I took the online courses for my Broker's at a self paced study. It was very helpful with the end of the chapter tests. One items I would recommend to anyone is to buy the $50 for the test questions so you can use that as a review before you do the crash course. I PASSED! I did as Gene told me to "Read The Damn Question Slowly, tally the questions you need to go back to and don't stress it. Practice the "Pink Book" questions and review your notes from the cram course. However, it was externally helpful for me to Google the questions I missed and get a complete understanding of the concept. You won't regret the research on your part. Although the reading material was sometimes excruciating, it was mostly good. The online course was organized very well; I like the way it progresses through material, quizzes, and exams. The 2-day crash course was extremely valuable. The instructor De Wilmore was very good. He knew the material inside and out. I was worried that I would struggle to stay awake all weekend, but he kept us all interested and engaged the entire time. After finishing the 2-day crash course, I was much more confident, but still uncertain whether I would pass. The take-home materials was also very helpful. I looked it over a couple times and went into the exam confident that I would pass. It's impossible to know how well I did because the state doesn't give scores, just pass or fail. I took the crash course on August 10th & 11th and had my exam on August 20th, and... I PASSED. THE FIRST TIME. Having learned to speak and write in english only 2 years ago, this is a huge accomplishment for me. If like me you think that you're too young, too inexperienced, that the odds are against you, or even that the crash course and your state exam dates are too far appart, think again. YOU CAN PASS, AND YOU WILL. Despite considering using only the Hot Questions book provided for free, I obviously purchased the 700 questions Pink Book (who wouldn't want to increase their chances? Well, not you, and not me either. And this purchase was the best idea i've had) and took the fact that I had an extra week to prepare for the state exam to my advantage: I did one exam a day following the instructions provided, and studied my weaknesses harder than ever. I did each test twice. On the morning of the exam, I felt ready and calm despite being extremely anxious about the eventuality of failing. The State exam wasn't easy at all, but a big part of me was calm thanks to Gene Blinick. I cannot thank him enough for the useful informations and tips taught during the 2 days crash course! Stay until the end of the class, the advice given as to how to prepare mentally for the exam is priceless. A positive self image is a must to succeed! I left the exam knowing that I passed. In fact, I was then feeling extremely happy and grateful even before leaving my desk to get my results. Gene made me feel extremely confident.
