Sunday morning, Dec 29th, I lost my heat and hot water after moving in to a new house, Christmas eve, that had your tanks. went down into the basement to see what was wrong and the boiler had an f4 fault code. went outside to check the tanks one was at 0% one was at 80%. I called my brother-in-law who's an HVAC tech and he said the gage that read 80% was stuck and both tanks were actually empty. called to ask for an emergency fill and they said no fills are done on Sundays and to call on Monday. Called this morning and they said because i just bought the house i need to sign up wait 72+ hours for account approval then i can maybe get on the schedule. So instead, I called Waltz & Sons down the street from me, and they had your tanks swapped out in less than 2 hours from phone call to install. So please come get your tanks off my lawn! read more

We've been having trouble with our hot water for months. We've had several site visits and was explained we needed a new boiler but never received a quote. Now fully without hot water and we're being told a quote for a new boiler needs an additional site visit a week later even though we've been through this multiple times. Propane tanks went completely empty and didn't get filled even though we're on auto-fill. Today was supposed to be the day of an additional site visit. I had requested to have a quote sent to me for a new boiler - they decided to mail it instead of using the email I provided. No one showed up for today's site visit. When I called, they told me it was cancelled but decided not to let us know. We've been without hot water for a week and I have no idea when we'll actually get decent service to get this resolved. You're our only option and you have done nothing to help us. read more

If you have the choice, do not get your propane from this company. I rent a house with a Champagne tank so I have no choice, but I have had almost nothing but bad experiences with propane delivery from them. Off the bat, their prices are higher than every other company in the area. Then there's the experience of dealing with them. Our first experience with them was a tech who came into our house to turn our system back on after the tank had run empty, who berated us--quite honestly treated us like negligent morons--over something that was our landlord's fault and had nothing to do with us. After offering no helpful suggestions, he stormed out of the house like a child and left. Today, Champagne was supposed to deliver propane after we called 2 days ago to schedule delivery. We got a call this morning saying they had forgotten to put in the ticket and the driver "missed" our house, and it would be an extra $100 for them to come back to us. So now we're in the position of shelling out extra money for THEIR mistake, turning off our heat to conserve propane right after a massive snowstorm, or risking our tank running empty and having to deal with that tech again. They only deliver on Wednesday and Thursday to our area and have a fully booked schedule this week, so I guess we're waiting another week for propane. I cannot imagine experiences like this are all too uncommon with Champagne. The woman on the phone is always kind and helpful, but at some point any customer of theirs will have to deal with their staff either not doing their jobs, or doing them spitefully. And they'll probably charge you extra for it. read more

Duct transitions can be very tricky business! Douglas, the duct mechanic at Champagne's Energy did an excellent job with the duct transition work for our new furnace which was installed by another company. He was also very friendly and made sure he cleaned up after he was finished. read more

I have been a customer of Champagne's Energy since 2017. I have never had an issue getting my propane delivered--even when the weather was atrocious! Additionally, their customer service has always been professional and friendly. I have called them out 3 times for repairs to gas fire places and my gas water heater. Each time, the technician was efficient and friendly and they did not charge me more than was fair. I am about to sign a fixed-price contract for the 3rd time. This company is solid and I trust them...my trust is not earned easily. read more

We had this company when we bought the house. We have since switched because we couldn't get them to follow through on any work we requested. We needed a new line run, they sent someone out to evaluate the job, but never got back to me with a price, I called 5 times before I gave up. The same thing happened when we needed our heater serviced. Their billing system also leaves much to be desired. They never sent bills or left delivery slips. We have moved on to a new company that is fantastic. Now all we need is for them to pick up our old tank. The pickup has been scheduled twice so far, and they didn't show up either time. I have been a customer with champagnes for a very long time . I gave always paid my bills . With that being said I do realize help is hard to come buy these days it's no reason to take advantage of those indeed. I order gas a few months ago after they left I check it was not full . I check again this past weekend and was down to ten pounds . I could not get a hold of them till Monday . Champagnes Energy purchased Ruck Oil, so when you are dealing with one, you deal with the other. I am not too happy they insist on a credit card authorization before they will process any orders, but if that is their business model, so be it. I must really compliment their service technicians. I had a water heater malfunction, called them and they sent someone quickly. He evaluated the situation and determined all that was needed was a good, thorough cleaning. (Usually landlord's responsibility - I am a tenant and usually don't have access to the tank, burner or water heater.) He could have easily, unnecessarily, replaced some parts, but this guy was honest and only did necessary work. I am happy now. I have hot water and heat again and it didn't cost a fortune. read more

They bought Rucks Oil, who I dealt with for years and never had a problem. This year I ordered 150 gallons of K1, and was delivered 170 and charged an extra $70 over what I had already paid. I called them and they said that it was a "ticket error" but they had to charge me for it. I said I wasn't happy, but I would have to live with it. I forgot about it, until a few weeks later when I got an email from their collections department saying I owed them for the additional $70. I told them they had charged me for it already, and was told that it had been refunded due to it being a "financial burden", but now they needed the money!! They never told me they were refunding it or I would have stopped them. Now they are saying they won't recharge it, they want a check. And they have been very rude. I will pay more to deal with someone else rather than deal with them again! read more
