I found this location through google and my decision to book an appointment solely came from the reviews and I am so happy it worked out. I have no regrets. From booking an appointment with the lady at the front desk who was very welcoming and understanding when it came to the financial portion of the visit. To Ashley who handled my deep cleaning and was extremely informative and made me feel very comfortable with every step. She didn't make feel embarrassed or insecure about the upkeep or lack there of with my teeth. And finally Dr. D... he was like the Superman of Dentists. He spoke so fluent and confident in the plan for my future procedures and he spoke in terms and examples that were easy to understand. He was clear and explained every step of the way and it all made sense. I was actually pretty shocked at how down to earth he was. Dr. D and his staff took away any fear or feeling of being overwhelmed which was such a good way to start what I now confirm to be an ongoing relationship because they've just signed on a new patient. At that time, the dentist filed one of my teeth, and filled another tooth where the filling cracked and came out.  On this last visit, I was supposed to have a cleaning. I saw the dentist. He performed the cleaning, and then informed me that I needed 3 fillings, or I could come back later for them. I'd already been to this dentist twice in a two month period. I drove an hour to see this dentist, because I had a positive experience the first time. I didn't want to drive another two hours here and back for another visit, so I had them complete the 3 fillings while I was there.  I was billed $1335 when I was in the office. I was shocked. I have never had a dental bill until I started coming to this practice. My insurance has covered all cleanings and fillings. I asked the office staff why it was so high and she said that the bill was correct and that was my total for the day.  It's been almost two weeks since my visit. I let the office know I was still in pain from my visit; my teeth have hurt since my last dentist visit at their office. Before I went there, I was not in any pain. When I informed them I was still in pain from my visit, the office staff yelled at me and said "We didn't work on that tooth!" When in fact, I informed her the right side of my mouth has been in pain, since I was in the office and it has been very difficult for me to eat on that side. I waited to see if it was going to get better, but it hasn't. I would not recommend this office at all.

He is defensive. As another reviewer mentioned he is very impressed by and will constantly mention his famous or wealthy patients. (Who really cares?) . His materials and equipment are outdated. His procedures are extremely painful. Because I prepaid for a lot of work that was in partial stages of completion, and even though I was terrified to continue with him, I stayed and finished the work and suffered with banged up ripped gums and traumatized mouth tissues from excessive novacaine administered with huge needles repeatedly jammed into my mouth that took up to 40 minutes each time to numb me. Each impression for temporary crowns burned my gums and I had to wait weeks to heal before the next torture session in Dr. haber's chair could continue. The only thing Dr. Haber did not do was waterboard me. And, dr. Haber had a the unmitigated gall to ask me to bring the molds back and forth to the lab 10 blocks away so he didn't have to pay for a messenger service. Dr. Haber also has a most interesting mania. He blames you, the patient for the pain he inflicts. Now that I have started seeing another dentist, I realize just how atrocious Dr Haber is. Technology has changed and the procedures that dr. Haber performs can be done faster, more efficiently and without pain, by professionals who actually are concerned with their patients' comfort and wellbeing. I truly apologize for being so mean, but I hope I can help just one person avoid the unnecessary pain, the misery and the humiliation by staying away from Dr. Haber. . I stopped going to her because she made going to the dentist a living hell. Each experience was traumatic. According to Google, this location is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Thank god. This place should have never been open to begin with and Dr. Juliet Murphy was terrible. She now has an office in Rego Park somewhere, but honestly, just avoid her at all costs. Since my first visit with her, she gave such an attitude. With every procedure I had done, she manhandled me every single time. I understand that some procedures require a lot of pressure to really get in there, but the way she went about each out was horrendous. She even once said that my "teeth were too strong" and that I need to lay off the calcium because doing these procedures were tough. And no, she wasn't joking. What dentist finds strong teeth a problem? How does that even make sense? Allllllll of the work I got done from her years ago, now has to be re-done. I went to 3 different dentists since then and each one said that she did a terrible job. She gave me 2 root canals and both required crowns. But because she did not do a thorough job on removing all the infected parts, both teeth became infected and required extractions later down the road. Complete waste of time and money.

The ego of the dentists are so out there that you feel so bad about yourself. I'm not sure if the lidocaine wasn't strong enough or she injected it in the wrong area. Painful filling attempt (no local anestesia applied) by Dr. MK…read moreWebsite dental services explanation posted are not honored (false advertising) Appointment date 12/12/2021 (See all pictures enclosed) Here are the details shared on the less than satisfactory service with the technicals skills that Dr. MK showed towards my dental needs. a) Did not take the time to introduce herself and explained to me how her dentistry experience could address my dental emergency walking appointment (lower right third mollar lingual part wall of the tooth completely came off) b) Her dental clinic receptionist is also her dental assistant (rather unusual situation) (no complaints about her); brought me in to take X-rays of the whole interior of my mouth (instead of focusing on the main problem related to the visit). c) Finally when the dr. MK walks in (no introduction to break the ice), reviews my intake form in less than 30seconds, asked me about my medications, looked at my x-rays and expressed that everything looked good?????? showing no idea what I had done the appointment for. d) After explaining to her in a detailed and professional manner what my dental emergency was and briefly asking her what my anestesia options were/ she proceded right away to attempt to do a restoration filling in the affected area. No local anestesia was applied "because she did not have the kind I had commented to her that previous dentists had used". e) Although she witnessed how sensitive the working area was, she poorly attempted to restore the broken tooth. f) I started to bleed while she complained that my tongue was moving too much not allowing her to get the job done. Showed no empathy and respect to working in a professional matter. And finally yanked out the poorly done piece of filling when my reaction to the lack of finesse in her work was evident. g) Finally out of previous dental work done in the past under the same circumstances that my mollar was showing, it was me that decided to take the role of a conscious and professional dentist would have taken by (discussing the condition on the dental peace and options available to resolve the emergency issue). Due to the non existing lingual exterior wall on my tooth it was extremely challenging to bond any filling as an alternative way previously advised from other dentist in the past "a root canal and a crown needed to be done". h) requested all the X-rays done to be mailed to my email address due to the fact that I need them for a new dentist to handle my emergency dental needs in a more compassionate and professional way. Place a detailed complaint on my terrible experience with the quality of work this doctor rendered to me and to my surprise this is what the insurance sent me a replied on the doctor's behalf (see pic enclosed). This only proofs that this doctor over embellished her services advertised in the website contrasting her careless habits with her poor professional practice shown to selected"new patients". Please see all the pictures enclosed to this review taken from the dental clinic page that over embellishes her poor technical and educational skills with unrealistic services that she is not able to provide. I have also included the resolution that my insurance provided related to the complaint placed on the poor dental service rendered by this doctor. As you can realize the response on behalf of the clinic only hides the facts here shared. X-rays were taken, she poorly attempted to do a filling with no previous explanation and failed to do so, leaving me with bleeding gum and feeling worst compare to the way originally I was feeling when I walked in to the clinic appointment. I had a lot of questions for everybody, and not one person I interacted with had a problem answering everything I needed to know. I was in great hands and even though I've moved an hour half south now, I might just make the drive anyway and continue going to Life Smile. Btw, they have a TV on the ceiling for you to watch while they're doing their thing. It's a great distraction.
