Run away from this school. They make major changes in the middle of courses or just two weeks before classes begin, with little regard for how it affects students. They recently switched from Metrics to Core ELM for clinical logs, and the system isn't even working properly. Instead, students are expected to use spreadsheets to log every patient. Imagine documenting 20-30 patients a day for four clinical days, then manually transferring all of that information. That alone can take days, if not an entire week. Meanwhile, we're still expected to keep up with coursework, quizzes, discussion posts, and exams. This isn't a minor inconvenience--it's a significant burden that directly impacts students' ability to learn and succeed. If a new system isn't ready, it shouldn't be implemented right before clinicals begin. Many master's students are now organizing to report these ongoing issues to the accrediting body because expecting students to rely on paper spreadsheets for clinical documentation is simply unreasonable. It often feels like student concerns are ignored. When policies and systems create unnecessary barriers instead of supporting learning, it's hard not to question whether student success is truly a priority. I wish I could rate this School a zero this Rancho Cordova campus is terrible. I am warning all of you students. Please do not attend this school. I have two nieces and a daughter who attended the school, they were so excited when they first started. They have had terrible experiences when you need help they will act like they are going to help you but nobody will return any of your calls. The last time I called to ask a question that Dean Mr. sandal, I believe his name is completely hung up on me and would not answer any of my question he was very unprofessional and would not even take a second to hear anything I was trying to say. I spoke to the board of nursing and there's classes that they are giving that are not even required in the state of California I just want everyone to be aware because I've seen what all of my nieces and daughter have been going through. You will NOT get help. You will reach out to counselors tutors, and nobody will be available for you, you will show up to School to try to speak to somebody and they will tell you there is nobody to speak to and they will escort you out if they have to. I am telling all of you this from a concerned mom who has been going through this for about 4 1/2 years now please pick another nursing school where you can actually get Support not hung up on by Dean's no callbacks no email backs. It has been one of the worst experiences for all of them. I have received about 500 signatures and people stories about this campus. Recently, one of my nieces were supposed to take their last test. There were technical difficulties on the schools end and did not allow her to take it now because they had technical difficulties. They are having her wait three more months to take a whole another class so she will have to wait to graduate five more extra months after doing a full four year program there's nobody to reach out to you. you can call the top dean of all schools and they will not help you. I can now see why all the Chamberlain's are the same because the main principle that overseas all the chamberlain is the exact same way, you will not get help. f I could give Chamberlain University -100 stars, I would. This school is a complete joke. I'm currently stuck in a ridiculous class called Health and Wellness -- a made-up course that NO nurse I work with has ever even heard of. And I work with a lot of nurses. Why is this even a requirement? It adds zero value to our nursing careers. But the real nightmare is the so-called "instructor." She's an absolute tyrant. She dumps assignments on Sundays and demands they be done by Monday -- along with quizzes and exams. How is that even remotely fair or professional for an online program that's supposed to offer flexibility? Newsflash: working adults don't live in your fantasy world, lady. And the worst part? Her response to everything is "Nursing school is rigorous." No. That's not rigor -- that's laziness, disorganization, and cruelty disguised as structure. You're not tough -- you're just mean, and clearly on a power trip. Every nurse I know who's seen what she assigns says the same thing: this woman is weird, bitter, and clearly unfit to teach. This program doesn't care about actually preparing you -- they just want your money while making your life miserable. Don't go here. HUGE SCAM. The finance department sent me a financial plan at the beginning of the semester. The finances included me having a Pell grant and paying around 196$ a month for classes out of pocket with financial aid. 6 weeks in, I had to contact them because of an outstanding balance on my account that should have been covered. They told me the financial plan they sent had a "glitch" and they sent a new one that had me paying 2400$ a month for classes. plus student loans. plus owing at the end of the two years. Don't go here. Don't waste your time. I'm now seeking legal advice because they are charging me 4200$ for the 6 weeks of class I took, but had to withdraw from based on the financial plan. Would give zero stars if possible! Applied to the school several months ago, my advisor was Alexis Osborne who doesn't answer or return calls, she doesn't reply to emails or ever try to get in touch. After waiting weeks, I call the 877 number and they tell me I have a new advisor Joy Silva. I email her and she tells me they don't have a number on file BUT my student profile page shows my address and phone number? Joy came off rude and seemed annoyed by my email. My start date has been pushed back once already and honestly it's looking like I won't be attending here. The admissions proceeds should be a simple experience! Their process is horrible, I have to wait for a transcript that was 20 years ago which is taking a while to get and they couldn't even get the transcript on their end so I don't understand why they would expect the same on my end. I was told my process would be pushed back to September of 2023 if I didn't receive the transcripts by today and only to find out that the school 20 years ago does not have no transcript. I just wasted my whole time waiting for nothing. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSTITUTION. I applied to chamberlain university college of nursing in Sacramento campus around June for their BSN program, during that time SAMANTHA SOLIS was my advisor. After submitting all my application I never heard from her, anytime I tried to reach her, it'll say leave a voice mail. Due to this I requested to move my application to the Irwindale campus in LA. There, SHERRI DOWER was my advisor. First off they mistaken my files with someone else, mistaken my Hesi exam with someone else and all my files seemed to be disorganized. My Science gpa is around 3.6 and my general education gpa is 3.4, and I had a 89 on my Hesi A2 exam and it's still not enough for this school. They keep telling me my application will be reviewed by the committee review next week, and It's been 2 months of hearing this same news. Every week I call them to find out where I stand with them is another NEXT WEEK news. This is very unprofessional and frustrating as I really had high hopes for this school. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING HERE. You will not get a hold of anyone and they'll definitely waste your time. I never write reviews about anything, but this was just too much. If you are looking to apply to this school in the future, don't. This school is terrible at communication. If you look at forums and previous reviews, you will find that communication related to your application is impossible to receive. I had been in the process since May and was told last month the cohort was full. Mind you, that they had not answered my calls or emails the PREVIOUS months about next steps. I was very on top of any information they did tell me, however, they delayed the whole process for me. So disappointed in this school. Another advisor told me they were going to transfer my application to a Texas location. They as well never reached out to me, so my assumption is that all Chamberlain campuses are the same way or this location never transferred my application. DO NOT waste your time applying here. I see that most of the reviews are negative due to lack of communication and the waiting process. You do have to call / send emails consistently to move your application forward. I sent a request for more info about the nursing program in November of 2022 and the decision was finalized mid February 2023. I was able to complete the application process til the end. The Sac campus is in a nice, secluded area by a lot of trees and greenery. I have heard a lot of positive reviews about getting a job after graduation from people I know personally who attended Chamberlain. The tuition is up there but there are a lot of financial aid, scholarships, and loan options to make it possible. Don't let the negativity deter you! read more

I recently applied to this school for Sept 2023 cohort! I've had an extraordinary experience so far. My advisor is Alexis and she has been very communicative with me in regards to any questions I have. I have had nothing but prompt responses and am currently waiting to see if I get in. 1 star for sales, 0 stars for communication, follow-ups, and providing true information. In December of 2019, I attended this campus' "open house" to gain knowledge of what the school offered and what pre-reqs were needed to get in, etc. I left there happy as clam because I had already complete the 3.0 gpa requirement, all that was left was to test on the HESI A2 which was a requirement to take 7 days after your application. Fast forward to March 1st, HESI A2 complete, score requirement attained... It is now March 19th, NO RESPONSE from school. I have emailed Ms. Cathy Khoshabeh (senior admissions director), Ms. Chloe French (admissions), with no response still 3 weeks later. I have visited in person, where I was greeted by the Securitas employee whom proceeded to hand me a business card and say "Email Chloe French, she isn't going to respond via phone" How professional. Numerous phone calls have gone unanswered with no prompt to be able to leave a voicemail. This school seemed to meet all my needs, wants and expectations, they REALLY sold me. But when it comes to execution and communication they are piss poor. Oh! And watch out the application fee is $95 which they gladly took from my bank account and have yet to get in touch with me about my application that they gladly took their fee for! read more

Worst school ever especially the Cleveland campus. They let us all down with their incompetence and lack of willingness to recognize it. They treated us like children in their disrespect despite us being grown adults pursuing an honorable degree. In our last two months the Columbus campus took over and told us we know nothing compared to other campuses and this is due to our professor. Especially professor Bennett was the one to let us down the most as she was disrespectful and did not teach us one thing in the most important classes as nursing student. read more

I don't even give this college one star. I would AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! They are a scam! maybe they do accept some students but its b.s! I paid $100 application fee just to be turned down. My advisor "Cathy" had HORRIBLE communication it took her weeks just to get back to me. I submitted everything that was needed. I am going to school currently at a community college and only have 3 biology classes to complete. I have a 3.74 GPA and I have straight A's but was denied and given no explanation. They give students no hope since its a "committee" that decides who gets in or not. I am a single mother to three children and have worked SO hard to get where I am. They took my $100 for what exactly? I won't ever see that money back such a rip off! they take peoples hard earned money to say it is an application fee but literally nothing is even reviewed like social etc until you've been accepted and even that you still have to pay more. It is seriously a disappointment this college promotes so much just to turn down people knowing damn well they are taking their money to help fund their school. Not to mention they have been blowing me off since trying to reach out to them to see what was wrong with me since I have spoke to numerous students who had a lower GPA than me and were accepted. Even though they say admission is based on grades and hesi it's based more on how many classes you have already completed that could be transferred in.. they accept more students with no prerequisites than they do students that have lots of medical background and most prerequisites completed. read more

I am working with an admission advisor to enroll in the next class which starts in September. I have not had an issue contacting the school. In fact, I submitted my application online and had the faculty reach out to me and set me up for an information session. The advisors were extremely informative, helpful and kind. They explained the application process, financial aid, probability of acceptance based on their criteria and we had a full tour of the facility. One thing I will say is that their admission requirements differ a bit from the other Chamberlain College campuses, because they are a newer campus. Please do not give up on applying due to a few hiccups. Also, there are representatives that can be reached to answer questions even when the campus cannot be reached. read more

I was looking all over for a nursing program close by the Sacramento area. I came across this Chamberlain College and was hoping to get more information from them. However, there was no email or phone number on the website for contact information. I had to do an online application in order for them to reach out to me which cost $95 for the online application. They mentioned it would take 24-48 hours for them to reach me. It has been more than 2 days and I have not heard a word from them. They got my number, email, and payment for online application. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! Save yourself time and your ninety-five dollars for the application fee. I initially attended a virtual information session with academic advisor Estephany in February. She made it sound like Chamberlain was a great school if you wanted to pursue a BSN. I then went ahead and put in an application and paid the $95 fee. However, I forgot to put in my last 4 digit of my SSN on the application. On the application, they had auto-populated some example numbers ( it was like 2222) or something like that. I totally didn't see that and skipped it, submitted my application and it went through. Usually, applications/forms from other companies wouldn't let you submit it if you didn't put in your own numbers, but Chamberlain's did. I noticed that right away and contacted the admissions advisor who I was working with. She asked me to rmail her a picture of my social security card and that she would take care of that right away. I didn't feel comfortable with the idea due to security purposes, so I offered to stop by the school in person to get this taken care of. She didn't want that and the other option would be to submit it myself to student services and they can take care of it, but it would be longer. So, then I agreed to send it through email to her. By now it was early May and I hadn't heard from her so I emailed her to get an update on the status of my application, and got an automated message saying that she was out of the office. A few days later, I called her and left her a voicemail, of course I get no response. I called Chamberlain's national number, told them what I was going through and they apologized and directed my call to the Rancho Cordova campus since that was the one that I was working with. Front desk lady picked up, I let her know what happened and she said that Estephany was not available to take my call and that she would have her contact me. I was frustrated at this point since the communication has been poor and asked to be assigned to another advisor. She basically told me that there are only 3 advisors and she won't be able to do that. This just shows that the people there don't have the capacity to do their job and handle their duties well. A week goes by and I hear nothing so I emailed her again and I didn't get a response until mid-June (it's been over a month at this point). In the emails I sent her previously, I expressed that I wanted to get a specific date on when the next cycle would start because I wanted to begin studying for the Hesi A2 exam and she would not respond. So at this point, it's been about a little over a month with no communication. Then, I get an email from her saying that my application has been corrected. On June 24th she sent me several emails that entailed deadlines for me to get my transcripts, passion statement in and to take the Hesi A2 exam. She said I would need to get my official transcripts in by June 29th and passion statement in by June 30th and have taken the Hesi by June 26th in order to be considered for the fall, which starts August 29th. She emailed me all this with 2-3 days to get them done. The Hesi A2 consists of subjects in math, chem, bio, anatomy and physiology, English and a personal assessment. I would have no time to study for it in 2 days! I emailed her back saying that there is no way I can get all of this done and I stated that this was the reason why I tried to contact her earlier on. Her last email to me was that they are currently working with 300+ applicants and working as quickly as possible to reach out in a timely manner. It's not a timely manner when I've been ignored for over a month. And of course she didn't take any responsibility for not responding to my concerns and questions in a timely manner and did not apologize. Long review, but stay away from this school. Take your money and time elsewhere where they value you and would be willing to work with you. read more
