So again, a bit of Americana. This time, Chili's. Ordered ribs, fries, corn. Um. Yes to all three. These ribs were every bit as good as stateside. The fries, super crispy. Service was pretty good. We sat at one of their roomy booths. On one TV screen is a sports channel, and the other, a movie channel. Points for free WiFi. WE ORDERED - Strawberry lemonade (single serve) - real strawberry used, too sweet so I had to dilute with water. - Lemonade (bottomless) - Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger with fries (requested crispy) - Texas trio 1 - Salmon with honey chipotle sauce over rice - overcooked and dry 2- Smoked bbq ribs over mashed potatoes - tender meat, home made chunky mashed potatoes had skin yummy. 3- Grilled chicken with garlic bbq sauce over corn black - -bean salsa topped with queso crumbles - no grill marks on chicken. Corn and bean salsa was delish. Food was served room temp. I appreciate that there are free refills on their iced tea, lemonade, soda, coffee and hot tea. For American cuisine, the food is ok and the prices are reasonable.

The huge drain pictured is where I came across a family of 6 Somalian refugees encamped just 2 days earlier. Eating, sleeping there. No amount of money I gave them was enough. It's since been roped off. So tonight, my meal was a million stars comparatively. From my Yelp perspective? 5 stars. These were some delicious, spicey Filipino/Korean seasoned crunchy tacos. Almost kimchi, almost adobo. Trust me, completely amazing. Curly fries reminded me of Arby's. The sweet tea, by Libertea. By itself would beat most teas in the south USA. Service, standard Pinoy, but that in itself is super dooper amazeballs. No way to describe it. Some put in 14 hr days $4 a shift. Basically .29 usd per/hr. Plus tips. Perspective. Take care folks. My first burrito did have 99% rice so this one had a little less than 99% so I'd say it's better than that. The chicken was good. The veggies were just like some lettuce and beans. Dips were perfect. I'm not sure if this is authentic burrito, but I'm pretty sure it's not more of rice and not so bland. I can't say I've experienced better, but I guess they can do better. I think they're a bit pricey for most people. For me, it's just right considering how I was filled with just half the burrito (or I probably just have a tiny stomach to fill). Might try other stuff from here when I'm in the area. But I hope they do something with the dryness and bland taste of the food.

That would've been okay had the rice been flavorful, but it was bland. The chicken in it was pretty good, but I wish there was just more. And where are my veggies and black beans? What burrito is this? I thought the garlic sauce would be the saving grace, but it tasted weird. Sana nag-Army Navy nalang ako. The nacho platter in terms of appearance was pretty exciting--colorful, lots of toppings, etc. But it also fell short. There was a lot of ingredients, but they tasted store-bought and pretty cheap. Again, I was looking for more black beans, jalapeno and a bit more spice. Contrary to its plating, the flavors I'm looking for in a good nacho platter was just not there. My friend ordered the Pollo meal and was also disappointed. If you're in Mega Food Hall, I suggest you skip them and jump right to the long queue at Frankie's where what you'll be paying for will be worth it.

The place always has a long line every time we pass by. Imagine our surprise when, even on a Monday, the place was packed! We ordered Silantro's Calliente Wings (Php170, 3.7USD) for our starter. Their Lucha Tacos is one of their best-sellers. We had the Medio which offers double choice of meat in 2 taco shells (option for soft or hard shell, we went for the the soft shell) for only Php95 (2USD)! We ordered the lengua and lamb. For the adventurous, there is ox stripe. But, they also have chicken and beef for those who want to play it safe. Go for the lengua, really good! I also had a Mojito (Php90, 1.9USD), one glass was definitely not enough. The only thing we didn't like about Silantro was their service. It took them quite a long time to serve our food. But, even with the waiting time, the food is worth it. I'm going back to this place with my friends. Next time, I'll be ordering their Unli Mojito! :)
