The courses were casual and comfortable and taught me basic skills to get me independently out on the water. And the CSC staff were knowledgeable, friendly, kind, patient, and supportive throughout my experience. And once you've learned how to sail, if you don't have a boat or a place to put one... the rentals and reasonably priced season pass practically guarantee you (and any friends or family you might want to bring along) at least a couple hours a day out on a sailboat (or a kayak or paddleboard if there's no wind lol) for the whole summer. It's hard to beat sailing on beautiful Lake Champlain on a sunny and breezy summer day!! Watching them work together, encourage each other, and take real ownership of "helping sail the boat" was such a highlight of the day. Great price. 1 1/2 is quite a bit. Kids were done after an hour and a half. The beach slowly gets deeper so you can go out quite a ways before you are over your head so it is great for beginners. If you are experienced you can just paddle around the corner and it gets deeper. Also there is a boat mooring spot out by the buoys and you can paddle out there. Quick and easy transaction. They even gave a brief intro for the kids about turning, balancing, and safety. Definetly coming back when I go to Burlington again!

She made the process easy and understandable. The 21' pontoon was the best we've ever rented. Clean, in perfect shape, and outfitted with an electronic gizmo that served as chart and depth finder. Emily took time to explain everything to us, and made sure we knew where emergency equipment was located. Had a perfect day on the water with no issues with the boat. Emily was at the gas dock when we got back and made disembarking and refueling a breeze. Bonus at Ladd's Landing is that you can stay on the East side of Grand Isle or take a left out of the marina, go under the bridge and cross to the west side of the island for sunsets. 100% recommend this business!
