They were so easy to contact and provided the most incredible cheese to go with the margaritas that we brought along. None of the bridesmaids nor the bride are avid sailors (2 had never been on a sailboat) and Jeff made us feel at ease. The day had a bit of rain but cleared into a light misting for our trip and we were able to enjoy the ride without the cover for most of it. The father and son team is hilarious and kept us joking around with them the whole time. Would highly recommend their service and definitely will return soon!

They offered to drive their boat over to do this on my mooring but failed to mention I would be charged for the travel time. Had I known that, I would have brought the boat to them and left it. So I was more than a little surprised when I was charged for almost 4 hours of work that, generously, should have taken only 2, even including the travel time. My own experience is that changing the oil is about a 30-minute task and this was confirmed by checking with other boatyards. So - buyer beware. .

His friend Dave joined us on the sail, and we loved his warm personality and fascinating knowledge of the history of Lake Champlain. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Gideon offered to teach us the basics of sailing, which we happily accepted. It was both fun and engaging to learn from someone who clearly loves what he does and enjoys sharing that passion with others. By the end of the trip, we felt like we had experienced far more than just a beautiful sail--we had learned something new, met wonderful people, and created a memorable part of our vacation. We were celebrating pur 16th wedding anniversary and he truly made it special. The Beloved Mare is a great sailboat with plenty of seating in the usual area but also outfitted with benches made of pvc/wood up front to sit on as well. They fold down when not in use so these make the ride comfortable and enjoyable. Gideon furnished us with beverages and sunscreen to make us comfortable. There are facilities on board though we didn't partake. The fun part was learning about the geology and history of the area "Gideon-version." He was a hoot and made us all laugh so much. We really enjoyed our sail and highly recommend Gideon.
