Where has this place been all my life? My morning struggles often include grabbing something tasty, filling yet healthy. I recently moved back to the College Park vicinity and this is on my route to work. After reading yelp reviews I gave it a try this morning and wow... I ordered the platter special for $5.75 which includes eggs, home fries, toast and your choice of bacon, ham or sausage. Since I do not eat pork I told them to hold the meat. They were nice enough to give me extra egg. They did have turkey bacon but it's $1.50 extra. I can definitely live without the nitrites in the meat. Very filling! Awesome price and portion size. Has a home style taste and you can see them cooking the food behind the counter. Love it! This place sure beats ordering into iHop and picking up a $11.50 omelette with 1 side. Never again!

Stopped in this morning for the first time for breakfast. I ordered the steak and cheese sub with home fries. Service could improve.

My first time here and I'm totally disappointed with the service I received. The man at the register acted as if he couldn't be bothered to answer my questions about the menu. Since I was on my way home to work (long story), I decided to get something to eat, because I wouldn't have time to cook breakfast. Needless to say, I came home and added cheese, onions and bell peppers oh and some seasoning. He started taking the orders from the guys behind me before he was finished with my orders. I don't think I'll be back.

Place I have pasted hundreds of times but never stopped! Good local place to go for a fast breakfast! Husband and wife that own the place extremely nice. Good food and fast service. I had The breakfast platter for six dollars. Eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast

I have been patronizing Champion Grill since my high school days. Now that I live in DC, I only come on Saturday mornings to grab a DELICIOUS steak, egg & cheese sub after running errands in the area. While waiting I always check out what the other patrons are eating amd their food always looks so good! I have tried the French toast with scrambled eggs before and it was excellent but I generally stick to my sub as it is still warm by the time I make it back home. Don't let the outdated appearance sway you from giving CG a try!

Food is amazing! The breakfast is better than IHOPs . The bacon was sweet and not salty like your typical breakfast palaces. The eggs were perfect . You would be surprised how many breakfast places that have failed to do the eggs justice . Ordered the philly cheese steak as well, since it came highly recommended by a regular customer. The philly cheese steak did philly justice . Will recommend for your breakfast feast and your lunch hunger !!!!

Overall good. The meat isn't as season as I'm used to and i would like the peppers and onions sauteed more. Very fresh

Nice hole in the wall restaurant with friendly staff. Came in for breakfast but if I'm in the area I would definitely try the lunch options.

Great food and service. Would have given it a 5. But paper plates and plastic ware keep it from earning a 5.

However, I would say that the music plays from a little Bluetooth on the corner of the restaurant and it's not the greatest quality, would cut in and out, and it was just blaring way too loud, making it hard to have regular conversations. Service wasn't too bad overall. There was only one weight staff who had all the tables in the restaurant which made her spread out pretty thin. But we wouldn't get regular refills or Water and took so long to get water (waiting up to 20 min to try to get her attention) and at the end of our time together she finally gave us a pitcher of Water, but a little late as we're most done. Also, it took a while to get basic things we had ordered coffee but either she forgot to bring us coffee or she didn't ring it in and we weren't able to get it until after our food was delivered. So service, while she was friendly and kind, our service was definitely subpar. Hopefully this wasn't bc she had automatic tip bc our party was so large for her lack of service. 1/5 for service The food was amazing for the most part. I had gotten the salmon BLT and it was moist and tender with good flavor and seasoning, and the bread had a great texture and flavor to it as well. The bacon was nice and smoky and the sauce that was paired with it made it great. The hashbrowns were so crispy and seasoned with great flavor and salt! This was a winner! 4.5/5 Yeah, I got a bunch of other dishes, but I only tried small bites here and there of other people stuff. What I would say, is that the Cajun pasta shrimp was cooked perfectly and was tender and had great flavor! And that sauce was amazing! The sausage I tried wasn't the best but decent! We got biscuits and wings as appetizers, and the wings were great, good flavor, good crunch, and a decent size. However, there needs to be more wings in the order for the price. The hot honey sauce as good! 4/5 The biscuits were pretty moist and had a great texture and consistency, You get two for the order! 4/5 Overall, the food is pretty amazing. However, the service was pretty bad. Maybe this was a one off but just prepared for a long waits for everything from water to getting a drink order.

Honestly, there was no flavor in this dish at all. None on the Brisket, potatoes or sauce. With a bit of seasoning, this would be really good. The food was hot and fresh. I'll visit again when i'm in the area.

The highlight of the night was the pistachio gelato, which was absolutely delicious and easily the best thing we ordered.
