Breakfast platter - eggs, potatoes, turkey sausage and toast Also French toast with a side of bacon
    Marce D.

Stopped in late at night for the first time in about a decade, and it definitely felt nostalgic being back. The food was still solid. I ordered a platter with eggs, potatoes, turkey sausage, and toast -- good portion size and everything tasted fine. My friend had the French toast and mentioned it was a little soggy. It was pretty busy for late night, and they seemed short-staffed -- only one waitress handling most of the tables. Because of that, service was a bit slow. We didn't wait to be seated, but there was a noticeable delay before we could pay since we had to wait for the waitress to ring us up while she was helping a larger party. Overall, a decent late-night diner spot with good portions and a nostalgic feel -- just expect a bit of a wait when it's busy.

    Meatloaf Dinner

Every single time I had an intention to come to this diner, there was always a wait and the counter was full up. I have no idea how fortunate I was going to be recently on a Saturday to get a counter seat and finally partake in this establishment. I was actually excited and said the groceries I had just purchased can wait to make it home. This place is 24 hours and I feel like constantly packed. It is noisy, it is greasy, it is delicious. I'm always down for a diner meatloaf, and I'm always down for just the diner vibe. I walked in, saw and empty seat at the counter, asked the lady sitting next to the seat if the seat was taken (it was not), then sat down. After I got settled, I was took the place in. Compact, noisy, all the smells. Then the server showed up, handed me a menu and got me napkins, silverware, and a straw. She then apologized for not welcoming me and asking how I was. Girl, I see you're busy, no need to apologize, gimme that menu and we will get this dance started. After looking over the menu, which I really didn't need to do since I already knew what I was getting, I was ready to place my order. I went with the Meatloaf dinner which come with your choice of two sides. My sides were mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. I also ordered a side salad to start the meal. Oi! If I would have known how big the side salad was, I would have forgone that, it was huge. The salad consisted of a mix between iceberg and mixed greens (heavy on the iceberg). Basically a whole tomato quartered, red onions, green peppers, and some big chunks of cucumber. After cutting it up, adding the dressing, dashing some pepper I finally dig in. This is a hefty salad that can be a messy eat. Knowing that I had the dinner coming, I had to stop eating the salad because not all this food was going to fit. Then the meatloaf shows up. I think at this point I have to say that if you sit at the counter (and most places in here) you can see the action of cooking the food. I watched as they were approaching with my platter and there was some back and forth. They were worried that I was going to ask to have the mac and cheese on another plate. See it was in a bowl and they placed the bowl on the plate. I did not care either way, just gimme. I want to say, in all my stops at diners, I have never had a meatloaf like this. They took the time to toss it on the gridle before plopping it on a plate. I was not expecting this, nor how good the crisp was on it. The mashed potatoes looked like typical diner potatoes. Both were covered with brown gravy and a nice compliment I might saw. This mac and cheese...very cheesy. I mean cheese stretch worthy mac and cheese. Each bite was cheese heavy and I was not mad about that. When I was finished, and full beyond capacity. it was time to go. Paying is easy, just go to the register, tell them what seat you were in, and pay. Such a good experience, will be back and eye it up when it's not packed.

We don't live too far from College Park Diner and finally had a chance to go today. Before we dive into the issue, I have to talk about how good the service was. Our server was excellent! First, the experience started with a crowded parking lot at 10 on a Wednesday morning. There was zero parking. A little concerning, but also means it's a great local spot right? I ran in to ask where to park, saw it was fairly empty... and saw signs to not park next door at American legion. I was told to park at the hotel next door. That's totally fine, except as we were sitting there we realized the entire parking lot had been taken up by Sardi's employees. So that's a little frustrating. For drinks, I had an apple juice (that was 5.25!?) and my boyfriend a coffee. Onto the food. I ordered what College Park Diner is known for - the chipped beef and gravy, over biscuits. My boyfriend ordered the country fried steak. My food was unbelievably salty. Like so salty I picked out the beef (it was corned beef so that didn't help with the salt) and ate the biscuits and gravy. The hash browns were ok. My boyfriend said his food was fine - he was surprised that his country fried steak was chicken (or at least he thought it was). Sadly, we'll probably try another spot next time we want to grab breakfast!

I just love this dinner. The staff is good and treat you like family the food is really good, the price is good for a family, and over all. I been going to the real dinner in the area for 23yrs now . Come and join. Tony D

Very good old school diner. If you are looking for classic Diner food, this is the place. Patty melt? Check. Open face sandwich? Check. Good coffee? Check. Breakfast any time? Check. Bacon on the grill, eggs in a carbon steel skillet? Check . Liver and onions? Check. And that's what I had. Thin slices just cooked through. Gravy was my only gripe, gummy and short on flavor. Hash browns had those special crisp ends and tender centers. On Route 1 about a mile inside the Beltway, big parking lot. L-shaped space, clean men's room to the left and women (as always) right. It was a bit of a surprise to hear Spanish behind the counter, but cordial service was in fluent English. Generous portions and moderate prices. When the trend gets old and you just need to get back to the roots of comfort food, you won't go wrong here. Solid four stars.

Hashbrowns on both plates cold. Toast was cold. Coffee was way too strong. Not much ham in the omelette . Omelette was over cooked & dry. English muffin came after we at our food halfway thru. But probably most friendliest workers. & was clean & bright

Decent old school college town diner. Food was nothing special. Menu says the SOS is "famous" but it seemed pretty basic. Service lackluster. Server never showed up unless I called for him. Folks saying prices are lower than other places around which I didn't really notice. Seemed on par with other breakfast spots. I'd go again if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way.

Overall, I had a pretty decent experience at College Park Diner. First reason, it was one of the few spots that was open on an early Sunday morning (around 6:30 am). Second, the prices were pretty low compared to other breakfast spots in the area. At first, I was very excited to learn about the two pancakes, two eggs, and two strips of bacon deal for like nine bucks that I saw when pulling into the parking lot. Although I learned that special is honored during weekdays, the waitress informed me of some other specials. I eventually went with the half waffle, one egg, and one sausage deal that was about 10 bucks. I thought the food was pretty good, and the service was very prompt. I will say that College Park Diner has a very old school diner vibe to it. So, this place might not be for you if you are into eating in an environment with fancy bells and whistles. But if you are into a pretty cheap meal that will stick to your bones, then this might be the place for you.

Quality of food was not great. Steak out of a bag and oil more than cheese in the mac and cheese. However the service was great because the workers were nice and felt like an old school diner atmosphere. Just wanted to try but don't think i'll be back.

This diner is a tiny hidden gem. It's really small and always a wait time. But it's definitely worth the wait. I got fajitas (my usual) I didn't dine in today, I ordered carry out. The service is always A1. Everything I've tasted here has been good. Every now and then someone in the kitchen dries out the potatoes while cooking them. But it doesn't happen often so I will let that slide. It's a small mom and pop diner so there really isn't really any nice ambiance, just good eats.

Was recently at one of the car dealerships down the street for service. Decided, with the long wait, to walk over to this diner. It is nice that they have many employees working here and all were friendly. The food though was lackluster. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting a gourmet breakfast, but everything was bland with little to no seasoning. They have limited seating, as it is a small building. I was able to immediately sit at the counter, but there were people wanting for at least 15 minutes or so for a table while I was there during the late breakfast rush., I later discovered there is an IHOP down the street, so you may want to give it a shot if wanting breakfast. I won't totally rule out trying this place in a future, as I may give their lunch items a try.

However, I would say that the music plays from a little Bluetooth on the corner of the restaurant and it's not the greatest quality, would cut in and out, and it was just blaring way too loud, making it hard to have regular conversations. Service wasn't too bad overall. There was only one weight staff who had all the tables in the restaurant which made her spread out pretty thin. But we wouldn't get regular refills or Water and took so long to get water (waiting up to 20 min to try to get her attention) and at the end of our time together she finally gave us a pitcher of Water, but a little late as we're most done. Also, it took a while to get basic things we had ordered coffee but either she forgot to bring us coffee or she didn't ring it in and we weren't able to get it until after our food was delivered. So service, while she was friendly and kind, our service was definitely subpar. Hopefully this wasn't bc she had automatic tip bc our party was so large for her lack of service. 1/5 for service The food was amazing for the most part. I had gotten the salmon BLT and it was moist and tender with good flavor and seasoning, and the bread had a great texture and flavor to it as well. The bacon was nice and smoky and the sauce that was paired with it made it great. The hashbrowns were so crispy and seasoned with great flavor and salt! This was a winner! 4.5/5 Yeah, I got a bunch of other dishes, but I only tried small bites here and there of other people stuff. What I would say, is that the Cajun pasta shrimp was cooked perfectly and was tender and had great flavor! And that sauce was amazing! The sausage I tried wasn't the best but decent! We got biscuits and wings as appetizers, and the wings were great, good flavor, good crunch, and a decent size. However, there needs to be more wings in the order for the price. The hot honey sauce as good! 4/5 The biscuits were pretty moist and had a great texture and consistency, You get two for the order! 4/5 Overall, the food is pretty amazing. However, the service was pretty bad. Maybe this was a one off but just prepared for a long waits for everything from water to getting a drink order.
