This review is based on my experience on Jan. 2019. Recently replaced my 4 brake pads and rotors (Nov. 2018) at another location in Poway (brake experts). Within 3 weeks I began to have breaking issues after taking it back to the same shop over and over again (3 times) amd not finding a solution, I decided to go elsewhere. I was recommended by a family member to check out champion tires. So I did.. the Brake specialist knew right away what the issue was and took care of it. BE AWARE!!! I went there to install new tires, they scratched badly three rims on my car. I spoke to the owner to resolved this issue. He sad there is nothing they can do. This is normal practice and they not responsible if they damege somthing. After arguing for 5 min he refused to cover damege caused by them. Stay away. read more

I brought my car to them last December, I needed an alignment, the right side axle, and tie rods. I had my own part's, brand new, I just needed the labor. They quoted me $300, I agreed. After 2 days I called them and they said they were not done yet, so the next day, I couldn't get ahold of them so I had a friend drive me out there, and they said they weren't done yet, I asked where my car was because I didn't see it anywhere, they said in the back, couldn't see it, so the next day he called me and said they noticed I brought two axles and only one needed replaced but since I had both they might as well put both of them on I agreed so when I went to go pick up my car there was a brand new axle on the floor of my passenger inside my car was parked on the street I thought well they were supposed to put the song I called them up when I got home and they said that would have been an extra fee and I told him they didn't tell me that on the phone they are the ones that agreed that it should be put on with the other one well that didn't happen and now two months later he did not give me a receipt I have been sick with covid and have not been able to contact them till recently my alignment is terrible it's pulling to the left point to the right they said there was only a 30-day warranty on that and I told him well how was I supposed to know they did not give me receipt and I have asked them for a receipt previously this is unacceptable it's very bad! I'll be pursuing this matter asap! read more

HORRIBLE Warranty Service and Improper, Poor Tire Alignment Service. I bought 4 NEW Tires from Champion Tires Fall last year $100 each. I had my tires aligned on their new machine in just May, May 15 2017 of this year, by late Sept 2017 (4 months later) they told me my vehicle, tires needed to be aligned AGAIN!! As my new tires bought through them in late 2016 had only 17,000 miles on them, and rotated every 4-5000 miles were wearing out from the inside edges!! They would not replace the NEW Tires bought in Sept 2016, with a 40,000 mile warranty, but I only put 17,000 on them and they absolutely do not keep proper customer records onsite. I was able recently buy Brand New tires at Discount Tire for just $128 each, including free rotation with a FULL 50,000 mile warranty. I then took to my new mechanic who re-aligned my tires for the same $60 Champion Tires is now charging, and they told me typical alignments should last 8-12 months, NOT 4 MONTHS!!! POOR, POOR to NO customer and warranty Service, and horrible record keeping by Champion TIRES. BE WARNED!!! read more

My 92 y/o vet father had 2 tires literally rotting and needed immediate replacement. He has an old van and only needed budget minded tires since mileage is less than 5000/ yr. That said, I requested a quote and was also given a quote for a matched pair of USED tires @$35 each "out the door" mounted and balanced. When I arrived, turns out they didn't have my requested size, but another was offered and installed. They had a little less tread than I would have hoped, but for our application they'll certainly last at least 2 years until the next CA smog test milestone. No warranty was offered or expected, but this should fulfill our need. read more

I wish I could give zero stars, I got a used tire for my car. Came out to my vehicle in the morning, completely flat, had to get someone to come over to blow it up so I could make it back to the shop. I called them, gentleman told me "I'm the manager" wouldn't let me talk to the owner said he wasn't there but he would "take care of me" they put on a new tire, I feel like this was spite, the tire they just replaced, went flat on me, within moments on a 1 lane highway. 11/2/18- Was referred to shop due to home proximity.Arrived @5pm with a flat spare tire. Technician explained tire unrepairable & need to buy new. Paid $50, told to return next day to Change tire to original rim as unsafe to drive on spare. Went next day, was told needed to buy another new tire as rims were different sizes. When arrived, owner declined having sold me tire, showed him receipt & said son sold it & said now was used & cld not exchange. After big discussion he agreed to dsc $30 from $60 new tire & take my "new", now "used" spare to resell, but refused to resell to me. Went to Joes tires, refuse to do business with thiefs. Btw, owner said was charging $20 for mounting & balancing (labor) , clearly he wasn't there, as I removed spare & mounted myself. There was no mounting, nor balancing other than by me. As good as it gets in the used tire industry. Seriously, these guys have always been professional and I've never had a problem with their tires. I bought my first set of used tires from these guys back in 2003 when I lived in the area. Through out the years I've bought used and new tires, rims, and had repairs done on flat tires at this shop. I'm now on the other side of the city but I still make my way down to Spring Valley to get tires from these guys. Woke up this morning to a flat tire. Called them at 7:58AM and they actually answered despite the fact that they don't open til 8AM. I let them know I had a flat tire and they told me to come right in. It only took about 10 minutes for them to get it fixed up and I was able to make it to work for a 9:00AM shift. read more

While I was there, two people came in with complaints and the owner refused to refund their money. Instead they had both customers take new (used) tires instead. My truck was already up, wheels removed so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Sure enough, one of the tires we got went flat. We had spent over $150 and they wouldn't refund us the money or give us a matching set. Now we have 3 matching tires and 1 that's doesn't match and is more worn. I don't think they inspect the tires they buy. When we had our tire looked at by real professionals, they pointed out the replacement had a gash and should never had been resold. These people will put you on the road on bad tires just to earn a buck. You get what you pay for. Always trust your instincts. read more

Have been needing new tires for A WHILE. Left work at 1100 to go to lunch and found I had a flat.....the kicker is, I had a very important medical appointment at 130 that I needed to be at and I had to go home first to change. Went to a tire shop in National City (the one on the Navy base) and the man told me it would be at LEAST 3 hours to put on my tires. So I drove home, very slowly, on my spare tire, determined to find a place closer to home to do it. I showed up thinking it would take about an hour to get my tires on, but in reality it took about 15-20 minutes from when I got there. Paid several times to have an alignment done on my car because it's not driving straight and these folks think that they can just print a sheet with the alignment numbers all wrong and then stamp it saying that they have no warranty to have it adjusted if the numbers are not where they should be for my car to drive STRAIGHT you are NOT fixing what I just came in for. I bought 4 new tires from here and paid for an alignment. On the way out the alignment was off slightly and drifted to the right and the steering wheel was still turned to the left. Didn't notice any of it till I got on the freeway but we were headed on a trip so decided to bring it back after the trip. So I drove in and told the owner what was going on and that I would like the alignment redone so the wheel is straight again. He told me to pull over in one of the bays and had his employee start taking the tires off the front and swapping them around. I said what are you doing? (to the employee). Said his boss (the owner) told him to. I said Really? Cause that's not what I asked for. He finished swapping the tires and one other guy said ok your good to go! I said what??!!! No that's not what I came here for. I had to go talk to the owner again and he told me my suspension was bad and that's why it was off! I said no my suspension is fine and the alignment is the problem! Get one of your guys on it and I'll wait. He said oh as soon as one goes to lunch and gets back I'll have him do it (it's 4:30 pm) really? I said well then u better get someone else on it cause this is BS. He said ok. Got some tweaked looking guy to redo the alignment and I asked him to test drive it after adjustment. He came back said it's all good your all set. I drove off the lot and the car was pulling to the right immediately and the steering wheel was off worse. Turned around brought it back and said it's worse now, guy looks under the car like it's gonna be something he can see? Really you can tell the alignment is off by looking under the car??!! Idiot, then says your gonna need a camber kit to fix it! I said no it doesn't you don't know what your doing, you didn't even adjust the front so the wheel would be straitened, just dumb as rocks. He puts it back on the rack adjusts the back again which has nothing to do with the problem, reverses it back into a spot puts the key on the passenger seat and walks away! Comes back 5 min later says here's a printout if the alignment, clearly still off and no previous adjustment shown before and after just the one current. I was soo hot, I wanted my money back and went to talk to the owner but he had just grabbed some paperwork from his office and hightailed it out of there! Wow what customer service, this is such a rip off place for alignments, the machine sucks and they take your money and stamp no warranty on your paperwork before you leave! Just a complete waste of my time and brand new tires are being ruined. Sad to say I will never be returning here, I just wanted them to make it right and they failed miserably! I had the best experience here the other day. Quick service, extremely affordable price, and really nice people. I had a tire that kept losing air and I wasn't sure why so I took it in to get checked. As soon as I got there, they took the tire off, checked for leaks and found a chunk missing from the side of my tire. They replaced it with a used tire in great shape for only $50. I'm driving down the highway and a nice person tell me i should pull over cause my tire is coming off the rim and he was actually right. make sure the tire fit the rim cause you may kill yourself depending how fast you are driving and tire come's off. also when fauko who say he is the manager said that he will refund me because of the situation but when I got there he said I had to wait 10 mins which ended up 20 mins to wait for the guy who sold me the tire then when the causcian/mexican guy came he said he didnt sell me the tire but he is the one who put it on the first time n i came back he fixed the tire the second time. but now he didnt sell me the tire I also have the receipt because of one tire being fixed by a sloppy company who don't have it their best interest to do the job right my tire slipped off my rim cause it was to big and cracked my rim so i had to get a set of 4 new rim's cause my rim is discontinued. Now I'm out of pocket over a thousand dollar's over a rim that cost 45 dollar's. I had 1 tire flat from my mom leaving a rake on the drive way and another tire who had a large 2 inch screw in it. Along with 3 other tires who's treads were no longer then 3cm. I went to Champion Discount Tire Center and got 4 tires with 50% more tread then the previous tires I had on. They installed all the tires within 30 minutes! It cost me $190.85 ($45 + each tire). But it was so worth it! I will definitely buy from again and will tell my friends about this place. read more

I went in on a Wednesday morning with no appointment and was greeted at my car by one of the guys as soon as I got out. That doesn't happen anywhere. Told him what I was looking for and they were putting tires on my car within 5 minutes. I also got an alignment. I was out of there in 45 minutes. 10 YEARS LATER THE SERVICE IS STILL AWESOME I used to go here over 10 years ago with my tire needs. It was the only big tire shop in the area at the time. I was always able to talk with someone friendly and make a "deal". I recently moved back in the area and found that Champion tire is bigger and better. They have more inventory then before and a new alignment rack. Beyond tires and alignment. I needed some quick work done in a pinch and the guys really helped me out. They actually charged less then anywhere without me asking for a better deal. The quote was for a certain amount, but the job ran long. They did not charge me extra and were true to their word.
