of the newer models with the ability to use Netflix. The kitchen was fully equipped with plates, bowls, glassware, cutlery, pans, tools, toaster, microwave, and a fridge/freezer. When it comes to brand standards, they excel in every area here. Fully stocked and functional. Additionally, the property has a gorgeous fire pit and BBQ grill area with Genesis Weber Grills. We ended up picking up some meats to grill and enjoyed our dinner at the fire pit. The common areas are all kept meticulous. The grilles and fire pit is always covered when not in use. You can tell they take pride in their hotel and property. I see why many nights they are sold out. The morning crew is also incredible. While we did go out for breakfast, they do have the entire Home2Suites breakfast lineup. We asked the GM about a place for lunch/things to do in Saratoga Springs. She recommended us to check out Dock Brown's for lunch and Saratoga Spa State Park. We had a great time and both recommendations were top notch. The morning of checkout she asked us how our time was. Truly going above and beyond. We did encounter a legitimate fire alarm activation during our stay. The hotel handled it flawlessly. The night GM (awesome guy) risked his life going floor to floor, room to room with radio in hand. Being disabled myself, it was greatly appreciated. To the couple who berated him on the way back in, shame on yourselves. He risked his life for his guests. If I'm in the area again, this is my first-pick for accommodations. Wonderful staff and beautifully maintained property! If they could improve the night-staff aspect, it would be five stars from me.

BED BUGS and poor customer service!…read more We checked in and saw bed bugs and stains on the sheets. We immediately informed Danielle at the front desk and showed her pictures of the bed bugs. She was unable to get us another room in the hotel but was helpful is getting us a room at a nearby hotel. She also said the hotel would refund our money. Now Aiden, the Asst Manager, says he will NOT refund our money and was very rude on the phone. Poor service and BED BUGS is a horrible way to run a hotel!

Sir, would you like a warm cookie? How about a bottled water? This interaction was the highlight of my long trip. Once inside the room, I had a large, modern bed along with a big bathroom. The shower has nice bath products and the hot water was readily available at 7am. I check out of my room and there was a hot breakfast waiting for me. Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Saratoga Malta, I had a nice overnight stay. The hotel and room were very clean. Again, kudos to the front desk!

They even had free cookies! The room was modern and clean. The set up left little space to walk between one side of the bed and a piece of furniture in order to get to the bathroom. Unfortunately, even though I recognized that it would be a challenge to navigate, I still bashed my shin on the way back to bed from the bathroom in the morning. Also, the bed was not as comfortable one would hope and I woke with many aches and pains. The good news is they had a great pool and hot tub! We used them both at night and in the morning. Very few people were using them and we often had them to ourselves. That helped with both body aches and relaxation! In the morning the breakfast was excellent. They offered a wide variety of food and the attendant was making sure things were filled and tables cleaned. Overall a good experience. I would stay here again.

1 star is generous…read more After a long day of traveling, I reached for a towel after my shower (which did not include soap as the body gel was completely out) to reach for a towel -- imagine my shock when it was ALREADY USED. Visibly dirty and with hair on it! Went down to the front desk to ask for new towels -- no apology; and then I had to wait for staff to get new ones and take them up myself. There is an incessant clicking in the wall that comes and goes apparently without reason or cause. The bathroom vent did not work but did manage to have what appeared to be a decades' worth of lint in it. The pullout sofa bed could double as a torture device. Housekeeping did not clean our room but did take the fresh towels I had procured for my family -- and did not replace them with new ones. Breakfast was a joke. Coffee was out both mornings, they couldn't even keep the water stocked (...it's water!! How hard could it be?!), food regularly running out. Whenever we sought out staff to ask for something, nobody was to be found. And forget about calling the front desk -- the phone was out. Never again, La Quinta. Never.

I am a working photographer with a deadline for pictures so I called the front desk and was told by whoever answered she was new and they were booked so she couldn't offer help or a room switch. The internet wouldn't connect (got an IP address but never got a login page popup in my browser) either via the Wifi and again she had no answers for me other than come down to the lobby. I spent 90 minutes debugging the problem with chatGPT and ultimately got the phone number from there to call Hilton tech support and they whitelisted my IP address meaning they put no restrictions on it to login etc it just started working. There were only enough linens for one person and there was no bath mat in the bathroom. The power plugs by the bed didn't work, and I have a CPAP machine so I had to pull the bed away from the wall and unplug the wall lights to plug it in there. I plugged my iphone into the USB-C plug by the bed and in the morning my phone was dead so that didn't work either. I parked in a handicap spot (I have a placard) and between me on the end and the next car was an access aisle which is hatched with diagonal lines. Some over privileged yahoo decided to wedge his car in between illegally on top of the access aisle. I ultimately had to call the town police to get them come down to the hotel to make the patron move their car because it was so close to my door I couldn't open it. I called the front desk before checking out and again no manager was available. I called again an hour later and still no manager. I wrote an email to the address on my invoice and it took 48 hours to get a response that they were offering me 10000 honors points for my trouble. I found that unacceptable and called and spoke to Ms. Carrie Friello who was rude to me said that's all they were offering back was the points said have a nice day and then hung up on me. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

He provides his guests with bikes, as well as umbrellas when it's raining. -- He thinks of everything. Further, Joe is an animal-lover. He was instrumental in founding a retirement place for race horses. The place is called Old Friends. It is for older horses who have completed their racing and breeding years.
