There is also lots of care to help the kids learn to be good humans and practice good manners and build friendships. Ms. Helga is a gem! She is fully integrated into our neighborhood community and that's how she came on my radar. There were no openings at first so I kept waiting! She is always doing things to improve her facilities like adding to the backyard (which is a really big space)! Has a spanish and german component. Art and painting, songs, projects during holidays and cultural holidays. She does a great job selecting the right assistants. Ms. Sarah is so friendly and peppy. Ms. Helga has a great pulse of each kid and understanding where they are in their development. She helped us get our daughter over that final hurdle of potty training (tiny toilets in the house). She shares good tidbits about what our daughter succeeded at for the day and I feel really proud about what our daughter is learning and growing. I guess my daughter absolutely loves circle time and she loves following the rules and raising her hand to participate. My daughter loves and is focused on the activities they do like flashcards. The other day, even though she is only 3, she started counting to 100 on her own. She knows her days or the week, sings songs about the months. Ms. Helga says my daughter will for sure for sure be ready for kindergarten as she is already mastering many of the things that the Kinder assessment covers. I wasn't focused on the academic part initially and just want a safe and secure place but now that I see what my 3-year old comes home knowing, I am really impressed. My daughter is my second kid. We were looking for an in-home setting because I like the stability of staffing and having the preschool owner invested is a must. It is not a typical "in-home" because this house is a dedicated preschool center and bedrooms function as different useable spaces but I'm glad it still has the home-like vibe. From the previous daycares/preschools my kids have been in, I look for 3 main things...1) secure and safe, 2) caring/empathetic, 3) structure/organized/ belief the kids can reach high standards. The Learning Years Academy has all 3 of these things. Seeing all the kids at the table ready to eat snack or breakfast, and listening is so cute. But what makes me happy is when my daughter walks in they all excitedly say hello to my daughter, saying, "___ is here! Hello ____!" I am thankful Ms. Helga created this great little community!

I would think twice about this place…read more I had my two year old son on the list here and was told I had a spot in their two year old classroom. My son has autism though, and so they said I needed an aide or they would not allow him to attend. So I went through hell to get the aide set up. It took weeks and hours and hours on the phone and filling out paperwork. And then I went to tour the two year old class with my son. I told them I wanted him to be with kiddos his own age to have the opportunities to learn the skills other two year olds were learning. And everything was fine, but when I was leaving after the tour they said they had decided it was a good idea to start my son in the younger classroom, which they said was 18-36 months. Even though he had a spot in the two year old class? But then when I asked for the pricing schedule for that class, it was listed as 12-24 months. My son is two and a half. So I called back and said why are you trying to put my two year old son in a class that's not for his age when you told me there is a spot in the two year old class? And they insisted there were two year olds in the class. But when I pushed to find out exactly how many, I found out they were actually moving all of the two year olds up to the two year old class right when my son would start, so he would not have any kids the same age in that class. And they had given my spot in the two year old class away to one of those kids. So now I no longer had the spot that existed for him anymore. As if life wasn't hard enough being a parent of an autistic child. It's hard as hell. And then you have to deal with people trying to deny your kid the same opportunities as other kids. My son is a sweet, gentle little two year old boy, no behavioral issues, loves being around other kids, and he was going to have an aide for the time he was there at their insistence. And he needs the opportunity to learn the same skills other kids learn in daycare. If you have an autistic child or know anyone who has an autistic child, think carefully about which businesses you want to support and which you don't.

Rachael made this difficult separation more bearable and comforting. Before we enrolled our daughter officially, she was helpful in showing us her home, and answering any and all questions we had at the time. Especially during these trying times of COVID-19, Rachael has taken all the necessary precautions for the children, herself, and the home to make sure the environment is covid free. Furthermore, it's not a daycare where my daughter is just playing all day. As a 2 year old in her formative years, she enjoys learning through activities Rachael carefully and thoughtfully prepares in advance. We love seeing our daughter come home and wanting to be with her friends and Rachael again the next day as it brings us peace in having to be apart from her through the day. We highly recommend Rachael and her daycare for anyone seeking a safe, loving, and educational environment for their kids! I'd also like to add that her extended hours have helped us tremendously as our commute to and from work is not the closest one. Thank you, Rachael!

I dont know if that woman had a learning disability or if she just didnt like my kid but calling me multiple times when Im at work to tell me "your daughters not listening and trying to run outside can you come pick her up?" No I cant, I work so you people can get paid, do these teachers not know how to redirect a 2 YEAR OLD and keep them from running out the door? Its pretty simple, ive been doing it for years and im not even trained with kids. After that incident they told me she couldnt come back for 3 days. The day we brought her back she bit someone and they immediately kicked her out. Every preschool and daycare ive talked to since then told me they were wrong for doing that and shouldve handled it differently. I only wanted to bring my child here because she was familiar with a teacher from another daycare that recently started working there. 2nd problem, my children stopped going there in october of 2022 and this daycare was sending attendance forms to child action for november and december. My children were not going there at that time. So they were trying to get extra money from the county for my children that no longer attended that daycare. Idk if this was a racial thing or what but whatever it was, was a mistake because ive lived in Rancho my whole life, I know alot of people out here and I will always tell anyone with kids not to waste their time with this place. My kids go to kindercare now and they love it. So much different and they dont do illegal stuff! Its great! Beware genius kids and the people who work there.
