I have been back to Nashvegas a few years this month and have not found my go to acupuncturist. As it is a strong mutual relationship, this is a decision that requires some effort to find and grow for it to work. Making an appointment was a breeze. I left a message and Emily called later that afternoon. She had an appointment cancel and boom I was in next day. She emailed me forms and next day we started the work. My issue were my ankles. With needles and an energy unit, I will update when I get correct name, we began. She had a few needles in my hands and ears and legs and stomach. No texting or surfing the Web during this zen time and it was a welcome part of the day to just be in the moment. When we were complete, my ankle did not heal automatically nor did I expect it to, yet later that evening they looked better than they had in months and felt more flexible. I had already booked a followup session for the next week and am very excited to see what else we can heal. Emily was very good at explaining and discussing the treatment and my concerns as a good acupuncturist should. I have had both, some that do great work, without explanation and some which explain but the energy does not flow. I believe she possesses both of these qualities. They don't. Osher requires all patients to file their own insurance for reimbursement; their policy is to provide you with billing paperwork on day of service which contains provider information and coding. But in my experience with two appointments, They don't. Their Patient Relation team directed me to the Vanderbilt portal to find the superbill and stated they can only print on paper due to HIPPA rules. Both of these statements were untrue. The office staff are courteous, but don't seem to possess the required knowledge to run a healthcare related office. Its very frustrating that a Vanderbilt affiliated office has a staff that seems so unorganized and untrained. If you have time to converse back and forth for days with this office staff using the Vanderbilt messaging portal to obtain required insurance forms, or if you are private pay this may be the place for you.
