STAY AWAY 1. DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT. My cleaning was delayed because they didn't have working water. 2. SHODDY DENTAL SERVICE. Cleaning took a fraction of the time that other dentists have taken. 3. SLOW. It took 10 days to get a response to my request for copies of my x-rays. Finally, they responded with a lo-res scan of a print-out. When I saw this problem, and explained that I wanted a hi-res digital image, I waited a week and never got a reply. 4. DENTIST EXTREMELY RUDE. "I don't care". This is a direct quote from Champion, among others, when I telephoned trying to get the hi-res digital image; or at least understand the problem. I was ready to forgive everything else, but not this. The most unprofessional dental office I have ever been to. It was a summer day when I went in for a routine cleaning. The receptionist,Leoni, is the utmost unprofessional, loud, and obnoxious lady. She made me & my husband wait for over two hours. Saying that they are over booked. The office was filthy, unprofessional & hot. No air conditioning in July. I waited because my teeth are important to me & my time is valuable. I had to rearrange my schedule & my husband's to see the dentist. So we waited, waited, waited & waited. The receptionist, Leoni, took Full Mouth xrays of both me & my husband. After all the waiting I went into see Dr. Innabi, the dentist, he looked at xrays and said looks great. Then checked in my mouth and started counting. After I asked what are you counting, he replied "Cavities". He told me I had eight cavities and said I need to tend to them asap. I told him I went to the dentist in February ( 6 months ago) and had no cavities. I was stunned. I went to the desk and Leoni, the rude receptionist said come nx wk and start your treatment otherwise you will regret it.I made the appointment. She took a copay, whcih I was so stunned about the cavities, that I forgot I had NO copay. So my husband decided not to see the dentist based on my prognosis. We left. I went home and called the office after I processed all the negative dentist's report. My insurance said I could have a second opinion. I called Leoni and told her what I was planning. She screamed at me and said I was making a mistake. I told her I will be in for the Full Mouth Xrays and I hung up. Two days later, I went in for the xrays to bring to my new dentist, Leoni was nasty and screamed at me to sit down. I told her if she speaks to me like that I will get the police. I waited and got only two xerox copies of both mine & my husband's xrays. This place is a complete horrible place!!! I called my dental insurance and told them what happened so that no one else has to ever go through this. Update: I NEVER HAD ANY CAVITIES. I went to a new dental office and was extremely pleased. The office seemed clean, no issues there. When i made an appointment, I told the receptionist that part of a very old filling fell out, and would like tonget it replaced. The day of my appointment I come in, and wait 4 hours (not exaggerating) until I was taken - this was not an emergency appointment, since I waited over a week for it. While I was waiting, I saw the dentist's young daughter going in and out of the exam room while her father was working; she was constantly nagging him. The same thing happened to me...very unprofessional. I do salute him for keeping his anger in control, because she seemed like she had 0 discipline and respect for him. Anyways, after I was brought in the exam room, I received a cleaning (which I did not ask for, remember, I called for a particular and specific issue) and was told that he cannot replace my filling, and told me I need a crown. I did not fall for his bs, and I knew it was bs considering how the practice was being run. Maybe it wasn't BS, maybe he is just not a good dentist to be able to tell if I really needed a crown. This is the caveat - the same day, I went to a different dentist and had my filling replaced with absolutely no concern or problem. This is a very shady practice and denitst. Made a new patient appt for my son & I that was cancelled from a Mon to Fri of same wk because dentist had an emergency. Had to take my son somewhere else as he was experiencing discomfort from a wisdom that had to be pulled. Was confirmed on Thurs prior to appt Fri. I show up Fri at 8:45 for 9am appt & door locked. Knocked & could hear voices within office, yet no one opened door. I get a phone call at 8:50 to cancel appt as I was standing outside their door. Who does that? If you ever want to be ripped off without even seeing the prices for what you are paying, be waiting a half a day to be helped, then make X-rays by receptionist... which you would never see and never find out what condition of your teeth were and then receive a very lousy service in between doctor's chatting with his assistant and being absolutely not interested in fixing your teeth, telling you all lies and pressing on you to do procedures which not need to be done, just to charge you more, and finally you have to find another doctor who will fix you - please go to Dr. Derek Champion!!!!! I called Champion Dental because I was experiencing mind numbing tooth pain and needed a dentist close to home. Dr. Champion returned my call immediately and we scheduled an appointment the next morning. When I arrived, his staff made sure I was well taken care of. I had tons of anxiety and everyone put me at ease. We looked at my X-rays together and came to the obvious conclusion: root canal! His hygienist joked about the procedure being similar to a quick cavity fix ... She was right! Root canals suck, but Dr. Champion kept me calm and made the procedure pain/anxiety free. I highly recommend his office if you're looking for an experienced, honest, and patient dentist! (Side note: his office was very clean and I was not kept waiting.) read more

I would never recommend this dentist to anyone, the reception is ditsy - she misplaced my insurance card and told me she had already given it back to me, she was responsible for taking my x-rays and she messed up the whole first set and the dentist instructed her to re-do them - I was angry I had to be subjected to x rays twice! If she is unqualified & untrained then she should not have responsibilities outside of a receptionist. I scheduled and appointment for a cleaning, the dentist was curt and rushed and did not sit down long enough to talk with me as a patient or as a human being who needs help. He was quick to say you need x,y and z and it will cost 2,000.00 dollars - how would you like to pay?? We will run a credit check to see if you're eligible for (predatory) dental insurance (that will put your into debt with high % rates) what is your social security number??? After I told him I cannot afford 2,000 all at once, he just got up and as he was walking away, I said - "What about the cleaning I scheduled for today?" (which my insurance did cover) He told me to make another appointment for two weeks. I was so upset I was in tears walking out. He seemed distracted and more interested in flirting with his assistant. I came across this as I was looking for a new dentist. I was looking for a new dentist because I had such a bad experience at Champion. Setting aside the fact that first time I went, Dr. Champion and I were the only two people in the office. And also not taking into account that the second time I went my appointment time was double booked and we were both kept waiting because Dr. Champion was late. The thing that really put me off was how rude this dentist was. The physical attribute I am complimented most on is my smile. My teeth are healthier and straighter than average. But this didn't stop Dr. Champion from asking me at least 3 times during each of my two visits if I was interested in invisalign braces. On my most recent visit, after I declined invisalign for a third time, he actually said to me "So you like the gap in your teeth?" and then proceeded to ask me a fourth time before I left the office. Don't try to make me feel bad about myself so you can pad your pockets. You won't be seeing me again. read more

Horrible experience! Let me start by saying, I don't complain. I have never written a nasty review on any website. I am making the time to write this because I has such a bad experience. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment. I completed the paperwork within five minutes. The receptionist who could barely read completely misspelled my name and when she called the insurance company to verify my insurance, she misread my name and birthdate. I had to correct every answer she gave the insurance company. After waiting for an hour, the dental hygienist who smelled like cigarettes invited me into a room where she was rude and was playing offensive and loud rap music. She of course rapped along while doing my x-rays. She then criticized my hand-writing and was rude to my baby. After waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes from my scheduled appointment, the dentist came in and said he was going to grab lunch and come back. I reminded him that I had been waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes. He did not only did not apologize, he was rude and said he had not had a break in six hours. I asked why he scheduled me for a time when he clearly needed to take a break. I never got my teeth cleaned because I was going to be late for my next appointment and doubted the dentist's abilities after my experience with the receptionist and hygienist. Let me also point out that the dentist saw me waiting the entire time and never apologized for running late. If he came out and explained he would be an hour late, I could have called my doctor to see if they could wait. None of the staff explained that they knew he would leave me waiting for up to two hours before seeing me even though all of them knew it. They told me this as I was leaving. My husband did have his teeth cleaned there and had a similar experience with the receptionist and hygienist. He also said that the dentist was not thorough during the cleaning and he would not go back there. read more

Due to new insurance coverage, I chose to try this practice after reviewing their website. They should be sued for false advertising! The office was small, dirty and smelled unsanitary. Appointments were booked for 15 minute slots so normal wait time seemed to be an hour. The staff was very rude and unprofessional. I saw no sign of hands or equipment being cleaned between uses and patients. The cleaning I received was not thorough. I will never go there again. If there is a Dr. Champion (the dentist I saw was not even mentioned on the website), he should be ashamed of himself. read more
