Excellent customer service. They would call back within a couple of hours to answer my questions. The lady that schedules and calls back is very nice! With my busy work schedule it was hard to set up a time because they open only Monday-Friday 8-5, closed weekends. My work schedule is also the same. First appointment, Charles came out early. He had to schedule another appointment because he had to order a part for my dishwasher. The part came within 3 days for my dishwasher. The time frame he comes are 3 hour increments. Which is kind of hard having to wait. 1st appointment, he came right at 8am. The second appointment was to install the part, I only waited a little over 1 hour before he showed up. Once he installed the piece, he waited a few minutes to make sure it wasn't leaking anymore. By night time, my dishwasher was leaking. I called after hours, their office called me right at 8am the next day to schedule an appointment for him to come back out. 3rd appointment, their office did a special appointment for us and came 30 mins. before they opened. Charles came out and worked on it for hours. He wasn't able to figure out the problem. He said we would have to buy a new dishwasher. He offered to refund us our money for the part and when we ordered a new dishwasher he will install it for us. He even hauled off the old broken one for us. For our 4th appointment, he installed the dishwasher and now it's working perfectly. Charles was very professional and friendly. My home warranty company, American Home Shield, assigned this repairman to fix my refrigerator but almost a month later, the refrigerator is still broken and can't even get a call back after leaving a few messages on their phone. No one ever answers the phone when you call them! Can't get ahold of anyone at AHS either because it's a 2hr wait time on the phone! Yesterday we woke up to a broken refrigerator. I did some research online, looking specifically for local businesses in my part of town that are rated highly with a good amount of online reviewers. This one looked good, so I called. It was before their business hours, so I left a message. After 8:00 a.m., I waited a while to see if there would be a call back, but there was not. So I called again, hoping to speak with a person, but again just had to leave a message. That is not promising. I ended up going to the Sears Home Services website to set up a service call there. They had an appointment available in the afternoon, so I took it. Their technician showed up timely, was friendly, and fixed the problem quickly. And still, a day later, nobody from Champco has called me back. This is why, if you want to stay in business, you return calls promptly. If the competition can show up and do the job before you have even called me back, then all you have done is guaranteed that I will never call you ever again. read more

Extremely upset ! Called them numerous times !! Never even got a return phone call back !!! We waited 3 weeks for them to repair our refrigerator ( the part had to be ordered )!!!! We found out that they received the part a few days later but they NEVER called us to come and replace it !!! Finally when they did come to fix it ( it ended up doing the same thing again )!!! Charles basically diagnosed the problem with our washing machine over the phone. It's an older washer, so when he came out he suggested we replace a couple other parts to keep it running and in great shape. On both occasions, he showed up at the beginning of the 3 hour window of time, was prompt, professional and so friendly. Prices are very reasonable. We have worked with this company several times now. The first three times went fairly well. They responded to our call and the technician came right out. We had to wait for parts and that seemed to take a long time (2 weeks each time). The technician then came back two more times and each time replaced the control panel of our oven. After the second replacement the oven died after just one week. The technician had said he was worried this would happen and to call them if it did. I have now called them at least a dozen times and not heard back. No one ever answers the phone, just an answering machine. My home warranty company also cannot get hold of them. Not sure what happened to this company but they no longer value customer service. If you want your appliance fixed quickly this is NOT the company for the job. read more

Just moved back to the Fresno area and needed my GE washer fixed! Called GE first and when they told me it would be 6 days before they could come out I said "No thanks"! I Jumped on Yelp and saw Champo's reviews and thought I would give them a try.... I called on a Friday afternoon and Charles came out the next morning! When he got here of course the washer was working fine! Go figure! Because it's digital and about 7-10 years old he looked up the part to tell me how much it would be if it was the main board so we could decide if it would be worth fixing if it happened again. Note: Charles says his business is officially "Champco Appliance REPAIR." Charles cured our sick electric glass stove cooktop so it's good as new!. Something clearly had 'blown out.' It took a couple days for Charles to have time to come out. They're *busy* *busy*!! (a good thing!) Upon his arrival, Charles quickly found the problem, ordered a part, returned a few business days later to replace the part, and our stove cooktop is now as good as new. Reasonable labor and part prices. He's an HONEST, good-natured, friendly fellow who's professional, who knows his appliance repair, and who works quickly & neatly. Charles' service went over the top when he offered that my husband could pay with a credit card. Not a lot of repair people who are prepared to take a credit/debit card! Great experience...Charles was prompt and professional. He quickly diagnosed the loud noise our washer was making as one that wouldn't hurt the appliance or its performance. We discussed changing some parts (without being sure that it would stop the noise) but he recommended just leaving it as is rather that scaring me into additional work for him. Champco returned my call promptly, made an appointment that was convenient for me, actually arrived at the promised time, and quickly and thoroughly diagnosed my dishwasher problem. They ordered the necessary part which arrived when they said it would, and returned to complete the repair quickly, thoroughly, and completely. And Charles, the Champco tech, took a little extra time to make sure that all the drain hoses were set properly and that everything was working just as it should. Plus he tells me that the new part is stronger than the original and should last longer. Bonus! And the dishwasher has stayed fixed for several months now, no recurrence of the problem. Charles was quiet and efficient, but more than willing to answer any questions and explain what was happening and seemed to have a lot of knowledge and experience. My 2-year old Samsung French door refrigerator was leaking water out of the back so I found Champco on Yelp & Angie's List. Back in mid July our dryer was not turning on. I contacted this company based on the reviews. The dryer knob was cracked and was told to go and get another at a parts store (would be less expensive and quicker than if he was to come back). There was also anther issue that was tended too and was told the reasoning behind it. I was not charged a dime and was guided where to go and the exact part # to attain. I learned of Champco through my daughter. Charles had diagnosed a portable dishwasher problem and informed her it would cost too much to repair and would not be worth it. I felt that not many repairmen would admit that to a customer so we had him come and repair my refrigerator ice maker. He evaluated the problem, ordered the parts, and came back within a reasonable amount of time to fix it. He is courteous and prompt. I hardly ever do reviews but I felt I needed to on this company. I called him the first week of December (7) to fix a clothes dryer. He came out the next day and diagnose the problem and said he needed to order a part. He told me when the part comes in he would call me and set up another appointment to repair it. He said it would probably take a couple of weeks. I did not hear back from him by the first of January so I called him and left a message to call me. He did call back that evening and said the part would be here in two days and told me he would call me to set up an appointment. He never called. I tried calling again on Thursday January 14 and told him if he did not call me back by Monday January 18 by the end of the business day I was going to assume he was not going to fix my dryer and I would find another company. He never called back. All he had to do is communicate with me. If he was overly busy I would of understood and given more time but he wouldn't even call me back. Wow! Great husband-wife team, from the moment I called to request an appointment to Charles arriving at my house and doing the job was absolutely perfect. He got there during the promised time and was very personable and honest. Knowing I had my children home he was okay with me tending to them and checking with him about my washing machine, ended up being a sock stuck in my machine which was great to hear, husband and I were prepared for the worst.
