We drove into town during a snow storm and our car just got caked with mud. Even the windows on our rental SUV couldn't withstand the muck. The problem is, everything is so gorgeous in Banff you want to be able to see! So, one day while my husband and I were driving to our next destination, I looked up car washes on Yelp to try and get some of the gunk off so I could enjoy the pretty scenery during the drive. We found Dirty Dog Car & Truck Wash and pulled in. It's a do it yourself station so it does have some pros and cons. Pros: Good pressure, cheap, with big bays so it's easy to maneuver around your vehicle. Cleaned up our car really well. And since the weather held out and stayed sunny and dry, the cleanliness lasted the rest of our trip! Cons: only two stations and they're vertical in relation to each other. So if you're stuck behind someone you have to wait until they clear out so you can leave. Or if they're the first one's in, they're blocking the other washer so you have to wait, or back into the stall. We had a showdown with a very aggressive pick up truck driver as we pulled in. Not pleasant. It's the closest car wash to Banff that I could find, so you're stuck with it no matter what if you want your car spiffed up. But luckily it gets the job done without a lot of money.

Kelly was kind enough to drop what he was doing, reassured us. and found the ring within 10 minutes (it had fallen in the emergency break slot).
