Handy to have a gun and ammo store that actually has inventory. I swung in here after seeing the Guns sign for my husband Prices are high on ammo right now, but that is everywhere. They definately have a nice selection of guns, accessories, and ammo. Staff was very friendly. Even gave the girls a bucket of toys to play with while I browsed. Chambered is a hidden gem tucked away and easy to miss. Although the shop may be small, they have many firearms available for sale. The customer service is great and very knowledgeable- especially if you are unfamiliar with a certain manufacturer or topic. I recently purchased a Holosun 407C Green Dot and a CGS MOD9SK Suppressor. I have made several purchases here over the past few years. Many times I just walk in to see what they have (just looking). Every time I am greeted by a friendly staff willing to help. One time I overheard a staff member make a recommendation to a customer wanting to purchase her first firearm. The recommendation was for her to find a range that would allow her to rent a few guns and decide what she liked. I called this shop today 5/13/19. Found a RMR optic at a competitor Chambered would not price match another shops online posted price of an in stock item. Due to the other shop having a manufacturing defect from Trijicon I could not get from them. I was told that there is no way that they can price match their competitor because it is was to close to cost and the employee stated that he would not ask the owner because the pricing is really cheap and basically that he would be willing to loose a customer on pricing to the competitor. I do not own my own business however I run a business. Sad to see a "small" company willing to have an item sit on the shelf to not price match a competitor and come and purchase this item. All it takes is one time to not attempt to help a customer and you could have lost that customer for life and being a local guy this is detrimental to a business and word of mouth communication. Not to mention the $ I would have spent this day and possibly more in the future if they would have been willing to work with me so I can finish a build. So to the owner: apologies however I will not be spending any of my hard earned money in your shop. These guys are great!!!!! I'm not a super knowledgeable gun guy and these guys make things super simple. I purchased a gun from another dealer and they helped me with a sight and other goodies. After speaking with them I was immediately interested in purchasing a Smith & Wesson and they were able to order it for me. I like to patronize local shops but his shop makes me not want to come in...... I have purchased a firearm from here before but it wasn't a pleasant transaction. Then came in another time and again I felt the same way. The last time I came in and asked the person behind the counter if he had a certain part and all he did was point me to the direction he thought they were instead of coming around the counter and showing me. I have been shopping at Chambered USA since they opened about 5 years ago. Jay has always been extremely helpful and is very knowledgeable about fire arms. He takes the time to educate new customers to help them make an informed decision. He educates in away to not talk down to the customers, this is very helpful! I was temporarily in town for work purposes and was looking to purchase a used/traded gun. The really cool thing is they let me run my background check without purchasing a gun. Upon doing the background check it came back denied (which was not expected since I have a clean history and purchased many guns before). These guys went above and beyond to call the FBI directly (which isn't possible for everyday people) and get my background check approved the next mornIng. So instead of waiting 6 months for my UFIN application to get approved I was going home with the rifle I wanted at the end of my trip. Not a very big place but Jay is a super nice guy and they do FFL transfers for $20. While I was in the store I overheard a phone conversation where the owner told a customer where they could find an item at a cheaper price then what he could offer it for. That is a rare thing. I have been buying from this store for a couple of years. Always good service and helped me with my first build. Obviously I have spent a few bucks in this place. Early in December I purchased parts for a AR build and paid via debit card. 3 weeks later I was again debited for the same amount and I had not purchased anything from the after that. I called the same day the amount was deducted from my checking account and was told the owners were not in but they would call me. They did the following day and told me they did not make the deduction there credit card company did and he would get it resolved for me. I check back a couple of times and they still would not refund the money. I personally went to the store as I was not getting any return calls. The owners were not there but one of the employees sent Jay a text and told Him I was there to get my money back and again he refused to pay me back. I had talked to my bank the day I found the charge and again after I had visited the store. They decided it was a fraudulent charge and refunded my money. The Employee also told me I was not the only customer this was happening to. I will not do business we this company again. read more

Chambered is a great local store if you are looking for firearms, ammo, and accessories. I prefer the small independent stores over the big guys any day. They always have a good mixture of firearms to choose from. Also a good mix of accessories so take your time to check out each display carefully. The store is small But plenty of room for products and customers. They even have a chill couch to relax on while waiting on that good ol background. All of the staff are easy to talk to. None of that you should buy this or that crap like other stores. Currently I have purchased ammo, accessories and two firearms from this store. While I was there waiting the background check he dealt with multiple customers in a very friendly and welcoming manner. Helping them determine what best suits their needs. HORRIBLE customer service!!!!!! I just got off the phone with an employee named Aaron who ended the call by yelling "[Jay] IS F***ING SICK, COME TALK TO ME FACE TO FACE!" right before hanging up on me. I have tried calling back a few times but it seems that he is now avoiding my call. I asked if they have my tax stamp that was approved 45 days go, which is the maximum window the ATF gives for the dealer to receive the stamp. I have had no communication from Chambered. When I asked if they could check on it, Aaron told me that he "doesn't know anything except how to push buttons". I asked what the next step is since the ATF says that the dealer should have the stamp and he doesn't know how to do anything but press buttons (his own words). He said to wait for Jay, the owner, to come back. I asked if anyone else in the store would be able to check on or have any knowledge of this process and he said no. I then asked to speak with someone else in the shop and he told me no. Then to clarify, I said that since he only knows how to push buttons and wont let me speak with anyone else, I have to wait for the owner to return to work. Aaron then yelled at me to "COME TALK TO ME FACE TO FACE", as if he was offended at the fact that he only posses the brain power to "push buttons" trying to intimidate me with the idea that he could cause me harm by asking him face to face. I'm 45 min away so that wouldn't work. Aaron then Kindly told me that Jay is "F***ING SICK" and hung up on me. They finally answered may call, having to call from a different number, and Aaron answered. I told Aaron that this was the guy he had just hung up on, was horrible with customer service, and if I could speak with anyone else at the store. Aaron laughed, saying that it was only my interpretation and "let me see if anyone wants to talk to you." I spoke with John, one of the owners, who was very helpful. John took my information and said he would check into my purchase which is all I was asking for in the first place. I informed John of my "pleasant" experience with Aaron and to my surprise he said Aaron is great! The whole store had to have heard the conversation, its very small, so I assume John did as well. No apology in the slightest but instead he seemed to fully support his employee. I've never felt the need to write a review, but this experience was compelling to say the least. I found out about this shop via a gun manufactures website. I've driven by hundreds of times and I never knew they were there. I read their reviews online and figured it had to be a case of having friends and family write reviews for them, no one is this good right? But with the good reviews I thought I'd see what it was all about given how close they are to me. By the time I left it was pretty obvious the reviews were genuine. I was interested in a particular, low end firearm. The kind of thing most gun shops would turn up their noses on. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Jay and I told him what I was looking for. I expected some attitude, it seems to be a given in this industry and a main reason I don't buy many firearms, but didn't get that from Jay. He was welcoming, polite and just an all around nice guy. He gave me his honest opinion of the firearm in an intelligent thought out and practical way. We discussed the pluses and minuses, my intended use and the like and the decision was left to me. The sale went smooth and easy. Jay gave me some tips on where to take my son shooting, priced some ammo for me etc. He was always pleasant and I really felt like my business was appreciated even though I wasn't dropping a ton of money. I think anyone who comes in this place will have the same experience. If you know a little, a lot or nothing about guns you can come here and not feel out of place.
