Let's just say, we were ripped off royally!! I just wrote an entire review and it was erased…read moresomehow, so I will make this short and sweet unlike most of my reviews on Yelp!! I am sharing this to Google Reviews as well!! Long Story short, using our debit card was our own mistake and something we usually take for granted in washes where you can use a debit not all of them allow for it so it was kinda cool they they did and we thought would make it quicker and easier to pay and be done with it! How wrong we were!! Usually we use cash!! From now on, if we ever go to these kinds of car washes, we will use cash!! The machine went extremely slow literally like molasses moving one cent at a time when using our debit!! we had someplace to be and didn't have time to wait for such a slow, indecisive machine like that!! After doing that for a full minute or two it felt like it asked us to pick the cycle and my husband did, then it wanted more money like the greedy machine it was, lol!! We thought maybe we just had to pay first so he re swiped his card and again it asked the cycle choice and acted as if we didn't put money in!! By this point, we were done with it!! We just paid the $2 freaking dollars in cash and chose our cycle!! It worked okay from that point on but I was worried it had debited our account since we still had swiped his card!! I checked our account, holding my breath and sure enough, $10!! Ya, we could have paid for a Tommy's Express car wash cycle for $9 and they do it for you plus it's more Professional and thorough!! We're going to probably re-sign up next month for the monthly washes at Tommy's Express, at least until the coronavirus epidemic blows over because at least you pay once a month and they bill your card once!! Then, you're done with it and you can use their App and get unlimited washes as much as your heart desires!! The debit cleared today as $3 which upsets us, mostly because we had already paid $2 for the cheap thing!! Yes, I get it that it's cheap and $3 more isn't a lot but we basically paid double what it was worth and they still took money from our account when we already paid cash!! It's not right and if it can happen to us, it can happen to you too!! Whatever it is, maybe just that particular machine was squirrelly, but take a lesson from our mistake and just pay cash from the get go!! I felt we needed to share our experience because with people being tighter with money especially right now, you don't want to give out more money than you have to and especially just to a cheap car wash place!! We have had this same thing happen with laundry mat machines where it steals your money!! These companies should actually care about their services!!! Back in the days, people really took care and pride!! But the Ameircan heart is now only full of greed and the desire to get any kind of percentage they can off a person!! It's really sad really and hopefully we go back to our roots one day!! Although, until even simple places like this actually cares, we don't stand a chance, haha!!
Well, that's my rant and I will get off my soapbox now, ending with this simple lesson:
Just Don't Do It!! Pay cash and save your purse and wallet from being robbed royally!! And I do mean that, literally people!! At least keep this in the back of your head and when it does happen even after you've read this, don't say I didn't warn you!!
