Beware of membership scam!! I went to Champion Xpress Car Wash on 6/04. I told the attendant I would like a single car wash. The attendant explained to me that they were running a special for a month for the price of a single car wash. I gave her my credit card and I was charged for the single car wash price. I went to have my car washed on 7/06, the attendant was by the door of the business not at the gate. She waved me through so I assumed my month was still valid. I checked my credit card account last night and saw I was charged on 7/04 for $26.74. I called Champion Express Car Wash headquarters to report the non authorized charge. The man apologized, said he would cancel my membership but I would still have to pay for the month of July since I used the car wash on 7/06. I explained to him that I did not sign up for a membership and was charged on 7/04 prior to washing my car on 7/06. I also explained that I paid for a single wash on 6/04 but was given the month for that single car wash price. He said he has my signature signing me up for a membership. Not sure whose signature he has because I did not sign for my credit card swipe at the gate. I also explained that the attendant was not at the gate but waved me through and he still stated I used the car wash on 7/06 so I had to pay for the membership. No customer service whatsoever! Absolutely went downhill, service was refused for zero reason. When I was told, I cannot pay for a wash and I'm barred from going through. I thanked the guy and he asked for cigs. Odd, I cannot wash my car and the guy begging me for a smoke. I recommend going to hyvee for a fraction of the price. Do better Champion Xpress. read more

The price of is outrageous! $14.00, $22.00 and $26.00!!! I have never heard of such an expensive car wash. I actually live in a large city and have never seen anything higher than $18.00. When we were entering the drying portion, the car still had soap on it. It was a very quick wash and my car was still dirty. read more

My wife and I being super, super, senior citizens(past mid 80's) felt blessed when Champion Express car was came to Burlington, Iowa as we believed them to be a business based on Christian ethics and hand washing had become quite a struggle. While we were pleased with the wash, problems arose with our membership. First, the membership was for Iowa City car wash and several charges had been made there although we had never been there. Next I had contacted customer service to put our membership on vacation status as we were going to be gone from late December until early March. Unfortunately we were charged anyway. After many attempts at texting we finally had a credit applied. This past year several billing issues arose and I sent numerous inquiries trying to resolve the issue and out of frustration I asked in a Text if anyone actually read these or if the robo response always used. Finally I got a text from Carlos who after reviewing my membership agreed to credit my account up until October 1st this year. I went for a car wash shortly after that time and was informed my membership had been cancelled, with no explanation! We are perplexed by this treatment as I learned being cancelled means they don't want us back again. It's almost like elder abuse! read more

I never write reviews but after having all 4 wheels on my f150 ruined. Dont take a full size truck thru. There is also no way to exit if you are uncofortable with the sales pitch on the check in process. There was also no attendant to warn me that this might happen. read more

Firstly, I did not appreciate having to hear a sales pitch when I pulled up to pay. However, I did buy a unlimited monthly pass for $22. I believe. It was the worst wash I have ever seen. None of my windows got clean. Especially given an employee Was inside the garage appearing to scrub them. Basically my door panels and the hood of my car were the only things that got cleaned. Secondly, the dryers were insufficient. Thirdly, this monthly pass does not include usage of vacuum or any amenities for cleaning the inside. Bummed. But at least I can go through it daily for a month lol. read more

Functionally good car wash in my experience, but why dont they give you more room in the curved around lane that directs you to the entrance. Tire and wheel checks all over the curbing because its too narrow. Good thing I have a ford ranger and not something wide, or Id be pissed. Recently they have put someone at the credit card thing to 'help' you do your card. And then they pressure you for a tip which is on the electronic thing and starts at $2. This better be going to the guy that squirts down your vehicle and not this card helper guy. Ive been avoiding this place lately specifically for the tip and card helper. If i can drive a car I should be able to stick a card in a slot, no? read more

I went thru this car wash at the beginning was no water then the big roller went over my car dry then went on and there was no soap then light water. Car was just as dirty as when I went in. Not a good experience and I have a membership. Come on Champion in Burlington do better you just raised the rates but the service is bad. read more

After discovering damage to my vehicle. I returned to the location to discuss it with an employee. The employee on duty told me "i dont think they be doing nothing about that". After 3 weeks of calling i got in touch with the owner Jason. Jason immediately claimed he reviewed video and noted scratches in areas unrelated to the complaint area. He used that comment as basis for refusal to take responsibility for the damage and hung up on me. Jason is looking out for himself not for his customers. read more

Does great and cleans very deep. Only issue is on our black vehicle it leaves some water spots. They wipe up easy with microfiber towels. Overall an excellent wash and price!! Give it a try. read more
