We went there not knowing exactly what we needed but had measurements and photos of the sink and accessories we were looking to replace. Amir clearly knew were looking for a sink mounted from bottom and all new parts. He sold us a heavy cast iron. sink that is made for top mount and Tile, we have granite he saw in the photos and knew that. When the person showed up to install it told us this is not the sink for our application. We tried to return it for un-exchange he said NO Return and no Refund. The sticker on the sink is dated 02/2023 so it was not special order either. Absolutely terrible I would never go back we had to buy another sink elsewhere and are stuck with his old inventory. read more

So, we spent one day looking for bath tubs for an addition we're building at our house. Started at Lowe's and Home Depot. Nothing special at either place, just little run of the mill tubs. I want a soak-y tub. Not with jets, but with a nice slant to the back. (You know, grab a good book and fill up the tub kind of comfort). Next we went to Standard Brands right near our house. Bummer, the guy from the showroom was out with Covid and no one could go in there yet. (Hope he's all better by now and doing good). Where to go next? We drove out to Ferguson and a girl showed us a pic of a tub that I really liked. A bit pricey though, so we decided to see if there was anything else out there. We headed to Fresno Distributing and the super nice guy there showed us the exact same tub we liked at Ferguson. And it was $400 less! He told us it would take up to 12 weeks for the tub to come in if we ordered it then. Perfect! All we needed that day was to know where the rough plumbing needed to be placed before the foundation of the addition could be put in. We're so glad we checked out just one more place. Shopping around for an apron sink can require a 3-4 week wait time, but not through Fresno Distributing. Amir in the showroom and the owner whose name I did not get, offered great customer service. Aside from these two, I was offered help by the service person in the plumbing department and the gentleman in the warehouse. I will definitely support this local business in the future. If there was a way to give 5 NEGATIVE stars I would. Nearly 3 years ago I made a mistake and ordered a stack washer and dryer. The mistake was getting a gas dryer. Found out after it was delivered, there wasn't a gas line in place to install. Unfortunately the box it came in was destroyed. I ordered the same thing over again but this time with an electric dryer. Fresno Distributing said they couldn't refund the first one because of the lack of a box. They said they would sell it and give us our money back after it was sold. Did I mention how long ago this transaction happened. Fresno Distributing are crooks. They have HORRIBLE customer service. I work for a manufacturer of HVAC material and WE bend over backwards for our customers. Do yourself a favor go to Central Distributing. They have a great showroom, excellent customer service and they are the same price or better than Fresno D. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I went in on a Saturday to buy a bath room exhaust fan. I decided to skip the big box stores and OSH because I had believed that Fresno D had higher end equipment. We got there about 15 minutes before closing and went to the service counter. The gentleman at the counter, probably in his late 60s with neatly groomed salt and pepper hair told us "out of hand" that the bath room fans we on the show room. We spent the next 5 minutes wondering the show room to locate the bath room fans. There were none to be found. I decided to around the side and give the parts counter another try. The salesman I had seen before was no where to be found. We located another salesman in the electric department and he got us a replacement motor for the fan. i would give Fresno D a better score, but the laziness of their first employee was disheartening. read more

My wife and I walked in at 11 AM this morning, a Saturday, and we were the only customers there. Despite this, the man working the showroom simply said "Let me know if you have any questions" as he walked by without making eye-contact. He then sat down at the computer and completely ignored us. We did have questions, but his body language practically screamed "DON'T BOTHER ME!" We are in the middle of a down-to-the-studs kitchen remodel and we need to make some very serious, very big-ticket purchases. I usually go to home Depot for my plumbing supplies but I was working a block away so I figured it will save me 20 min. The staff was helpful for what I needed to get. But the price........ I figure I'm not a plumbing contractor so I'll get retail maybe 10% more than I pay at Depot, NO. I bought 1 abs fitting at Depot it is less than $9, at Fresno d $18.50. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I walked in on a saturday morning and was immediately greeted by several employees. I was looking for a ceiling fan and ended up working with a delightful young man named Larry. fresno distributing, aka fresno d, has always been a little odd to me. i liked the idea of supporting local businesses, but as a distributor type store i found it a bit off putting as a customer. the show room seems like an afterthought, and if i want to get a new faucet or whatever, i probably would hit up the easy display and multiple options of lowes. around the fourth of july, we had an issue with our shower. the divertor, which allows the change from bath to shower to happen, wasn't working properly. we also had a long-time leak on our cold water handle, but that was a nagging concern and had their not been a problem with the divertor i would have let it keep dripping. my go - to spot for home repairs is fresno ag, so i headed over there. they had the right parts to fix my problems, and things were reasonably priced. while we were there, we inquired about other handles for our price pfister, 1970's looking set up. unfortunately, for the set up we had there were only a few, equally ugly options. on our way home, we decided to pop in at fresno d, and see if they had other options. we spoke with one of the parts guys, discussed what we had, and he let us know a few options. eventually, we realized that we could switch out the stems behind the handles, and found these real sweet, sleek brushed nickel handles. we placed an order and started waiting. now, it's a little scary that their paperwork says that orders can take up to three months to come in, but they told us that it should be in three or four weeks. after just about a month, our new handles and parts were in. today, i drove over to pick up the parts. the original guy we worked in wasn't in (i think he was on lunch break) but that wasn't a big deal because we were just picking up a unit. i got my box, and headed out. this is where things went wonky. i looked at what i had, and it was only a two handle set up, according to the box. i popped the box open, and while they were the right two handles, we were missing the third. i went back in, and waited to be helped. after a minute or so, i was able to explain my issue to someone, and he began to investigate. he looked up the faucets and what not in their books, and what we wanted (finish wise) didn't come in a three handle. was i going to be stuck with two sweet handles, and one ugly one? the guy i worked with, whose name i sadly didn't catch, was amazing. essentially, he found all the appropriate pieces from other sets or packages. all of the parts. and, even more cool, they did it for free. i was figuring that i would have to shell out for the additional stuff. i wouldn't have been stoked about that, but i would have had my parts. nope, they said that because there was a miscommunication they were going to give me the parts i needed since i'd already bought the other parts. freaking awesome. thanks a ton, fresno d. you may not have all the things that lowes, home depot or even fresno ag have, but you do your thing well. and, your customer service is awesome - seriously, i was able to watch several customers treated very well, and the employees go out of their way to figure out people's needs/problems and do their best to help. great work. read more

I went to Fresno D yesterday, the last time I was there about 2 years ago their service was bad, but yesterday was really bad. The employees don't care about their customers. I stood there for 20 minutes before they even said they would help me, I then waited another 5 minutes. The sad thing is my Dad knows Ronnie and went there for years. I'm a little torn, first, I called the day before, on hold, transferred, on hold, 3-4 minutes, back to the operator, then to the right department finally. Bad start. Then I talk to someone who seems to care less whether they can help me or not, I have to ask all the questions rather than receive suggestions, but it turns out they do have the item I need, great, and it's cheap. Next day I drive over, go in the store, into the back, no one acknowledges me, finally someone asks if I need something, I tell him the item, he goes to search, comes back, says, nope, not in stock. I tell him I called the night before and it was here, so he goes to look again. Enter employee 2, the one I spoke with the night before, I think, and they come up with a similar item that will work, still cheap, but not exactly the same. I decide I should get a few other small electrical odds and ends, J box, connectors etc, guy goes to find them all one at a time (not sure why the little stuff isn't just in some bins to save everyone some time). Finally got all the parts, the receipt is written up by hand, then the card is taken to be swiped in the other room (not the most secure method these days), and I'm on my way with no offer for help with my stuff and no carts or anything around to help me out. Install the item, it works, but appears to not work properly, going to have to uninstall and take it back and try another, if they happen to have another in stock anyhow. So, not a great first impression other than the price and the harder to find items. read more

We used the authorized service agent "Bauman's Appliance & A/C" that Fresno Distributing recommended. Please see attached photos. Our dish drawer had a leak and need a new heating element. It now has this, a new controller, was installed incorrectly (the top drawer is on bottom and bottom on top); no longer closes correctly, it sounds like metal on metal when opening it and the bottom drawer when opened does not feel like it is even on the tracks as it shakes. There are multiple scratches and paint missing and it was left dirty.He also cracked the shell of the top drawer of the washer... Not to mention that this company told us not to even plug it in and use it for 24 hours after they said it was repaired. For the amount of money spent on this dishwasher I would expect the same level of service agent. I am now finding out per the Better Business Bureau they have a D- rating out of A-F. I would like to know why this company would recommend Bauman's appliance?? Due to the use of this company I could have bought a new dishwasher in what I have/will spent in repairs and yet may go on to have to buy a new dishwasher other than Fisher & Paykel if this is the level of what I can expect and I as I do not feel this is safe to use if I "cannot plug it in" per the agents request. Went in today to shop for a shower head and buy a couple of plumbing items. We were not greeted when we walked in. We walked around for at least 20 minutes, no one offered us any assistance. There were 4-6 employees talking around the counters the entire time, with only 1 other customer. I asked for a price on a fixture, I was given the price and offered no other assistance. I went to the plumbing counter, asked for the pieces I needed, and was able to ask a few questions, bought it for $3 and left. The shower head I wanted to buy was going to be close to $800, but I'll go elsewhere to buy it. read more

Fresno D is a great place to go if you know what you are looking for. I have gotten many items there, first for our home years ago, later for repairs and parts, and now for a kitchen remodel. Every time I have found I save a considerable amount of money and if you make time for an appointment, you get great service. I went to other showrooms to look for ideas and wound up coming back and placing orders at Fresno D. I am still waiting for my remodel items so time will tell. That said, I have found it a good place to do business with provided you are a bit patient. read more

Worse customer service. trying to get information about ETA for Kohler sink reordered that was broken. Showroom person never calls you back when he says he will. Tells me he is too busy he could not even take his lunch til later. When you call back in a week when they told you ETA of sink Is shipping that week and the person says it should be in next week. I call back a week later and was reprimanded by the ordering person says, " I just spoke to you this week and I told you I would call you when they are in!" The same sink is one week ETA from ordering date at Home Depot online site. No returns on special orders Called Kohler directly and told only takes 14 business days to do special orders and ships from Wisconsin. I have been waiting now for 6 weeks. So don't buy anything from this company even if the price is better. It is not worth the headache and rudeness. read more

Halfway through our discussion, she even stopped to talk to another customer for an extended length of time like I was not even there. Customer service is so important. I wonder what happened to that! I wanted to look for a cooktop and I saw an ad in the Fresno bee for an event today. Perfect, I thought. As I walked from the parking lot to the door, there was a guy sitting in the parking lot. I assumed he was there to take care of sales of marked down merchandise that was spread all over the front of the store on the ground. There was a tent and lots of boxes and tables set up and the one guy sitting in his chair. I wasn't interested in old merchandise. He did not greet me as I walked past. He just stared. OK, so I walk into the front door and see a roll of people talking to customer service at the big desk. Granted, it should be a busy day because it was advertised in the newspaper. They had a cake and drinks in the middle of the show room, but it really didn't look that busy. I decided to walk around the kitchen appliance area and look myself, since no one said hello or indicated that they wanted to help me. I walked around that show room at least eight times around and around, and not one worker said a word to me. There were about 4 to 5 cooktops on display. The show room was very small. I suppose there are more things to look at in catalogs, but I didn't see any. I wasn't offered any. No one looked up from their job. After 10 minutes, I felt as if I had turned invisible. I headed for the door, and no one stopped me. I passed by the same guy in the parking lot sitting on his chair, and also did not get any acknowledgment. I was ready to go there and spend some money. My glass cook top cracked. It would be a good $1700-$2300 to replace. Oh well, apparently they don't want my money. That was a very disappointing experience and I drove across town from Herndon to go check it out. Never again, sorry. read more
