Been going here for a year now. Amazing faculty and school. I have no complaints. Might be expensive but so worth it.

It is unfortunate that a zero star rating is not available. Avoid this place at all costs! Not…read moreworth the $50k+ tutiion, $200+ uniforms from Uniform Advantage, and overall headache. Expect that when you first inquire they will make false claims about learning resoruces, and anything else to get you to sign up. They will tell you anything to register. Don't buy into it! The school accepts financial aid, but does not have financial aid staff. I have made countless requests to meet with financial aid over the course of weeks, and no one is available. I was told by two separate front desk personnel on different occassions that there wasn't a direct telephone line or anyone available on campus. As students we were told by professors that per administration we are stritcly prohibited from reviewing our tests. Just imagine taking an exam, and not being able to see at any point what you got wrong. How as a student will you ever correct your mistakes, if you don't know what they are to begin with. Adminstration is disorganized and just as clueless as they come. I made a SECOND request to withdraw over a week ago, they don't have an online portal so there is no way to do it automatically. Instead you must send emails to people who apparently work remote, in the hopes that they will even acknowledege your email. Be prepared to send several emails repeatedly only to recieve an open ended response. Tutoring: When I first inquired with FVI I was told by an admission rep. that there are tutors available for all courses. That was a blatant lie. TI started core nursing classes in Jan. 2022, there was no tutor available (a tutor was hired several weeks after the semester started and majority, if not all of the students in my class failed or scored poorly on their first exams in both didactic and pharmacology). Supplies: The school also lacks supplies in the lab class room. Broken pulse oximeters, bent needles, and overall just a lack of supplies that are vital to learning and skill check offs. I lost count of how many times we had to imagine and pretend in lieu of no supplies. Imagine doing skills check offs for blood glucose checks, and there aren't enough test strips for each student to complete the demonstration for check off. What a joke! Schedules: I did not recieve my class schedule until the night before class started. That was after sending at least 4 emails requesting something as simple as a schedule. Director of Nursing: I initially requested to withdraw over a month ago. The front desk personell directed me to the academic affairs department, who then suggested that I meet with the DON prior to withdrawing. I met with the DON who deflected every concern that I had about the program, and the ways things are done and not done back to me. She lacks understanding and compassion. She is blind to shortcomings and muddled practices that she has put in place for the ADN program. It is important to understand that the only time clear and consistent communication will come from FVI is during the process of admissions. Over a week after my second request to withdraw, I recieved an email from Nairobi Collado (ncollado@fvi.edu) - (unaware of her position or title) where she told me in part to, "no longer contact the school." Meanwhile my withdrawal process is not finalized.

I especially want to thank Professor Ms Lana Palacio for her patience, dedication, encouragement, and passion for teaching. Over these past months, she not only educated me and my classmates, but she also believed in us and pushed us to become confident in ourselves and our skills. Thanks to the education and externship experience I received, I was able to get hired full-time with a great pay opportunity immediately after externship. That says a lot about the preparation and support provided by this program. Nothing comes easy, but if you stay focused, work hard, and take the program seriously, it can truly open doors for your future. I'm grateful for the journey, the memories, and the people who helped shape my path in dentistry.

I was advised to take the Wonderlic and HESI tests to apply for the dental hygiene program, then immediately charged $100 once I passed, just for the application. They also insisted I pay $10 to have my transcripts sent through their system. When I mentioned I had most of the required pre-requisite courses because I already have a bachelor's degree, Aileen never told me that credits older than five years wouldn't count. This didn't make sense to me, especially since I hold a college degree. As a result, I would have to pay $80,000 for the entire dental hygiene program--money that I could've saved had I been given the right information upfront. The whole process felt disorganized, and I spent so much time studying for the HESI test unnecessarily. After I realized the program was going to cost so much more than expected, I requested a refund for the $100 application fee. Aileen ignored my calls and emails, but when she wanted my money, she was always quick to respond. I eventually had to track down someone else to get my refund. This school cares more about collecting fees than actually supporting students. I would strongly advise staying away from this place. There are much better, more transparent options out there.

I attended Cambridge in Delray for nursing and this school and program was amazing.. I tried a…read moreschool before that didnt fit and i left there feeling discouraged, and besides that had heard all these horror stories about nursing school so I was scared and praying to make the right choice. And I did! This school is fast paced but the information is given so effectively by such great professors that really enjoy teaching their specialties and it makes such a difference.. My first class was scary and rough I had professor Baker and she is a tough teacher it made me feel uncertain in if I could do it. But as the class went on and I started learning more and understanding her she was literally just a great teacher and knew how we needed to be delivered the fundamentals to lay that ground work for us and im telling u it worked so many things have suck and she was so dedicated to us. She'd do after school group zooms with us to help us learn more and get the pieces to fall into place. Her wisdom, love, and dedication to her students and her teaching made it all so easy to take in and gave us a thirst for her knowledge. Then we had her again in med surg and we were all feeling confident walking in because we knew if Baker knew it she'd pass it on to us. Dean/Professor DelCoro taught us pharm and medsurg and the way he broke things down and made connections to each drug and disease with a story or life experience was perfect for people who learn like i do. His classes were probably my hardest but he gave us so many pp, stories and silly pictures to relate to things and we all ended up doing well in his class. Then Professor Zerfas who did our mental health drugs and mental health clinical was just a genius. She is such a smart intellectual woman, who not only knows the world of psych like the back of her hand but her love for it just pours out of her all day. And her intellect is so intriguing that it makes u want to learn more and know more. And personally the reason I changed to wanting to do mental health. Also Professor Phillips who taught mental health that woman is a gem. So sweet so smart and everything about her, her class and teaching helps you to better understand people and how to effectively communicate with anyone. Professor Greiner in maternity/peds was incredible her love, knowledge and expertise in that field makes her class so enjoyable. And the excitement she gets showing us all her little replicas and doing all the Sims shows her dedication not just to us but to the specialty. Then there's Professor Prince whose last name should really be queen bc she is the damn queen! She teaches critical care which for me helped refresh me on everything from past classes and tie it all together. She is incredible! Wise beyond belief, teaches you and shows you examples and has so many life experiences to help drive her points home. She also was my preceptor and I swear I jumped for joy when I heard that bc I knew I could pick her brain all day on anything and everything I still had questions on. And I did! Overall the school was amazing, the hrs, days, workload, professors, Dean, Mrs.Desiree the queen of schedules who does her best for everyone. And the resources we were given even after graduation to keep us studying so we all could walk in to take our NCLEX without any doubt or horsemen on our shoulders. I love this school! Also before i give my 5 i want to mention how incredible and thankful i am for this school bc when I did struggle in one of my classes and was freaking out about to fail it Professor Prince pulled me aside worked with me one on one and talked with me but even still I was upset, scared and feeling like crap, and she did something I never would have expected from a Professor, she pulled out a book of scripture and read it with me. That action alone blew me away.. Then 2 weeks after I graduated I was going thru a tough time with family and Professor Phillips called to check on how my nclex studying was going, heard in my voice I wasnt ok and instantly switched into friend mode and talked me thru alot and prayed with me over my family, my son and all I had been worrying about. These acts aren't what professors do, these are acts that people who truly want to see you do well in all areas of life do. In Cambridge you're not just another student, you're a person! They know u by name, they know you have a life outside of there and ur needs and they work to help you navigate thru all that so u can be the success you want to be.

Having played poker in a casino over 15 years, I have decided to give dealing a shot. I have…read morealways wanted to deal poker professionally, be it part or full time. But I have no experience sooooo I enrolled in the Mizrachi Dealer Academy Inc. The program is 120 hours long, which takes about 6 weeks minimum considering the dealer school is only open M-Th. I currently have logged about 18 hours and it is a definite W.I.P (work in progress). Stacy, the instructor, is very demanding and has her own in-your-face style. But there is no doubt an end game method to the style. Poker dealers generally take in between 50k-60k so going to poker school is worth it. In order to get a dealing position, one must pass an audition at a casino. There is where the poker school is crucial because of contacts to local poker rooms. Otherwise, it is tough to get that perverbial foot in the door. Stacy teaches you the proper techniques from the ground up. But, as there are other students, one must also practice well on his or her own. I currently have my own green felt and poker chips at home for practice purposes. Completing the 120 hour course does not guarantee anyone a diploma and an audition, as everyone learns at a different pace. But those students with over 120 hours are allowed to attend the classes until they are audition ready. Gulfstream Casino and Mardi Gras Casino are the two major contacts in connection with the dealer school. However, once you become an adept dealer with a diploma, most other casinos may give you a look. I only know of a few other poker dealer schools in South Florida. Based on my 18 hour experience so far, the Mizrachi Dealer Academy Inc is the way to go. Because if you can handle the pressure there, I believe it to be a piece of cake dealing for real in a casino. You are taught, among other techniques, how to pitch the cards, count the bank, cut the chips, proper shuffling, the different poker games, count and take the rake, running the game, what to look for, and several other necessities for dealing success. But it's not easy. I know the game well but was surprised how little I knew about dealing. Awkward at first, I now feel like I'm beginning to hit a little groove. The 120 hour course costs $1,300. It may be paid in two increments. So, if you are looking to switch careers like me, give poker dealing and this school a look. It can be a part time job as well...

I'm a nervous wreck and it's hard to believe in myself in most situations! Boy oh boy did Stacy change that. The way she believed in me, helped me to believe in myself. She has a way of making you WANT to be better. If you take her course, you will want to prove yourself to her and it will push you to practice every day. It will push you to want to do it for yourself. She never gives up on you. If the course was double the price I paid, I would still do it. She goes above and beyond to implant the rules in your head. If everyone learned from her, the casinos would all have perfect dealers. I'm so happy I took the step to take this course. I went from a lost waitress to a confident poker dealer and I owe it all to her. Stacy, if you're reading this. Thank you. Thank you. And thank you again.
