At 47 years old, i prided myself that I had not had potty accident in approximately 44 years (with the exception of a classmates Halloween party in 6th grade, it to be honest, his Leatherface costume was VERY convincing). While I'm happy to say that this streak continues, there were several spots along my trip at ArborTrek where the streak was in significant jeopardy. The fact that it got to that point, and the fact that I never cascaded over that edge, is an absolute testament to the adventures at ArborTrek. Our guides, Steve and Kris, were the perfect combination of Golden Girls. Quick witted, caring, sarcastic, and possibly from Sicily. Or Montpelier. Who can really tell these days? These dudes knew their stuff...and were awesome at explaining it, encouraging members of our party, firm in getting us to "trust the equipment", and personable in explaining all stations accurately and clearly. They were absolutely terrific. The guides were able to give tips on other local attractions and were such wonderfully nice people, we can't wait to come back!

My two kids and I were guided by Sean and Isiah today and we had a blast! The views from the treetops were breathtaking and it was thrilling to ride on 8 ziplines, cross two suspension bridges and repel twice. We also learned some interesting ecology facts. Highly recommend this adventure!

As a Fathers Day gift, I took my father here for the All Day Adventure and it was absolutely fabulous! We started on the ziplines which were tons of fun. Foliage was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the tour guides were great! Next was climbing. The climbing course had a variety of different challenges and while they were fun and challenging, my dad and I both agree that they should think about putting a bell at the top of each climb. That way you could reach a reward at the end of your struggle! And then came the rope course. It took a minute to figure out the hooking and unhooking and being in a group of 12 with kids made getting through the small course take a while, but once we reached the Back Forty, we got our challenge! Tons of crazy obstacles and plenty of different things to keep you busy. We had a ton of fun and really hope to come back again soon!

One of the two bridges you get to cross!

Wow! Zip line tour! Ben and Allison were simply WONDERFUL! Very thorough with ALL safety. Very nice team! I was super nervous and they both were very encouraging! We had a great time! Yes it's pricey but it was worth it! Thank you to the both of you!

My car from our accident that caused our injuries.

My girlfriend and I were scheduled for 12 today for the canopy zip line tour. About 3 days ago we noticed the heat advisory report for the area and the rising humidity level. My girlfriend has severe asthma and has trouble in this insane heat with breathing. The area feels quite like sticky Florida weather. We decided to call and ask for a refund. I spoke with a woman named April that did not address her self as a manager. When we told her we wanted to cancel she informed us that only the manager can approve things like this and that we might not get our money back because it's within 72 hours. We asked to speak with a manager a soon as possible and she said she would leave a note for him (the manager) when he got back. Ironically about 20 minutes later I was involved in a car accident. My car was rear ended and then pushed into another car causing injuries to both of our necks and backs. I added the picture of the car below. Both of us I decided at that point that we definitely cannot handle zip lining with sore neck and backs in insane heat with an asthma problem. We received a call the next morning from April, who never addressed her self at any point as a manager, informed me that we would not be receiving a refund but instead a gift certificate. I then told her about our car accident and injuries and that we definitely cannot do the tour(also offered pictures of the accident). We asked to speak with the manager and were informed that he was not in but would be in tomorrow. April was not understanding at all and said "I hope you as a 27 year old adult can understand the importance of our manager being with his family today" which felt a little unnecessary and insulting given the fact that it is the early morning on a Friday and we requested to speak with a manager twice. We then received a call a few hours later from April repeating once again that we will not get a refund and instead a gift certificate. We should also mention that we're from out of state (4.5 hours away) We then requested for the manager to speak with us as soon as possible. The manager finally called us and informed us that we would not be getting a refund but instead a gift certificate. He then insulted us for "undermining my staff and going over their heads" the staff never at any point called themselves managers and never made any decisions without the actual manager. Terrible experience with the staff. Gift certificate will most likely go unused.

My adrenaline was kicking in after the first line. Height was never my problem, standing at 4 feet 11 inches, wasn't a big deal from birth . Tour guide making us comfortable from thousand feet up with his dad joke. Will go definitely go back and already excited, for another dad joke..kidding.

We got there 10minutes early and were informed some guidelines to follow. Got myself a hat since I forgot to bring one was pretty cold. Since it was during offseason we were only ones there. We were escorted to the gear house and equipped with helmet, safety harness and a latch. The staff gave us a ride to the zip line course and took a truck up the hill. They did tell us to make sure to keep helmet on and seatbelt because it was going to be rough ride up due to it being mud season. It sure was a rough ride up and probably was in the air quite a few times during the ride. I looked at one of the staff and used my foot to secure myself like he was doing to keep myself stable which helped. It was definitely the toughest part of the experience. Once we got to the zip line area we were given a brief instructions for safety and we buckled up and started our zip line session. In the beginning it was a bit intimidating but the staffs were all very nice and made us feel safe during the experience. Once we got going it was very enjoyable and thrilling. It was cold but we were mostly prepared and dressed warm and the hat I purchased helped. The views were also beautiful. At the end we got to go in a treehouse and take some picture at the end. After we finished we were escorted back to the truck and took the van to the main facility which was a mild ride compared to on the way. We dropped off our equipments and left the facility. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and had a great time. Everyone was nice and accommodating made us feel safe. It was also nice that we were only ones there because we got a private session and full attention during the experience. Definitely would recommend for those that enjoy or beginner who would like to try zip lining. My partner who can be la little anxious about these experience enjoyed it and was perfectly fine throughout the experience. The experience was a bit on pricier side but I think it was worth it.

We wanted to find something that was small and rustic so I googled small upstate weddings and found a reddit thread that led us to Experience Outoors. We saw pictures on their website with beautiful views on Scott Cobble's Mountain that fit 20-40 guests, just what we were looking for. We booked it sight unseen after talking with their venue coordinator, Claire. She was so nice and after talking with her, we knew it was the right place for us. We booked a tour of the venue there over winter which Bailey met us and showed us around and even covered in snow, it was beautiful. Closer to the wedding, Claire followed up with us on our guest count, decor, timeline of the day, etc. We were able to come the day before and rehearse. They said they'd help set-up all our decor. We didn't have too much. We had a small pallet welcome sign, a few pots of mums and flower petals in cones but we were so grateful that they could set-up for us. We used a speaker at the ceremony to play our pre-ceremony music, processional, pre-recording readings, recessional and post-recessional music. Lauren helped us the day before and day of with driving us all up to the ceremony venue and she manned the phone connected to the speaker and drove the music changes. Everything went so well. It was a perfect day in a perfect venue with all of our closest loved ones and we will never forget it. The venue includes ziplining for the bride and groom anytime over the weekend so we did a group zipline the day after with a bunch of our guests. Our guests got 15% off of their tour. We had Cheeky (Lauren) and Firelord as our guides for ziplining. We all got names chosen for us by someone else in the group to be called upon for the tour. They suited us all up, walked us through the how to go and stop on the lines and we went through a bunch of zip lines at various speeds, rappels and a few mini hikes. It was a blast. I failed the trust fall though haha. They take photos of everyone through the tour for us to look at afterwards. Everyone here is so friendly. We loved everything about this venue and plan to go back and visit when we can.
