He enjoys coming every week and is so excited to start practicing his moves once he gets home. Master Lowe was a substitute teacher previously, so he knows how to work with all behaviors of children. He is patient, tough when he knows the kid needs it, nurturing and caring. Master Lowe talks with the parents and keeps everyone informed on how their child is doing, what the upcoming events are and any changes to the classes. I trained in this art for over 20 years. I exceeded my own expectations under Headmaster's training. His blackbelt classes were unbelievable.... the techniques were very advanced. Made promoting well worth the time and effort. Headmaster is a kind but firm teacher. I was doing a one on one class with him once and questioned a technique that was part of a form I was learning. It seemed a little weak to me, and I made the mistake of asking him how this technique could possibly work in a real fight. The next thing I knew, I was flat on my back....from the technique I had just asked him about. He is a strong, stocky man, but lightening quick. I happened to be in Norco a few years back just after the pandemic and I stopped by the studio. It still had the sign up, but was completely gutted inside. Broke my heart. He meant so much to his students. The ultimate example of humility, power, and martial arts skill. The perfect teacher. He would even require the young students to bring in their report cards. If they weren't doing well in school, he would tell them to improve their grades, or he wouldn't let them train. Grandmaster Tiger Yangs school in Fullerton closed down a few years ago also. I also suggest adding more variety to the cable attachments. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the facility needs attention. The bathrooms and sinks are often dirty, and there is a frequent shortage of paper towels and cleaning spray. This is particularly concerning as many members do not wipe down equipment after use. Given that other local gyms offer more equipment and better maintenance at a competitive price point, I believe these improvements are necessary to ensure the gym remains a good value for its members.
