Ok so.... AMAZING PLACE AND AMAZING STAFF!! I have been all over and have never seen a place as awesome as this place....The day that I came across this place I had just spent $1,200 dollars at Sportsman Warehouse which is a great place but AZ Firearms is probably 1/25 the size and has all the same stuff at way less plus the best part is their amazing unique stuff that I have NEVER SEEN ANYWHERE ELSE- I mean ANYWHERE.... the exact AR I bought they had at a less price plus the staff are amazing- really friendly and informative, plus they're all strapped which is cool and what I am used to being from TN.. overall let's just say I wish I could own stock in this little place- Note to the owner-- perfect ten!! I think they're okay. With everything going on to me they just aren't responsive. I called and could get help but emailing and following the process one of their employees told me was how things are done is just difficult. I purchased two firearms one from a local business and only need the transfer portion of my order, and it just is difficult ensuing things are done. My local order is on hold and the other order is all good to go that's nuts to me for two places right here in town. I had a nice experience inside in all to which I hoped my second experience would be the same but I feel like maybe I need to have others in my area that handle my transfer just in case. I'm waiting now but I've emailed so much to make sure things are right that I feel I'm just bugging them, but not one employee has responded and I don't like spending my money and not knowing where everything is, and they don't treat all transactions like our traditional stores that will send you a confirmation and respond if you need help. I'm going to wait (I have no choice to), but that process just sucks. And, with the order being local I really expected it before the one I purchased out of state. It's tough trying to make sure you don't get scammed and they don't help in any of that arena (consumer anxiety). I didn't know they were this close to me which is what led me to them and back but I also found out shooters world handles the same thing's I need; so for anyone reading my opinion I say don't put all your eggs in one basket. Find a place that will appreciate knowing you and the business you bring them, has a process that seems well rounded and stick to em. read more

Thought i'd treat myself for my birthday and the other guys had a long wait so drive down to Az firearms. Staff was helpful and informative and gave me several options. Finally decided on a small 22 that is awesome for conceal and carry. Prices were fair so did not leave feeling like I over spent. Great experience! It's been 20 yr since I fired a gun, so I did a lot of research when considering the purchase of a self-defense weapon. I had called ahead and talked to Alex who very patiently answered questions about the inventory. The next day he remembered me, and even remembered the guns we had discussed. He spent over an hour with me as I considered several models and asked many questions. I ended up with a new gun (and ammo, as he had put a box aside for me), cleaning kit, and holster. Gotta be honest, one or two of the staff members can be a bit rude, seem like they hate answering your questions, But if you get the Tall Mark or the longer hair/glasses mark youll be in for some damn good customer service. which means a lot to me when making a decision about a firearm that im about to purchase. Good prices, very good selection. Visit here before you go to cabelas or some other franchise. Side note: long hair Mark (they have three Marks that work in the store lol) is exteremly friendly and seems to love what he does. Stopped by today to see what was in stock. Last time there I had questions and the employee said to email the manager so I did. After two weeks without an answer I stopped by the store. They are not requiring customers to wear masks, only a few of the 10 customers had masks. If they cannot take the time to reply to emails or look out for my safety then I will shop elsewhere. read more

I love every experience at AZ Firearms. I purchased a handgun that I wanted that they didn't carry, but they showed me their site and how to find a whole selection of guns. Turns out, there were a few sales that made it really(!) reasonable. Mark, and the other guys are all great. I don't know anybody in that store who hasn't been absolutely professional, patient and helpful. I also noticed that AZFirearms also participated in a recent desert clean-up initiative. It's really great to see a little shop get involved in such a big way. None of the other major stores or chains were there, and AZFirearms was getting dirty, cleaning up the desert with volunteers from the NRA, Tread Lightly and the BLM/Park Service. Very cool, guys. Kudos for caring about your local community and pitching in on the volunteerism. For these reasons, I go here first whenever possible. Class act, all around. read more

These guys are awesome! I came in to visit and look around a few months ago when I first moved to town but didn't buy anything even though they have a FANTASTIC selection. Today I went to pick up a replacement pistol shipped from Taurus and not only did they figure out it was mine immediately (Taurus didn't bother to include my phone number in the shipment) but they didn't even charge me to do the transfer. On top of all of this, they helped me out with everything ten minutes before they close. I haven't had time to go shooting lately, but when I do I'll be purchasing my ammo, and future firearms, from these friendly guys, and I suggest everyone else do the same. read more

Don't do business with these people. I bought a lower receiver from them, and when I tried to put a parts kit in it, it turned out to be out of spec. The manufacturer has since gone out of business, so a warranty claim is not possible. I returned to the store hoping to swap it out for one of equal value or to get a store credit. I waited in the store for over an hour while the gunsmith confirmed that it was actually out of spec, and the entire time the sales staff was talking trash about every single customer that left the store. One guy was trying to buy a suppressor, and the staff didn't even know how to run the paperwork, so they just tried to convince him that suppressors aren't worth buying. Finally, after an hour of listening to this, my salesman came back out and told me that the owner had decided that they weren't going to do anything for me. No swap, no store credit. I'm just going to have to eat the $150 I spent on a faulty part. He did offer to sell me a PSA lower for the same price that's on the PSA website, which they have in the store at a 250% markup. Most of their inventory carries a similar markup over msrp. Save your money and your dignity, and shop somewhere else. read more

I recently came here with my mother who is a 66 year old Vietnam Nurse to help her choose a firearm for herself. While we were there we looked around for a bit although we already knew exactly what we were going to purchase; a glock 22 .40 Smith & Wesson. Online the price said $509 but ended up being about $680 (I met glock owners online and none of them paid over $515) maybe it was the holster and the 20 rounds of ammo, but I digress. Came out satisfied that my mother had her gun. The next day I left out of state for work and found out she had returned it. I asked her why she said she wasn't sure how to use it. I told her I would show her. She went back to AZ Firearms to get the same exact gun but turns out they wouldn't sell it back to her. They were not clear as to why. She told me what happened I said we would return in a couple days. When I came back with her I stayed in the car and they still wouldn't sell it back. They told her that they still had the gun but it was in the owners safe and the owner wasn't going to be in until Monday. We called on Monday morning inquiring about the gun and we spoke to a man named Max/Matt, she gave him her name and number and was told she would receive a call back if it was in stock. Hours passed and we still had not received a phone call, so my mother called to ask if it was there so we can come in. Another man answered the phone in a rude manner saying, " Matt/Max is busy with a customer and if he said he will call, then he will call." Pissed off with the customer service, I let it go and continued to wait for another hour before I personally called on my mother's behalf. I spoke to a third man told him we had been waiting hours for a phone call to confirm whether the firearm was available; mind you all pistols are out on display. He told me that they didn't want to sell the gun to my mom because they felt she was buying for someone else and that a woman her age wasn't capable of shooting that type of caliber. Really AZ Firearms you're stereotyping a 66 year old Vietnam veteran? A woman who helped fellow veterans get back on their feet. Yet you believe she would be irresponsible enough to purchase an overpriced firearm (almost $700) for someone else and are not aware of her strength but judge her because of her age? Better off buying from Glockmiester. read more

I would like to start off by saying, you shouldn't have 21 year old kids that are rude trying to sell handguns. I went in there looking for a SIG P239 .40 which they had. The case for the gun was complete junk and wasn't taken care of all, 2nd the MSRP was $840 and they are selling for $880, I asked for $40 off, which they could not do. Then on top of everything, I provided my CCW and they still did a background check. When I informed the kid I didn't want to purchase the handgun, he felt the need to tell me that he does not get paid on commission and that it wasn't a big deal...so I bought my firearm at BUDSGUNSHOP.COM and paid $20 to a FFL dealer for them to take delivery...never again will I visit or recommend anyone here. read more

This place is GREAT. I wasn't expecting much, looking at the store (and its size) from the outside... but I was blown away by the sheer amount of inventory when I walked in the door. The staff here are very friendly and helpful - honest, but not smug - and they go out of their way to provide the best service possible. The aptly-named Sticky Holsters they carry are particularly helpful for anyone with a designated carry gun in their vehicle, and my respect for their business has only grown knowing that they are very strong supporters of local law enforcement and military. To date I have only used AZ firearms for FFL services. Every time I have gone in there I have been impressed with the array of products that are available in the store. The guys there are from me and extremely knowledgeable. One of the guys is highly opinionated but that's okay. We all have our passions. I would most definitely buy a firearm directly from these gentlemen because of their professionalism and their prices do seem fair. The guy who owns the place, I'm assuming, is very cool and looks like he is possibly former military. He is the most professional of the bunch and probably the most knowledgeable, and coincidentally, the friendliest. read more

If you are interested in buying a gun go here don't go to the big box stores. I been to other places and you take a number and then feel in a hurry. These guys are very down to earth and take time to help you find out what you need and explain how things work. They have a big selection and very good prices. This is my new gun shop. Went in AZ firearms in Avondale and again to my surprise, the younger sales staff was not as knowledgeable on atf or nfa information. They have a used serbu super shorty shotgun there that had been there for at least 4 years. The price is a bit high ($750) for a used, and you can tell that it is pretty used, gun. I came in with a reasonable offer ($750 out the door) to finally buy this gun and the owner will not budge. On top of that his sales guy told me that an aow stamp is 50 bucks. WRONG is only $5, but he argued me different. Unfortunately they just keep confirming every time I go, that there are better gun shops around. read more

I do not claim to be the most knowledgeable about hand guns, but I do know a bit. I would give them a 4 if it was not for the ammo. Evertime i go in to get more ammo they are limited stock, which I know is not their fault but still, Its a bit of a hike. With that I did buy my Glock 20 from them which was about 70 off the suggested retail price new in 2012. read more
